;D That is the best news I have heard all week, Tina! I really hope he does help at that price! ;D I have a new doc too, & I hope he can help me too, though I'm going through the bit I hate, tests, full-body back X-rays, CATscans, I really hate tests, but if some good comes of it it is all worth it!

Oh no, Karima, what is the matter with you? It certainly sucks to have to go through all that stuff, for sure!

Oh man I am laughing myself silly at that! The image of you pushing a computer around in a cart looking for some place to plug in. Maybe thats so funny because it would be me too! But dang, $400! Thats the kind of thing we can get for $30 over here on medicare, that isn't right that you have to pay it all! karima, what is going on with you? You hadn't said you were so sick before. Hope you get the results you want.

Yeah, medical care is certainly expensive here. In order for me to get on medicare or medicaid, I'd have to divorce the hubby.

Harley's gonna get you, Sawyer! Lol! I sure you both Tina and Karima get all the help they need, and Tina, McDonald's has free wifi, so if you bring your laptop & sit outside, you might just be close enough!

These meds the doctor put me on have been messing with me today. First, I got so drowsy I couldn't hold my eyes open, so I went back to bed at eight am and slept until eleven. After I had lunch, I got nauseous and have felt sick ever since. Hopefully my body will adjust to them in a few days and they'll stop messing with me like this.

Ugg, well when I went on this new seizure med I felt like a zombie for about 5 weeks. I 'woke up' about 3 days before Christmas last year which was good, but I hope it doesn't take you that long. I would have quit but my massage lady who is a nurse said a drug can take 4-6 weeks to be adjusted to.

Oh gosh... one of the meds I'm on is a seizure drug. I guess it had something to do with nerves too. I hope it doesn't take that long to adjust. No, Jill, he didn't say this might happen, but he did warn me about constipation, etc. I thought it was clearing up a few minutes ago, but I'm still nauseous. Ack! lol

Weird. Although I know they use them for migraines too because it's the same area of the brain. Migraines and seizures are pretty closely related. Are you taking a split dose? One morning and one at night? I found I started to feel better around 2pm after my morning dose. It wasn't fun thats for sure. What drug is it? I've tried a heap of them.

I was on a blood pressure med for my migraines for awhile once. My blood pressure was fine, but like Jo said, sometimes a med for one thing works for something else entirely. (of course, not in my case. They didn't help at all! Lol!)
I sure hope it won't take 4 to 6 weeks! That's horrible for something that makes you so sick!

I only felt a bit nauseious for a couple of weeks I think. Although I was such a zombie at the time I may have forgoten. Rather like being pregnant.

Well, he started me on three new meds all at once, so it's hard to tell which one is doing what. All three of them can cause drowsiness, though.
Yes, it's a split dose. It's called Levetiracetam.

Oh my keppra?! That's my med. I'm only taking a half dose. 250 and 250. I hope your not on 500? You do realize that is a very expensive med? The Dr has to ring my script through to whatever body decides these things and I get it way, way cheaper for about $40 instead of a $140.
