Well I can't say my own track record with Dr has been great. I had one who took out my tonsils, adenoids and do something to my nose which did nothing, Another who said I needed to see a shrink when I was 12, when I actually had a folic acid deficiency due to my meds and just needed some high dose supplements. (Took 6 Dr to figure that out ) A third gave me a toxic liver by overdosing me on my meds, a forth I 'had' to see who I waited 3 hours to see, told me the same thing as my regular Dr (I knew he would) and had the bedside manner of Jack the ripper, Then of course even my nice neurologist who took me off meds 9 years ago because of the EEG reading on old equipment instead of giving me the MRI back then which would have shown my condition no trouble at all. So yes I don't have much faith in Dr's. If it takes 6 to figure out a vitamin deficiency of what should be "common knowledge" according to the sixth who was the only one who knew his stuff. I can't even begin to think how many it might take to get your eye sorted. But I bet there is someone out there that could help. I would Google and look at message boards. I find those are often a source of knowledge. Lol I am so tired, I probably just typed a heap of gobdegook up there.

WOW Jo! you've been through alot! @tina: Unfortunately the internet can't have alot on the subject if no one has heard of it and puts it out there for someone to find. Sometimes it takes talking to a Professional like my eye doctor to actually get at the truth! I am lucky he knows what he's doing and cares about other people, but then he's always been like that! I have run into the other type that do not know a damn thing they doing and I left and went to find another doctor until I found one one that was competent and seemed to know what he's doing. Calling AMA, (American Medical Association),helps ,too. They usually have a list of Doctors who are the best in the business and are not shy in letting you know who these doctors are and how to find them.

I think anyone with a long term condition goes through a lot. I've had mine all my life, which is plenty of time to run into moronic Dr's.

Well, they're all not what they're cracked up to be, that's for sure! Everything mine have to 'help' me, has only made me worse.

I'll be going to the Doctor in about 45 minutes. I'm getting nervous about what he will say and if he's want some tests done. But the way I've been feeling all March, especially the episodes were I get hot, stand up and nearly keel over need to be looked at I know. Hope it all goes ok. *nervous*

Thanks Tina. Well I'm back, and yes I do have low blood pressure. I saw it was 82 on the bottom. That was done standing. He wasn't much help, just told me to avoid getting hot and then standing up. Said my slight on again/off again breathing trouble was probably my allergies and that I should take a 24 hour Telfast every day. Said nothing about my headache or generally feeling like cr@p except my age plus my medication might be the cause. Typical Dr visit I guess. Anyway I figure I will try some herbal recommendations I saw online for low blood pressure.

Sheesh! Well, it appears I'm not the only one with useless doctors! They piss me off so much! They don't seem to care about a person's pain, but I'll bet they would if it was happening to them! Well, I hope you find something to help and that you're feeling better soon. I guess allergies could make you feel crappy though.

Tina you make me laugh Thanks I needed that. Most Doctors are the same it would seem. One good thing I haven't had a headache the last 4 days.

They sure do. It's like having cold/flu symptoms all the time. Hot/cold, headaches, bodyaches, can't take a full breath, dizzy, lots of crappy stuff with allergies. Boy, aren't we a bunch of sickies???

I didn't realize allergies could have so many bad effects. Well I guess if I have allergies, plus the side effects of my seizure med, plus the low blood pressure, that probably does account for the horrible way I've been feeling all month I guess. I did have some kind of flu bug at the start of the month so maybe that just aggravated it all.

Well, maybe the allergy meds will help then. I'm glad I made you laugh. That's something, at least!

Well, it seems as if I may have FINALLY found a doctor that may help me with some of my issues! The doctor at the pain clinic was very nice, seems very knowledgeable, as well as sympathetic to my problems. He's expensive, but worth every penny if it gets me any relief. Now I just have to hope that the drugs he prescribed actually work. I sure hope so because I just spent $209.00 dollars on the stuff after giving him $400.00 cash! If this keeps up, I'll be a homeless bag lady pushing my computer around in a shopping cart, wishing I had a place to hook it up to some electricity and internet!
