 WOW! I am so intrigued with this!  So, Drucilla, sent those soul suckers to find Alexis( I am sure he will be punished by her as he intended to keep her for himself!) & she was saved by her mysterious but constant companion, Uriah! I can only wait to find out more, but I am loving the two different splits in time & I presume realms!But does Alexis exist in both? Or is she split between both? ;D Thank you so much, I hope you do not have trouble reading my replies on your site, as I am dyslexic & need spell check!(I put the wrong code in for my smiley, I am sure you will see that!)

The comment about Drucilla will only make much more sense in later chapters. Uriah and Alexis met in her trance but whether or not it was him who saved her in the church remains to be seen. Oh, Val! I missed your update! Thank goodness Karima flagged me! What a wonderful chapter! I love it, now that we're getting into the story itself, it's so exciting!!!
I am SO in love with this story!!! I guess Uriah's ability only works for Alexis, because I've been calling for him all afternoon and he hasn't shown up! Lol!
Am I reading too much into this, or did the man in the hood look a little like Jared?
Now we're really getting into the good stuff! I can't wait to see what's in store for "God is with me" and Protector of Mankind!"
In the meantime..."Uriah! Uriah! I need you!"

WOW Val! This was a good chapter I enjoyed it! I notice you combined Ch.3&4 like you told me. By doing that to me, it seems so much got left out from what I read before. It still a good story, but I liked the way you had it set up before. It just seems like so much is missing. BTW,for those of you who don't know, for my birthday, Val let me read the first five chapters of Fallen. It was great and still is. I have to admit that I don't like the fact that more of the good stuff got left out. Oh well, maybe you can work it into a future chapter. It's still worth 5 stars! I guess I'm just disappointed as I really liked it better the other way.  |

Jill, I'm here, holding up my white flag  Now, let me address all your concerns one at a time. @jill, I don’t think Drake will be too impressed knowing you’re calling Uriah all the time now:-) And I can safely say the man in the hood is not our Jared. And no, sorry, the calling bit only works for Alexis. Thanks for reading and I hope chapter four won’t disappoint. @ Holley, I’d have the trances all the time too if I was Alexis. I know, the irony about the church…she was supposed to feel safe there and yet danger pursued her right in but yeah, Alexis has much to be thankful for. And what’s a few trances here and there when she was almost killed by Lord knows what! @jo, by the looks of things Matthew definitely knows something, but what Alexis should be more concerned about is why her father wants to keep playing dumb. Perhaps dad really knows what's best for her and the truth is best left unknown. Now, I've been getting a lot of ponderings on the parallel universes and I guess only time will tell. Robin was kind enough to read a very rough draft of Fallen. I didn't leave out much really except that a lot of the dialogue in church between the hooded figure and Alexis' divine intervention was in Romanian. The strange language added to the intensity during the confrontation since both sides were battling for Alexis soul and because she doesn't know a word of Romanian it would have thrown her deeper into confusion.
But at the very last minute I decided against using a foreign language because, one I didn't know how I'd add the English translation into the story and two because I'd have to use Romanian all the time when the two entities ever interacted again and I didn't want to fall into a trap of having to add subtitles all the time. Again, the chant by the female, musical voice at the end of the first scene when Alexis' is being put to sleep was also in Romanian.
The language was really a small part of the plot and whether it was in English or Romanian did not change the overall plot. Ladies you didn't miss out much really from the draft and I guess Robin feels a lot was left out because she read the initial draft. It's like reading a book and then watching a movie I suppose. |
