Ning! Yay you finally caught up. The psychic bit will only be cleared up in much later chapters. Uriah isn't really cold, he's just the quiet type. He's just 'met' Alexis so he really doesn't know how to act around her. The falling in love bit, I wouldn't hold my breath on it, now that Brenna's warned Alexis off I'm not sure if you read the preludes but they clear up a bit of Uriah and Brenna. But as her Whitelighter Uriah's supposed to make sure she's safe and okay and since she's been missing from school for a few days the invite to the party was just an excuse to check in on her. The twins could not have moved to Lake Witchyka at a worst time. Their arrival coincided with Nancy's death and Jared going missing so they really need to fit in, just now they'll be number one suspects. So the party's really supposed to be a friendly get together and an opportunity for them to make friends. Brenna genuinely likes Alexis and wants to be friends with her and knowing Uriah is Alexis' whitelighter she'd rather spare her the heartache she'll sure get when and if she falls in love with him. It's agains the rules for Whitelighters and mortals to have a relationship so it would just be a waste of time for both Uriah and Alexis. Mhh, I love Twilight but I wouldn't compare Uriah and Brenna to Edward and Alice, particularly because they can't stand each other, whereas Alice and Edward had such awesome brother/sister chemistry. Appearances can be really deceiving. Any similarities between the duos was purely unintentional Thanks for reading! |

And even if she is, it doesn't mean she can't totally do the horizontal bop with old Uriah, right? RIGHT??? Lol!!!

Chapter Six is up. Focuses on Jared and Arianna and in the final scene I used the stream of consciousness for their dialogue, so if you don't get it you're excused, but Arianna's words are in italics. This whole chapter was just to show things from Jared's end; his identity crisis, confusion and his symbolic disintergration as he transitions to being a 'vampire'
This was more of an experimental chapter. I played around with different camera angles, pushed a few language boundaries and exposed a bit of flesh.
