Gabby's attitude keeps getting worse and worse. Abby really needs to reel her in and put those rules and boundaries in place ASAP.
Loved her room though. Very pink and girly. Maybe Abby can suggest to Chris that a change of scenery in Gabby's room is in order. She's obviously not happy with her surroundings. |

part of me thinks gabby is the way she is because she needs some maternal care and another part of me thinks she needs a good old fashioned butt whoopin! lol kids just dont talk back to adults like that and she's only 8. i guess she would think im a baby because i think her room is super cute  |

Man, I'm SO behind! Ch 5:
I suspect the check was made out to Det.Hartman? His pay for looking over this secret matter for them, maybe for protecting Abby?
I don't know what she'll do, but I'd be all over that stuff, trying to find out WTH is going on!
Ch 6:
She got thru the "lovely" dinner with Gabby, and Hartman's still not home...now she'll have some "alone" time with that box!
I'm glad she finally laid down some rules for that little brat. I wouldn't be surprised to find that, down the road, Gabby actually likes someone to care enough to correct her. WAAAAAYYY down the road. Really, really far down the road.

Val (I am going to call you Val because it is just easier to write  ): Abby is definetely laying down the law, starting with a heart to heart with Hartman (try saying that five times fast ). Her room is very girly and perhaps a change in scenery would do Gabby some good...glad to see you were on the same level there as I was! She probably needs both! If I ever acted like that at her age...I wouldn't be sitting her now talking to you all :DLOL - she probably would, and she probably would tell you that as well Chapter 5
The check was for Abby, sort of a safety net they had stashed away where no one but Abby could get their hands on. I think it's safe to say they were preparing for the worst case scenario. While sad it was very smart of them.
Chapter 6
She is still on the fence as whether or not to read these letters. She has a very bad feeling about them she can't seem to shake...her curiosity just might get the better of her, despite her parents warnings.
I think its fair to say that Gabby will need some time (a lot of time) to warm up to Abby. And yes she is desperately calling out for some guidance in her life, and since she doesn't know how to express it, she does it in the wrong way.

For a second there while Gabby looked around the room, I held my breath thinking she'll turn around and go crazy on Abby. I'm so thrilled she liked the way her room turned out. Aw, Abby is such a good person |

I love the room - it's SO sweet! That furniture set is just right!
I'm so happy she liked it! I was afraid she'd react badly - but I think this might be a small bond begining between these two now. (and I'm sure Hartman will be very happy to see that!)

Val:I think Abby's breathing stopped too, as she was expecting the same as you. But when Gabby didn't react as she normally would, Abby didn't know how to take it.
After seeing that glimmer of a smile on Gabby's face though, she knew she was beginning to get through to her.
Jilly:I think we all expected her to react badly, but even being as sour as Gabby is, deep down there is a normal little eight year old girl in there, who isn't such a bad kid after all.

They've been sneaking kisses, they finally go all the way, and then WHAM! she slams those papers at him?
After with their new relationship, I wonder if he'll finally tell her the truth?

Whoa, whoa, whoa! From hot and sensual, to hotheaded. What are you doing to us? What's in those letters to make Abby so angry with Hartman. For his sake, he'd better come clean, she doesn't look like she'll take any more half truths from him.

Jilly: Well things can't always be rainbows and butterflies all the time...I am sure had she opened these letters before that night...that night would never have happened.
He really has no choice but to tell her now...She's already read the letters and it explained enough...I am sure she will want to know the rest....whether she is ready for it or not! Val: She isn't going to take anymore half truths from him...you're right. But I don't think she has prepared herself to open this can of worms...she went against her parents last wishes by opening the letters, and now she will have even more to deal with when she gets her explanation from Hartman.
They have grown a very strong connection in very little time...but with these new revelations...it will test just how strong the connection really is. Sweet: Awww sorry! Had to end it somewhere or the chapter would have been extremely long...and I don't like to give readers too much to read. Thanks for reading and for your comments everyone. I will try to get this updated tomorrow! |

Hmmm, so now we know what happened. Abby has every right to be upset, angry, down right pissed off but at the same time, criminals can be very convincing sometimes. If they had law enforcement fooled, then it was something that can't be helped. Hartman could have called it in but that situation could have easily turned and everyone would have ended up dead.
AH! Her feelings came out through anger! Damn! At least he knows now!
Hopefully Abby won't stay mad for long and Hartman will be able to fix this. I really like the idea of these two plus Gabby. |
