LOL my french teacher had some of her friends from Canada come over and we were all bundled up, like in two jackets and things, it was at least 40 of 50 degrees, and those women were in the sea! They were like building sandcastles and laughing at us.

Snow is pretty to look at. I like sitting inside watching it fall, but it's a pain to get around in.

Ugh I hear ya. Poor Pixx. I grew up with my dad occasionally speaking Quebec French (his ancestry), which is slightly different from Acadian and New Brunswick. And a LOT different from France. Honestly, I think the best way to learn ANY language (I've learned a few) is not in a classroom. I mean WTF is a subjunctive, yanno? Conversational is the best way; label everything in your room in French. Also, once you learn French, you'll very likely prefer it in some cases... it's so much easier to express yourself in French. There are words and phrases in that language that don't really even exist in English. I found it liberating. ...of course, I'm re-learning it because I lapsed on it for several years... lol. The French from France confuse me, it's like they just can't get what they want to say into english! People from England who speak French that they learned via someone from France have the same problem...I'm telling you the best french teacher I ever had was from Canada.

haha I speakk quebec french (naturally, because I'm from montreal hehe and people who learned france french don't understand us) gosh you people all have good french teachers and we are stuck with the bad ones here!!! In school we have to study french for 13 years and I had only TWO good teachers. 2 in 13 years ... that makes 10 bad ones! (because I got the same one twice, a good one hehe)

Huh. Well, I hate snow. Just going to say that now, but I've never hated french. I've always done fairly well, but I lived in a small Northern Ontario town and until I was six I only spoke Franglais. Which is like Quebecois only dirtier and mixed with english. So when I moved to Southern Ontario I didn't know proper english OR proper french. lol. So that was hard, but once I figured out the whole, proper english thing, I did well in french 'cause I still knew it and I had a good accent 12 years of french and I just coasted by with decent grades and no effort. So it was my favorite subject. And again, snow must die. Forever. Or stop being cold, and wet, and making it so that the bottom of your jeans get wet, and then it climbs up your legs making YOU cold and wet.

Dirty brown snow especially. Soft, white, fluffy flakes do not last long in the city.
