Anybody read any good books lately. I know just about all of us like to read. How about sharing the names of some of your favorite books, and maybe a little info about it. Genre doesn't matter. I'm always looking for a good book to dive into while I'm relaxing.

I recently finished Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I guess everyone already knows what it's about I really liked Deception Point too. It's about a discovery Nasa made. Big conspiration around that. Soon I'll restart to read the serie The Adventures of Jack Aubrey by Patrick O'Brian. The action takes places during the war between france and England. The movie Master and Commander was based on 2 of those books. And of course let's not forget my favorite author : John Saul. My favorite book is The Blackstone Chronicles. Not really because it's the best but because it's the one that made me discover John Saul. I like mystery novels too : I read every Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories. They are good (best is The Hound of the Baskervilles) and Agatha Christie (favorite one is Easy Murder) Anyway hope it gave you some ideas If you care to share some books you like I'm always looking for something new

Hmm...
I can't remember what I'm reading right now... very tired. I do like the Uglies Books (What do I call them? They are supposed to be a trilogy, but there is four!)
Okay, I'm too tired to try to remember any more names...

I haven't read any books lately, but some of my favorites are The Earth's Children Series by Jean M. Auel. She's supposed to be coming out with a new one for the past few years, but it's taking forever. Everything by Stephen King and Dean Koontz is good enough for me. My mom gave me Duma Key for Christmas and I've just begun to read it, although I'm not wrapped up in it yet because I have tons of other stuff going on. Once I start, I'll probably do nothing else until it's done...lol. There are more, but I'll get to those later for fear of writing a novel right here about novels!

I love 'The Earth's Children' Wasn't the last one years and years ago? I used to get those from the libary like 15 years ago! Then I stoped looking as no more seemed to be coming.
I havn't really read a book for ages. The last book I read was just an old penny dreadful while in hospital as I wanted something very light.

Yea I think the last one came out in 2004 or something because I bought it. She's pretty old now I'm thinking, but I hope she comes out with another because things are sort of left up in the air with Ayla and Jondular. Crissy even read the books and got into them and is anxiously awaiting the next sequel too.

Wierd, but when I started this thread I couldn't think of a single book.
Thanx for the suggestions everyone, I'm, definately going to check out agatha christie, I've been eyeballing her books for years. Here are a few of mine. Tuck everlasting, by Natalie Babbitt-originally meant to be a childrens book, but honestly a great book, the Tucks are blesses or cursed with eternal life, and though they try to hide the secret, it is accidentaqlly discovered by 11 yeaqr old Winifred Foster (Disney made a movie about it, but it sucked-they changed it so much til it was nothing like the book). Secret Love (I'm not a romantic sap) this book is about 2 friends who've grown apart, and one finds friendship in long time friend and opponent, eventually gifts begin to arrive and know one knows who they're from-it's hard to describe this one without giving it away. The way you make me feel is another good one-a young woman tries to piece together clues about her best friends disappearance (after losing her memory) even though doing so could be the death of her. By Francine Craft.

I remember Tuck Everlasting! The book was way better.
I like the Eragon series. I'm a sucker for sci-fi, and any fiction for that matter.

I agree Sarie!!! There is an earlier movie of Tuck everlasting that fits closer to the book than the Disney movie. It's very old though and you probably won't ever see it, but it's decent. did you know the author of Tuck Everlasting doesn't like the Disney movie either?
Love Comes softly is a great book also, I'm trying to finish reading the series. I've pretty much watched all of the movies in the series. When I'm finished I want to read A Walk to Remember by Nicolas Sparks (I think). The movie is wonderful!!!

I haven't heard of any of those. I really should get to reading my book I started though instead of sitting here at this computer so much.

Anyone heard of "a Break With Charity"? I'm reading it for school, and it's okay. Not my favorite but well... interesting.

Did anyone read Terrier by Tamera Pierce?
The main character is Beka who hears the souls of dead people in pigeons. She joins the police force of her country and they're called dogs, Terrier is the beginners level after Puppies which is the training level. Beka finds herself caught in two different cases.
It's cool. The other part is out but I haven't gotten a hold of it yet.
