Split Pea Soup
1 package of Dried Split Peas, rinsed and sorted. 1 Ham Shank 1 onion finely diced 2 stalks of celery finely diced 2 carrots finely diced *I used my food processor to chop the veggies 4 to 5 cups of Chicken stock 1 dried bay leaf 2 tsp dried tyhme
Put it all in the crock pot and cook on high for approx 6 hours. If you do use the shank, pull the meat off the bone.

Banana Bread 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 2 eggs 1 cup sugar 4 very ripe bananas 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 vegetable oil 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. In a large bowl cream together eggs and sugar. Stir in mashed bananas, nuts, vanilla, oil and cinnamon. Stir in flour mixture a third at a time, until just combined. Divide batter into two loaf pans. Bake for about an hour.

Bananna bread and Cinnamon bread is awesome....
I have a recipe that my mom discovered a few nights ago while cooking supper for the people she babysits for:
1 package of slow cooker mild BBQ powder (you know those clubhouse ones or something like that) 1 cup of ketchup 3lb of ribs (about)
Mix the powder in with the ketchup, pour into ribs (in slowcooker) mix around with your hands to get the sauce mixed in nicely, and let it sit in the fridge over night.
Next morning, put the ceramic dish back into the slow cooker and set on low, cook for 8h. Drain the grease from the ribs and pour a little bit over top, mix it all in.
Presto, good, yummy, juicy ribs. Babybacks work best.
