Yeah, the chicken in a can does't sound good at all to me either... Eww...
I've never seen it here, maybe because I'm not one for canned foods. I LOVE chicken salad sandwiches though... SO much, mayo, salt, pepper, chicken pieces from left overs on bread.

Eww, I hate left-over chicken! It's always so cold and slimy! Even when you heat it up! *raises one corner of lip*

Yawl ain't right. lmao.
Peanut Butter Fudge. 1/2 stick of butter 2/3's of a can of evaporated milk 2 c sugar 1-2 handfuls of marshmallows 1 bag of peanut butter chips dash of vanilla and a dash of salt
In a medium- large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, add the milk, get it to a simmer. Add the sugar, stirring constantly from here on out. Once it is at a rolling boil, turn the heat down just a bit (about 4 mins) and add the marshmallows. Keep stirring, melting the marshmallows into the mix. With the heat on low-med, stir and keep cooking for another 4 mins. If you get brown flecks, don't panic, just turn down the heat and keep stirring. Remove from heat, add vanilla and pb chips and blend thoroughly. Add a dash of salt, too. Pour into a 9x9" square pan that has been lined with wax paper. Put it in the fridge for an hour or so, and then either take it out or leave it in. DAMN good stuff. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Marinara Sauce at least 1 head of garlic, peeled and cut in 1/2 2 onions, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped (optional) 2 cans of tomato sauce (Shaw's store brand is best, in my opinion) herbs, 2 tsp each: basil, Italian seasoning, thyme- whatever else you want. Hot pepper seeds are great, but I'd only do 1/2 tsp, and then test it. Dash of salt and pepper.
Cook the onions and garlic in olive oil till onions are translucent. Add tomato sauce; bring to a boil over med- high heat, stirring. Once you get it bubbling good, turn the heat down to really low (SIM, lol) and add the seasonings and green peppers (optional). Stir really good. Let it simmer on low for several hours. You could transfer it to the crock pot at this point and let it simmer all day on low. BEST served over spaghetti or rotini with sweet or spicy sausge, chopped, thrown on top of the sauce. ::rolls eyes back just thinking of it:: ---------------------------------------------------------- THE best pancakes- and you cannot screw these up. I have worked with (and on) this recipe for years.
1/2 stick of butter 2 c (1 pint) of milk 1 egg 3/4 cup (+/-) of flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt
In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add the milk, and just barely warm it. Don't let it cook! In a little bowl, beat the egg; temper the egg with the milk, then add the egg to the milk. Mix really well. In a bowl, place the dry ingredients and toss them around a bit to mix them well. Add the dry ingredients, and mix it with a whisk. I mix it till it's smooth and my pancakes come out great. Add a little more flour if you like them a bit thicker.
Heat griddle to 400*. You don't need to grease it if you're using a teflon surface. Drop by 3 tablespoonsful (or ladle, if you're careful) a few inches apart. When the tops get all bubbly and the bubbles pop, flip them over, and cook till they're done- maybe 30 seconds.

I make this really simple, but yummy breakfast burrito.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 small clove of garlic 1 medium onion 1 russet potato 1lb Jimmy Dean bulk Sausage 6 eggs Salt and Pepper to taste.
In a nonstick skillet heat oil with whole garlic clove. Chop onion into thin half moons. Peel and chopa Potato into half moons. When oil is hot add potato and onion. Coat with oil, salt and pepper, and then leave them alone until potato starts to get some nice color to them. Then flip potato over.
When potato is starting to get tender, push to outside of pan creating a well in the middle of the pan. Add sausage, salt and pepper, and brown.
when sausage browns, remove garlic clove and mix together sausage with the potato and onion mixture.
Push to outside of pan again.
Add 6 eggs, beaten, into middle and cook.
When Egg starts to scramble mix with rest and finish cooking.
Serve in tortilla with shredded cheese and salsa.
I have also added a jalapeƱo to the mix when I add the onion (for those who like it a bit spicy
