I need peace for Ivan!  God I hate being so emotional! I can feel and even imagine what he is thinking and it's no pretty picnic! I just want to wrap my arms around him, stroke his hair, and ease his pain! That is a tough position for Alexis to be in and I just LOVE how Uriah was smiling while she was engaging in the mini spat with Jared and Ariana! I can't explain it but I have dislike for Ariana myself. I can't help but wonder what Riley will be like if she does come back. I mean, she was dead for 11 months. Will she remember her death? Will she still feel like he shouldn't have brought her back? Val, I've never been so sucked in before! I love this. Oh and thanks, no have a new appreciation for Matthew and enjoy his appearances! |

He gets her and what she's going through, but she doesn't seem to get him, and that he's changed. He's no longer human, and his clan will take first priority, just like Uriah takes first priority with her. They'll both take care of their own first, and that's what they've both just discovered right now, and they're still trying to understand the implications. Those pics of Uriah and Alexis pissed me off. I kept giving Uriah the neutral faceoverlay and he kept smiling, it's like he knew his feisty angel was fighting his battle or something. I swear those sims have their own minds sometimes   WHOA! So many questions about Riley, but my lips are  Thank you. I'm glad you still love it, even after so many months. Really though, when we, the naturally emotional beings, go through something such as that, we usually need an outlet and that always seems to come best when it's in the form of a person. Sad thing about it is, when that person becomes our shoulder, we end up overcoming the previous emotions but fall for that individual. *wink wink, hint hint* lol j/k. Honestly, I don't how I'd ease his pain, I just want to! Seeing him like that is heartbreaking. Yes! I hate that I've begun to look at Matt like that. He is supposed to be the overprotective father that get's on my nerves and not the handsome stern whitelighter I see him as. |

I was so happy, especially after my computer broke, to see an update of this!
I am very interested in this Rogue Whitelighter. That should be an interesting meeting!
I was kind of sad seeing Jared and Alexis relationship come unraveled a bit there. Great work Val! |

As sad as the situation was, I loved seeing Alexs stand with Uriah. It was pretty crappy of Jared and the others to come down on Uriah like they did - especially when he was up front about it being only a chance. Even when they saw how much that first try hurt him, they had no concern for him and made him try again.
I think ALexis learned a lot about the "new" Jared, and what he truly is now. His loyalties are different, are now so are hers. It was a hard lesson, but it needed to happen.
Ivan...his face is so filled with heartbreak; I just ache for him. I hate to hope, but I really do hope that this Rogue can help somehow. If not bring her back, maybe find her peace. Props to Matthew for that hook up!
And that beautiful Coldplay song - "Fix You" It couldn't be more perfect and touching.
Bravo, Val.

 ~ What? everybody now is just seeing Matthews worth? ~ Poor Ivan he has that sad angelic face,you just want to reach out & hug him!Hopefully the Whitelighter can help heal Riley,to be whole again,I know they can,after all Alexis was brought back after being dead! ~ Jared realized in that small confrontation,that he & Alexis are worlds apart now,him a Vampire & her a Whitelighter/Witch!He seemed very sad in that instant on realizing that they could never be the people that HE wants them to be,that they may even have damaged their friendship because of their very obvious differences! ~ Loved it Val,you gave us,some hope!(",)

Holley, another big hug your way. I hope the PC problem gets sorted out soon. It will be lonely without you at DDs. You'll see her in the next update. I hope the meeting is interesting for you. I think it will be, regardless of the outcome. It is sad seeing them fight, but they both needed to realize that as much as they love each other, and want to remain close, they are both different people now. Thank you, and thanks for squeezing in some time to read this, with everything going on with you  Jill, I think you and Uriah both. Did you see the smirk on his face. LOL.
On a serious note, you're right, I was glad too when she stood firmly by him, and it wasn't just the fact that they're twin flames. Uriah was upfront from the start, and she felt bad because she made the meeting possible, and she knew Uriah's misgivings from the start and he agreed to help because of her.
She did learn a few lessons in this update. They've both changed. They are not the same people they were less than four months ago. As much as they love each other, they are still on different sides, and their differences will be a source of friction. Hopefully they'll learn how to deal with conflict and not allow it to ruin their close bond.
The rogue can help, and will help. But it just might not be kind of help Ivan wants. Yeah, Matthew came through in this one, and again, he, too, did it for Alexis. He sensed how important helping Riley is to her. If it wasn't for Alexis he probably would have told everyone to suck it up.

- Whitelighters can heal people they're supposed to heal. If they could heal everyone, I suppose there wouldn't be death and pain, and disease, right?
-Both Jared and Alexis realized this. It was hard lesson to learn, but it needed to happen. True, in that moment, Jared saw they're truly not right for each other, as much as they love each other, they're too different now.
-Only to squash it in the next update. *hides under a chair*

That was so sad! *Hugs Ivan*
Him crying nearly brought me to tears! (so soft!) You can tell through this chapter alone how much he loved her! If you hadn't realized it before, it is very clear now! To bypass the smell of her rotting flesh to embraced her and hold her until she died for a second time is just...WOW!
I love that she spoke to all of them before she died and made Ivan promise to live and love again. Sad to see her go but happy she no longer suffers!
Alexis made me proud! There is only but so much one can take when it comes to secrets and nipping it in the bud now saves them time in the future.
Brenna looked beautiful! Her style is very eye catching! Each chapter I'm drawn to her clothes, shoes, and purses!
This wasn't dark or long. Very beautiful and worth reading a second time! |

Maybe their time apart will make Uriah see how bad he fucked up by keeping so much from her.
His determination to get her back makes me hopeful.
OMG! I cried so hard for Ivan there at the end. It was beautifully done Val. He might still hurt, but he knows it was the right thing to do and that she is finally at peace. Love it! |

Qui, I can imagine. It was sad for me to write it I'm glad it didn't make you cry. He did love her very much, and now he has to pick up the pieces. But at least he's found closure. A lot of guilt he's been carrying from her first death has been cleared some. Now he just needs to forgive himself, as Riley said. They all needed the closure, plus she knows each of their personalities and what they bring to the table. Each of them has a special something that will help Ivan overcome his loss. True, at least she's at peace now. Alexis makes me proud to with every update. Uriah didn't expect that one, especially when she was acting okay the whole time they were with the vampires, so seeing her change in attitude was a shock to him. Brenna? Really? LOL. She's one character I don't bother with, maybe because her appearances are so few. Thank you, from her. Thanks, and thanks for reading. Holley, That's exactly what Alexis is hoping for, that he'll see his mistakes, and hopefully learn from them. He won't let her go so easily. Sure he'll give her time to cool off, but he'll be back to woo her with his angel dust. LOL. Aw, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry Thank you, the end of this chapter was hard to write, it made me sad, and made me cry too, for the same reasons as you, and others too. It's the end of a storyline, and I always feel oddly empty when that happens, and I have to let characters go. But coming back to Ivan, he will hurt for a while, but he's found closure and Riley's found peace. Thanks for reading. |

SO glad Alexis stood up to Uriah! She loves him, but she's laid it out for him, and her remark about half in/half out was right on the money. She's grown up so much, and Uriah needs to realize she's not that same little girl he used to watch over. She's on her way to be a warrior, and he needs to treat her that way. You go, girl! (way to back a sister up, Brenna!)
Ivan...that was SO touching. An absolutely perfect ending for them. I thought it would be harder with her so "present", and closer to her old self than she'd been since coming back, but it turned out because of that, she was able to help everyone, especially Ivan, say goodbye.
So beautifully done.

Jill, Uriah wasn't expecting that reaction . He knew she was pissed off, but he didn't expect her to send him away. She has grown up a lot, and hopefully their "day" apart will give her time to cool off and Uriah will come to his senses. Alexis didn't give Brenna much of a choice, but if it was up to Brenna, she would not have gotten involved. Thanks, that scene with Ivan, I'd been circling it for months, not sure how to wrap up their storyline, and as much as I'm sad to see them come to an end, a part of me is glad they've both found peace in the end.
