 You did great with the recap! You answered every question possible and even more. You gave us good reason why Dru prefers to be alone and now I understand. Now.... on to the good stuff! GOD I want to smite Rolene myself! That...chick just had to say that to Alexis! She just had to mention that she'd slept with Uriah! Seriously, Uriah can't keep waiting for the "right time" with everything because he is allowing others to tell her the things HE should be telling her and that's going to drive a wedge between them. THE FACT that she has been trying to give him the good good and he didn't take it but this...woman is making it clear that she has had it, is going to be an issue for Alexis. An issue that she won't be able to quickly overcome.
The prediction about Ivan being sad broke my heart!
I love how Dru and Alexis instantly love each other! I just want to group hug them! lol
Raven, whew...bitter and holding a grudge is never good! I hope she can learn to accept Dru and understand that with Dru, she isn't a dark witch by choice.
Oh and I love how Raven told Alexis everything but failed to ask her about "denim jacket guy" who has stolen her heart through a painting! lol
LOVED IT! worth the few hour wait! Now I can't wait for Raven to come face to face with "denim jacket guy"! That should be very interesting!

Qui, the ice queen knows she's lost, but she can't help being bitter. But you're so right about Alexis questioning everything, right now she feels like something's wrong with her, and she's not good enough for him that's why he keeps rejecting her. He has a lot of explaining to do. And now Dru has beat him to eat. He's in a world of trouble now, and he knows it since he can read her thoughts. Thank you. I'm glad it made sense for you, and cleared up questions you may have had. Raven and Drucilla are both clued up on magic since they were raised within the magical circle. Alexis has a lot of catching up to do. Dru and Raven have a long way to go, and I'm not sure if you saw it, but one of the paintings she's done is of the three of them, looking very close and happy, so if her predictions are true, then the painting is a sign of good things to come. So far none of her predictions have been wrong. And the denim jacket guy...there'll be talks about him  I didn't want to get into relationship talk since this was their first meeting, it would have seemed awkward that they barely know each other and they just jump into talks about boys. But there will be boy talks, and sleepover parties, and lots of girly stuff. After the next few chapters they all head back to Lake Witchyka, back to mundane classes and college crushes, before Alexis gears up for the war... Dru would love nothing more than to move in with Alexis and spend time with her, she longs for a family, somewhere she can belong to, but she knows evil will always follow her, remember what happened in the gypsy camp ground... Because of me? You can't credit me for the greatness of this story! I am just an obsessed fan that won't let you quit on it! The boy talks will be great! I can't wait! Raven could have slid that in there really smooth like. Dru was talking about the twin-flame connection and Raven could have jumped in "Speaking of, denim jacket guy...that's your friend huh?" and left it at that with a cute eyebrow wiggle! lol I would have done that! In my case it would have been "Ivan is going to be sad for a very long time? I can fix that!" Aww Alexis! I understand Uriah's wanting to wait but at the same time, she need confirmation. He was reluctant to be with her in the first place. He worries and asks questions when she loves aloud and takes action. Now she wants to "love" him and he is brushing her off for good reason. Looking back at all of that, she is going to question if he really wants to be with her or feels like he has to be because he is assigned to her and they are twin-flames. Uriah needs to come up with something fast or he risks losing her to a misunderstanding. Perhaps a innocent candle light dinner where he explains everything, including why he wasn't to wait to make love? I saw the painting, Halloween party? I smiled! I love the idea of them being close. All of them are lacking that family atmosphere so it would be nice to see them get it. Long  |

I hope the family reunion goes well for all of them. they are all so alone and could use each others strengths.

True, they are so different, yet so alike in so many ways. When it comes to their relationship Uriah's all logic, but when it comes to Alexis he's all emotional. And she's emotional all the way.
Def, it's bound to cause doubts and friction in their relationship, and if he's not careful he'll drive her away.
Perhaps...I like the sound of a candlelight dinner. I could use one of those myself.

Chapter 42: I didn't think that was too long. You beat yourself up needlessly Val! it was great! I hope Uriah can help Riley. freaking Rolene! She had to stir crap up. Luckily Alexis understood that it was BEFORE she met Uriah. But then the man fucks up and doesn't tell her what "twin flame" is, even when she asks directly. it's good the cousins have so much in common. I don't blame Raven for being skeptical, but I am willing to bet they all come together when needed. You're right this did answer a lot of questions about Alexis past and how things got to be how they are. it was all very interesting and insightful. It makes me nervous that Raven said "...he’ll be sad for a very long time. But that woman in the painting, I don’t see her in his future." Great Job Val! |

Holley, thanks I get nervous about chapters with more than 10 screens. That's just crazy me. The next update should answer that. LOL @ "freaking Rolene!", she did, but Uriah's to blame for a large part of it. I can understand why he was reluctant to discuss the twin-blame business, they were in the middle of a reunion, and it was the right place or time to discuss it, but he should have told her much sooner, and now he has bigger issues to worry about. It will take time, but they'll eventually realize blood is certainly much thicker. I'm glad you found it interesting and insightful. Thank you. Coming from a witch who can see the future it is ominous, so I would be nervous too. Thank you for your continued support always Qui, CHICKEN |

Absolutely wonderful! The recap was wonderful - to have all that info in once place made everything fit together perfectly! Very well done! *applauds It should've been Uriah that told of the Twin Flame, but I'm just glad she knows now. Men. Honestly. What goes on their heads? Loved that she stood up to Roe, even if Roe got that one dig in, Alexis threw it right back in her face. Past is past - it's all about the Twin Flame, so SUCK it, Roe! Lol! How awesome that the cousins are now joined. I think it will make a HUGE difference in the upcoming battle; heven if all their issues aren't sorted, it was a start and a connection was made. Loved the way you gave the recap thru those paintings - SO brilliant! And I'm with Qui - I thought Raven might've filed away that info about his name & him being a vamp based on Alexis' comments when she saw them. And Uriah helping with Reilly...I'm afraid the only "help" he might give is to put her back to rest. I can't wait to see what he can do, if anything! Poor Ivan. He has a long road ahead of him, however this goes! Awesome, awesome storytelling, Val! |
