So much intrigue in this, I love the twins and their interesting presence, they both seem to get very different reactions from Alexis. And she is totally going to fall for Uriah, whatever Brenna tries to do about it. Looking forward to seeing their party, too!

And the vampires at the start - who have they turned? what are they going to do about it? So many questions and such good writing! Great job, Val.

Alexis fall for Uriah? Mhhh, we'll see. I think right now she's more fascinated with Uriah than anything else. The fact that she met him in her dream is a huge source of wonder for her. She can't help feeling close to him somehow, like they have a shared connection. I think she's suspecting that he knows that she knows that they met in her dream but of course the fact that it sounds so far-fetched she's too afraid to broach the subject with him, in case she sounds crazy. I think Alexis' biggest fear is being declared crazy, something her father has hinted upon but has never come right out and said it.

Brenna on the other hand seems to have Alexis' best interests at heart but like you said, whether Alexis will listen remains to be seen.

I love Brenna's character, (the little that I've shown of her) and well I'm partial to Uriah so I'll have to agree with you on the twins and their presence.


The question of who Arianna has turned is sort of hinted on in Chapter Four and on my siggie of course ;D

Val, great chapter! Very intense. I didn't understand any of the beginning, am I suppose to know who they are? Sorry if I have forgotten. I think I need a list of who is who. Still was very interesting. ..ok reading other comments, those are vampires? Here I was thinking Greek gods or something. OK so that's what turned means. OK that makes some more sense.

Yeah, Jo Arianna was introduced in Chapter Four as a thought when Alexis and her friends are talking abt Nancy's death. Ivan and Ralph were introduced at the beginning of that chapter and when Nancy was killed someone close to Alexis disappeared soon after and that's who the vamps are talking abt in the first bit. In chapter four Ivan and Ralph's scene ended with the revelation that the search for Riley's killer (Riley's Ivan's human girlfriend) is leading them to Lake Witchyka since Arianna has "tracked" him to there.

Impulsively Arianna killed Nancy but Jared walked in on her and she attacked him too. It's his "tragic" blue eyes she talks about and it's him who left her "impotent" and unable to finish the job of killing him off.

Now, since all three are "old vampires"they can control their urges and feed when they absolutely have to and again they don't hunt close to home. But since the newly turned vamp is a local, and he can't control himself yet, they can't set him loose on the locals and so the responsibility of caring for him until he's able to live amongst humans lies on Arianna since it was her mistake and so that's why in the end Ivan tells her she and "him" meaning the new vamp, can't stay there.Here's a list of characters : fallen-valpre1983.blogspot.com/p/characters.html

I guess that's what I get for taking a hiatus I come back and all your memories of the Fallen ones are fuzzy eh

I think the issue of their agendas will only be cleared in the next few chapters. More specifically Uriah and Brenna's agenda. The vampires are just a small, side storyline, with little impact to the overall story. Unless of course Jared's character is expanded on a bit more. I've always wanted to write abt vamps but was too afraid to go there, even now still. But when I saw Arianna and Ivan, I couldn't resist adding them to the storyline. Basically their storline's supposed to show just how a small act, irrelevant or minute at the time of occurance, can reach far and wide and have far reaching consequences for total strangers.

I'm glad you're getting to know the characters a bit more. I still don't know how to develop characters. That's something I have to learn And whatever you know about them must be just accidental on my part or saying a little too much too without realising it. I don't set out to make their personalities a certain way. But if what you've learned about them so far makes sense then I must be doing something right I guess

If you guys feel I should explain a bit more I will ;D At times I forget I know up in my head where the story's headed and how I want it to end but it may be vague for the reader. So if you think I'm holding out on you or I should improve on something please let me know. I really want to be good

Oh you musn't mind me forgetting Val, I have a brain condition that effects my memory. (Seriously and not joking it's called Periventricular Heterotopia or as I like to call it 'Wheelbarrow' ) Also I read such a lot of stories I often get things mixed up. I always appreciate a short re-cap to most stories. Thankyou fo the explanation.
