Four weeks it is, then! Well, since this IS TS3, I think we need to follow TS3 legacy rules, so I googled it and found some rules on the bbs. I'll post the link into the first post.  |

Took awhile with karima help to figure out the hair. Hopefully it's all installed and it will let me make him in CAS. he should come over with traits and LTW? because CAS crashes on me so I can't fiddle in there for very long at all.

I haven't been able to start yet, my inlaws arrived for a surprise visit!

If these files have incorrect or corrupted data, it may prevent your game from loading. The game will regenerate fresh copies of these files each time it loads, so deleting them is perfectly safe, and it's normal for them to reappear. ~The Manual Way~ Do the first and then, test. If that doesn't work, carry on with the second, and then test, and so on. >>Cache Files<< •To delete your cache files, navigate to The Sims 3 in DOCUMENTS folder. Inside, will be a number of cache files. •Delete any or all of these files you have. If you have installed remove CAS parts that appear in Create-A-Sim CasPartCache.package _____________________________________ New objects that would appear in Buy/Build mode compositorCache.package _____________________________________ Mods or Hacks scriptCache.package _____________________________________ New Sims, default skins simCompositorCache.package _____________________________________ ~ This is from MTS,one of,my life savers,in times of panic!  ~ Your hair should show after this, I just install the 'playbot' shirt,& had to do this,for it to show! |

I should get some time today. Dh and Grandma are taking dd to a homeschooling computer day. I'd be going too but ds would be trouble.
So it will just be me and him at home this arvo. Should give me some time to just play. I'll fire it up sometime this morning and check it out though.

Deleting the cache files helped when mine was goofy awhile back.
@karima - isn't that playbot shirt the greatest??? I just got a new one that says, "Stand back, I'm going to try science!" I'll have the best-dressed inventor in a sim3 story.
(Yes, I'm doing an honest to goodness S3 story for Donta - I actually have it written already!)
Between that & finishing Sealgaire, I'll have plenty of time to kill before my RR turn comes around!
@ Sawyer - how funny! I came up with the name & couldn't even remember it! Lol!

Ok, I deleted all the loose cache files I could see. There was four of those. Now what about that folder labled WorldCaches? I'm asuming not for those. Well now I have done that and gotten rid of that doll maybe things will run smoother. Last time I played the jump bug had come back and sometimes it slowed down a lot and played like I was hitting pause every 2 seconds. Kind of put me off playing sims 3 at all. Anyway I am going to load up now and we shall see. |
