I don't know if there's a way to cheat skills, but I really don't like to cheat. I enjoy watching what happens when they get low on energy, etc. In a segment that will be coming up soon, you see something cool Nellie was able to do when she was tired that you may not even notice if you used max motives to keep her energy up. And yes... I said how I got past those in my author's notes..lol. I teleported her past them.

Well I don't like to cheat in normal game play, but when I get a new EP and want to see things, such as when I got Santa to show up, I do. I just cheated my test family the cooking skills and the money to decorate and the time of day too lol.

Omg. I HAVE to get this Axe of Pangu! I saw those boulders at that fishing spot once and went, "Why the hell are those there?" Now I know why. Yeah, that picture you resized of my simself, I cheated his needs and had him meditate, and practice the martial arts dummy 24/7. Took him about a sim week. ;D Maybe this could turn into an LJ story? It's getting REALLY good (despite the cliffhangers. -__- ). And for those of us who don't have ultra high speed, loading the pictures gets hard if you have multiple updates on one page. Anyway, you've inspired me to go do some adventuring of my own, Lol, Au Revior! (spotty French for- Good bye!)

Well Jo... I did cheat money for her in the beginning...lol. But, she has made a whole lot of money on her adventures, so I probably used overkill on that too. The axe IS awesome! ;D I've been thinking about putting this on LJ. After all, I don't really have anything else up on there...lol, but I want to figure out the slide share thing first. I think that setup that Amylu uses for her Psychologists is pretty cool.

I must be in a very small minority that does not like slideshare. I don't mind reading it on slideshare I just don't like commenting on stories on slideshare. So I'll still read it of course, but expect less comment because I either read and forget details such as names or what I wanted to say or I have to stop and write them down.

Amylu embeds her slideshare presentation right onto her LJ page, so I don't see how that's any different from posting your pics in a scroll-down fashion. You can still comment on the page, etc, but you are able to turn the pages like a book.
I always view hers in full screen mode too, which makes it easier to see, etc, although with TS2, the pics look a bit pixelated at that size, but that doesn't bother me too much. I'll bet the TS3 pics would look awesome on there, though.

I'd like to find a good tutorial on slideshare - I think Amylu is converting a lot of us!
I couldn't get thru Landgraab's either. I tried to use the meditation "zeneport" option, but it wouldn't let me put him anywhere that I wanted him to go. That mansion is CRAZY!!! I've been thru a bunch of it, but never enough to finish it. I've had different quests there for different things, but this last one I was doing, where he has to find some papers...I just can't figure out where he needs to go or how to get him there. I'm sure once I get it, it'll be like a "duh" momment and seem really obvious.
I was happy to see another update! I love/hate the cliffhangers...so frustrating...so neccessary...so FUN! I'm still hoping to find out that Ho Sung is waiting to give Nellie some good news!

Thanks Jill, I'm glad you're enjoying it despite the cliff hangers...lol Have you tried the 'sands of understanding' yet that you can buy from the special merchant? Using that supposedly shows where to go. I tried it in that house, but I still couldn't past those traps without cheating. Using the 'teleport here' feature I talked about before will take them anywhere that's available..lol I think I am going to sign up with slideshare and play around with it a bit. Sometimes playing around with something is the best way to learn. ps... I'm afraid that Ho Sung is destined to remain a mystery for a while longer.

*Sigh... I shall wait. You know, I have the sands of understanding (I think I called it the sands of knowledge by mistake in my spam) for all 3 sims in that house, but it never dawned on me to use them, because it's just a stupid house! I figured I'd need it in a really nasty tomb, and have been saving it, but I was so frustrated with that mansion that it didn't even occur to me! Lol!

I was so confused to see my name here, but I'm glad I'm converting people to Slideshare, I'm so used to using Powerpoint after college and university that it's just easier for me, and it gets sorted a lot quicker than the exchange chapters used to. But anyway, this was a great update Tina, that Langraab mansion looks massive and so confusing, good job she did have the escape powder to get out the first time around! I would have been cheating her through too, and it didn't show in the story because she still made her characteristic clumsy mistakes and stuff, so it's enjoyable and exciting. We want Ho Sung though, I want to know what happens! ;D

;D I love slideshare or what ever it's called, as even with a slow Internet ALL the pages show up! & I also enlarge it, to read, otherwise it is quite lost on my screen,OK that said,..................Tina, I loved the update but it is about time you call it, what it is, as it is way more than just pic spam,(same goes for Jilly!) It is a story, & needs a proper title & be presented as such, I loved it all BTW & dear Nellie is an endearing thing, even with her clumsy way of approaching things,I think this deserves more than the tittle of pic-spam! I can not wait for more, but, when you feel up to it Tina! So get better, & thanks for sharing! ~PS~ Sorry I did not reply sooner, but I am really frazzled after spending so much time getting the pics to show, & I love all the stories, but this week has been full of updates!

You know something, Karima? You are so right! This thing is NOT just pic spam anymore, but is more like an actual story. It makes me wonder if I should slow down, organize the previous stuff into story form and post it up in a story-like fashion. Of course that would mean not getting my new updates out until I get the earlier chapters situated.

Ok well you asked for it....
*Note: Not that I don't enjoy reading your slideshare stories, I still will as everyone is going over to them. I just don't like commenting on them.
The difference is I can't highlight and copy any of the text, such as a name or a funny line and paste that into my comment. I have to write down the name, keep whatever it is I have in mind, click on small screen and go over to where I am commenting and add it to the comment. Then go back and click on full screen, back and forth. I know I'm in a minority but I don't like it. Or I sit, read and enjoy and forget half of what I want to say. Or I forget the names or how they are spelt, so I end up getting it back up. Sometimes those sit wirling around for awhile. Then I have to click over to find the name and sometimes some pages don't click they sit wirling again. I guess it's a combo of my poor memory+ whatever stupid internet issues we have+the non copy pastability of it. I also hated whatever fiddling must be needed to get good pictures. When I simply put one up it was distorted. Yours looked beautiful. But that must have been yet another step in getting it up. Also occasionally I've seen text disappear below the page, that is effectively cut off because slide share can't take the larger amounts. Now I'm unlikely to have that problem myself lol, but one of my favorite legacies did have that on a couple of slides.
I know I am not alone in disliking slide share, Fuzzy doesn't like it either. Now if she would make a tutorial for that Java click over I would be so there.

There were hardly any steps involved in getting that up, Jo. I had my chapter in word already, pictures and all. Then I just uploaded it to slideshare... there was pasting codes from photobucket or anything. Then I converted it to a slide show by clicking another button. The last step was clicking a link to post it on LJ... voila! it was DONE! ;D And guess what? I NEVER remember names, etc after I've read a story, no matter where it's posted... lol I don't usually go back and check a lot either, unless there was one comment I wanted to make about something specific. I just usually post my opinion of the story in general and then move on. Oh... here's a tip: If you click on 'view at slideshare', or the link right above the slide show box, it will take you to slideshare where there is a transcript of the text beneath the slide show. Chances are you can highlight and copy that.

Ok that sounds...different. In the tutorial I used you have to put up a picture then put your text under it. Slide one done. Then you click on another put the picture up and the text and so on, one slide at a time. Yours sounds like you are putting a whole heap up at once. Yes, which is what I am going to have to do to. See over on BP it has become customary to leave quite long comments. I know you guys leave short ones and still enjoyed it lotsly. That's this board. But I have to say I love those long BP comments. They make my day. So I like to reciprocate back with long ones myself. But if everyone goes over to slideshare I think I will have to start leaving one line comments more often. Which makes me feel bad. I often apologize for my 'half baked' comments to people over there.
