Hey all! I thought I'd post a few pictures of my first experimental world traveler in World Adventures. I didn't snap as many pics I had thought, though. I guess I got all caught up in the new-ness of it all and just wanted to play a bit..lol But anyway . . .

That's what I though too, Jo, except it isn't nearly as dangerous. The only thing that can actually kill your sim besides the usual things is the mummy's curse and that is curable.

Great pics! I didn't take too many either - I'll post them up too. Be careful if you're trying to get that special axe in China, because I read it may be glitchy. I don't have it (I haven't seen it yet) but I may wait to bring it home until the next patch. Google it & you'll see what I mean.

Thanks Jill! She did turn out rather well after I tweaked her features a bit. Now I wish I had taken the time to set up her traits. She's clumsy and is always breaking things and stumbling over stuff that isn't there.

They have a bunch of new traits that a beneficial to adventurers.

Did your simmie live thru the flames because she soaked in the diving pool first?

I don't know. I think she had been in the pool exploring earlier, but she didn't get singed until after I saw the mummy and told her to leave. I wasn't even looking when it happened..lol. I had gone out and told her to go to the pyramid next door and a popup told me my sim had been badly scorched! I had no clue that could even happen.

I think I love China more than France and Egypt. Val, my simself has a martial arts aspiration so before the triplets came along she and hubby used to frequent China a lot and now she's on skill point 7 or 8 of martial arts but she hasn't competed in any of the martial arts competitions Goes to show that once babies pop, everything else in ones life comes to to a halt


I don't know when she'll go back to China though cos she wants to raise 5 kids to teens and right now she has a wish to have a child and I was thinking, once the triplets are in the child stage then she and hubby can try for the last two ;D

LOL... that is most certainly how it is once you have kids! I'm keeping my adventurer single and childless for quite a while to come, maybe even forever without kids...lol

She's great friends with the general merchant in China. I may have her get romantically involved with him and move him in one day to see if they get to stay longer in China since he's from there. I have more pics to post now, but they'll have to wait until later because I have some errands to run. lol

I thought the same thing with my explorer - I might girlfriend him up with a foreigner, but no marriage or babies. I was surprised the "move in" interaction came so soon - I don't get that with sims that already live in my town! No French girls for him! *cringe at Edith. I'll find him a nice Chinese or Egyptian girl.

I don't know how you get thru these quests without cheating! If I didn't max their motives, they'd never have the time to finish some of these in the 3 days they're given. (I must be picking very long adventures for Bill & Sookie, because the one where Ahkman met Gerard was a really short quick one.) Is there somewhere they give you an idea of how long the quest is before you take it? I've just been taking the first ones offered.

And I must know...Does Nellie have cc hair? It's so pretty!!!

No, that's actually a hair that came with WA, believe it or not! EAxis actually got it right with this one.

As far as the adventures go, it doesn't tell you how long it will be, but it doesn't matter if you don't finish it because it will continue the next time you go. I, personally, don't think it'd be much fun to cheat the motives, etc because it wouldn't be like a realistic experience. I like getting out her little tent and having her sleep and then use the canned shower spray...lol. Also, in some tombs, there are actually beds they sleep in, as you will see in my next set of pic spam.
