You're right about cheaters in my past. I don't dwell on it - I just dumped their sorry cheating butts and moved on! No time for a guy who doesn't want only me! It bugs me because I don't understand it. If you don't want to be with someone anymore...just go! Staying and cheating just wrecks life for all involved.

I don't have a problem with Nellie picking HS, and I can see his situation was not garden variety cheating dog. It's just my personal opinion - I'd send him packing. Nellie's experience was far different than my own. Like I said, I love the story, and will consider it great no matter who she picks.

Now, when are you going to declare the winning team and end all this great debate??? Lol!

;D Yes it totally baffles to me WHY people cheat! if you know you are a person whom is inclined to do so, why be in a relationship?

Single, the only person they hurt is themselves, it is a totally selfish thing to cheat! & no-body benefits from it!

Now here's my two cents worth

Firstly this was by far the best chapter for me. I enjoy Nellie’s escapades and seeing tombs, etc. But this chapter went to the core of the story and addressed so many issues that had been building up from the previous chapters. It was definitely well worth the wait and I can imagine how much of your heart and soul went into portraying each character’s feelings and actions. I think Nellie’s feelings were aptly handled. She reacted like most females would in a crisis but I especially like the way she didn’t really fall apart and feel sorry for herself. She was willing accept her role in the mess that unfolded.

I was sad when I read the parts about Gustav. I knew he was crazy but I just didn’t expect him to blow things so out of proportion but in the end I guess all the feelings of abandonment he’d harbored became too potent to remain hidden and he snapped. I’m glad you wrote him off the way you did. I would have hated it, if you gave him a wishy washy ending. He was deeply troubled and misguided in his feelings for Nellie but his crazy, unpredictable, volatile personality stuck till the end and I think that will definitely make him memorable. I know I’ll certainly remember him. His past is painful and sad and it explains why he turned out the way he did. But it still doesn’t justify his actions, accidentally killing his fiancé and then covering it up is just sick and my God I would hate to think what would have transpired if HS did not show up just in time.

I suspected the mystery caller was Collet, she’s the only one who knew exactly what Gustav’s capable of and she kept bringing up his past transgressions. Now Ho Sung is a difficult customer. I can’t help but be mad at him for the choices he’s made, but he’s only human and made a mistake. Arranged marriages work out for some, and it’s sad Ho Sung had to be forced into a loveless marriage, to a self centered woman no less. I can see why he went MIA after he did the deed with Nellie, but I still maintain my position that he had no business jumping into Nellie’s bed while he was married. The cheating bit I’ll never overlook. But saving Nellie is his saving grace and now Nellie’s confusion is no less than it was when she took on the quest for love assignment.

I thought it was hilarious when Gustav implied Youseff’s you know what is not so wow. I would have loved be a fly on that wall and see what Gustav saw and judge for myself. But then again it may have been Gustav's deranged, delusional wishful thinking that Youseff is not well endowed. I guess only Nelly can tell us, but I get the feeling she doesn't kiss and tell. Or maybe she does, judging by the way she didn't seem to have enough of him

Nice pics BTW. Despite Karima’s warning my niece saw the photo of Gustav bleeding to death and she screamed. She really thought it’s an actual person and he’s hurt. I annoint you the Queen of Photoshop .

I’m mourning the death of my psycho Gustav and I’ll just watch Team HS and Team Y have it out. Now the question is will Team Y be joining me in mourning? I certainly hope so

First off,I have to be a psychology geek. Gustav's childhood trauma and attachment issues were written very, very well, are you sure you weren't studying my degree with me? Im loath to call him psychotic, I think traumatised and fixated would be a start, but it was still creepy! The writing was chilling and the actions were scary, but at no point did I stop reading because it really was written so well.

Poor Nellie, deaths, near deaths, childhood stories from two men, she has it all! Now who's team to be on?! I'm glad Youssef got his moment with Nellie, even if he doesn't recover or if she doesn't go back to him, he did have his moment with her, and that's pretty much all of them that have got close enough to be happy...except Gustav of course.

Ho Sung's past explained a lot and it does put his past actions in a clearer light. He also turned into her knight in shining armour, which redeems his earlier heart-breaking actions too. Damn it Team Ho Sung, you're gaining a member!

This was such a good read and I can see why it's been in your head and had to be written just right, it was great Tina...but of course, with a cliff hanger, you know we're going to keep asking for chapter 21, right?

Hopefully that wasn't too much of a ramble, I was really impressed with this Tina and - chapter 21 soon!!! ;D

Well, all I can say is wow! Thanks so much everyone for your shining compliments! It really makes all the hard work I put into this chapter all the more worth it.

I was REALLY a worried and nervous about the content, especially the 'almost rape' scene, Gustav's past, and some of the pictures...lol. But, I knew what I wanted told in the story and I was determined to write it! I'm SO GLAD you all think it was well-written and you liked it.

Val, I could NOT let Gustav be that messed up without showing what caused him to be that way. At least it may have drawn a bit of sympathy and understanding his way, if not forgiveness. I also know that it's a big no-no to go out of character in a story. Once a bad guy, always a bad guy, unless of course something major happens to make him change his ways. Also, feeling that he had been abandoned by Nellie, even though it was only his mind that they were THAT close, is what pushed him over that edge.

Anyway, I am thrilled that you liked it so much. I was worried you may pop over here and kill me. For the record, Nellie may not kiss and tell, but I do! Let's just say that mother nature was very kind to Youssef!

Amylu, I am always watching shows on TV that deal with medical/mental issues, etc. I love that sort of thing! I sort of tried to make seem like Gustav may have had one of those multi-personal disorders like what happens when children are highly traumatized by having him go from sad to angry, etc out of the blue, plus the use of his 'little boy' voice...lol Also the fact that he didn't remember buying the knives, but just standing there with them afterward.

You are right. This chapter took a LOT out of me! I was like totally drained before it was done.
