Bad news, everyone...I'm hearing the evil glitchy doll is back in a new strain. There may a boy doll as well. I'm researching it, so if anyone hears anything about it, let us know!

A refresher on removing the corrupted files and a program that works for S3, much like Clean Installer did for S2, courtesy of Lynda (Gldkelly) and her site, Happy Simmers:Please check your DC Backups folders for these TWO files, and delete them. They are CORRUPT, and MAY attached themselves to anything you have uploaded anywhere: First...go to: My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/DC Backups In there, SEARCH for these file: 0x038a68fe04da61a6aa65f939d77fbc37.package (the DOLL file that has been going around) 0x6cd59455e4d12667fa7eb50bdda87cec.package (a CAS "naked skin" file) Their recommended fix is "Custard" by Delphy from MTS, the new CI:Once you've cleaned out your DC Backups file, please download this: www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=390235and use it to check EVERY Sims3Pack installer file you have in your computer. The above .package files (or others) could be found in any installer file you have, and it's essential that we all begin checking and cleaning them just as quickly as we can. A new Glitch, I have the latest patch,& it started after I patched??? ~ I have Vampire teeth on my new just made CAS Sims!? ~ This is NOT the CC vampire teeth as they only have single fangs, these are the EA LN fangs as found on vampires!(double teeth top & bottom!) ~PS~ These Sims have no other things like a Vampire,no purple around their stats, they do not thirst or burn in the sun,so it is safe to say they are not Vampires!(there is three in this family, they all have the teeth, all made in CAS by me!I was trying to make a brother(Teen) & Sister(YA) in cas but the stupid relationship editor only gave me 'Child' of, or 'Housemate' of! So I made an elder mother, still no go,(It said the same again!no brother, sister relationship!)I had to make the Teen the son of the YA,to have them as family WTF EA? ?? )

I kind of like that glitch. I hope I have one too since I have loads of vampires to make But yeah since the last update I've noticed my game's stalling quite a bit, and it never used to And oh, I have a problem with sims stuck outside the Grind. The whole town seems to be gathered there! WTF EA!

I know how to fix that it happened to me several times,Sims get stuck in the lifts, & at entrance ways or Doors!you have to remove them manually by resetting them! (it will not fix itself!) Send a playable Sim to the venue were you have stuck Sims, look just inside the doors(the problem is sometimes a rush for the door at closing time & as no-one can move the all wait tapping their foot???) the other fix is take your Sim there & you look in the lifts on each floor,if you find a Sim in a lift then no-one can use it,then you have to un-stuck the Sim,in both cases you need to write the full name of the stuck Sims on a piece of paper, if more than one,it just makes it easier for you! OK,then, bring up the cheat box(Ctrl/Shift & C press all at once!) Now type in testingcheatsenabled true THEN enter, next bring cheat box up & type in resetSim (there first name here) (then last) THEN press enter, the Sim will reset & become unstuck! OK! PM me if you have any further problems I have sorted quite a few for this game! I forgot to mention you have to go into EDIT TOWN to do this!Though I have reset Sims without going into edit town,& save after each one, as they reset, just in case it crashes & you have to do it ALL again! Just a precaution!

I didn't think you had to be in "testingcheats" for "resetSim" to work - I thought you could just do that in the cheat window. I've used it many times while on the lot, so I know it works that way. I don't think I've ever tried from edit town.
I have a lot that I'm using in my story that was built using cheats (elevations, etc) and often my sims will get stuck "between floors" when I send them upstairs or downstairs. The sim disappears, but the plumbbob remains. So when that happens, I have to use that cheat and it sends them back to the front door for me.
I haven't put in that new patch yet. I need to make a new family, but they're vamps, so it won't matter for that.

Yes Jilly,Tina already set that cheat up for you, as a short cut, & I am only telling you all what Tina taught me,with stuck Sims!It is important to use both cheats, & as I said I have used it both ways, in Edit town only the stuck Sims show up,which does make it easier if you are dealing with a large amount of stuck Sims!So both ways work, just if you are doing one or two there is no need to go into edit town, with more it is easier to see them in edit town

I had forty two, & thirty six,& it was a lot easier to sort them in edit town,(if you do it in edit town some times the Sims will be standing at the front or in the foyer of their buildings, near the letterbox, that is OK,those Sims are not stuck, those Sims are the ones you have reset,as they are sent home to their letterbox,OK!) It is a tiresome task, but so far I have only done it twice on a large scale all the others have be one or two!Thank goodness! ~ It will also get rid of your lag in the game, every time my game starts to hickup, I know something is stuck..............yet again!lol!

Yes Jilly,Tina already set that cheat up for you, as a short cut, Nope - no one did anything for S3 for me - I have no shortcut menu. (I wouldn't know how to use one if I did - I never had one for S2, either.) When I want to cheat, like max motives, I still have to type TestingCheatsEnabled true - it's not automatically there for me. It IS possible that I activated the cheat for something else & just forgot I did it, maybe that's why I thought I didn't have to do it for resetSim. (cuz I'd already entered it)

OK,I told you the way I was taught, & I have been doing it the same way since I was taught, I could be wrong(nothing unusual there!lol!)but I have had success doing it the way I said,& I do not know any other way!So I stick to what works!

Hopefully, resetSim will fix Val up. It's definitely a handy cheat/fix for them to have built into the game. A rare thing EA did right! Lol!

I know, right! ~ But as long as it works,I.... personally am glad of that, because EA never gives us a bug/glitch free game!
