That Sims 3 glitch is back!

I've also noticed-somehow, so is that doll. I uninstalled it and manually took out the file. How would this reapear? Unless he came on Deaglan? Apart from that I've only put in a few patterns.

Well I uninstalled the doll which didn't help, so I did that reset sim thing again. Which has fixed it. But...

I have twice now had mum eat three melons while pregnant and we have three boys! Do you think it's the Autamn salad? A glitch? Maybe i should put on the upgrade. I so wanted a girl.

LOL... Jo, I think Melons make boys and apples make girls.

No they don't, that I do know. Apples are for boys and melons for girls.
But I was reading that it isn't apparently guaranteed 100% only about 70% so maybe they just strongly favour boys. I'm going to wait a bit before trying again. They're so poor they only have two cots (cribs) but have two toddlers and a baby. Musical cribs.

Also I think the sims 3 rules said only the first three could be in the heir poll? I have no clue why they would make a rulling like that. Might put that to a vote too.

I alway have success with the fruit thing. Are you waiting until after they're pregnant? I always do it as soon as they start throwing up. I give them 10 of the fruit - I have no idea why I settled on that number, but that's what I use.

I also know that it won't work if you've had a Dr. determine the sex of the baby. Once they say it, it's set in stone.

They said one of the patches was supposed to lessen the chances of the fruit working, but I have them all (except this last one) and nothing changed for me.

Fruit ALWAYS works for me. Actually what that one patch did was to stop fruit cooked in pancakes, etc from determining the sex of a baby. I have no clue why your fruit isn't working, Jo. Maybe you're not eating enough fruit or something

Is it OK for us to use fruit to determine the sex of the RR babies, or are they supposed to be random?

I have no clue actually. It's not mentioned in OUR rules, but I haven't read through the TS3 legacy rules, so I don't know if it's in there or not.

Oh and... there's one thing I know for sure:

When I play, I am NOT going to keep babies very long because I can NOT stand them! They are annoying and boring. I'd rather have a longer toddler stage. Whenever I've had babies in my game, I change them to toddler after about a day of being born...lol

I didn't think the rules mentioned anything about babies being random. For me before eating 3 melons has always been a girl and 3 apples has always been a boy. Twice now she has eaten 3 melons while pregnant and had boys.

Jilly, she is very pregnant when I have her eat the melon. Probably about 5 hours from giving birth. Dr lol! Do you know how poor they are? *dizzy* I'm lucky to afford three melons from the grocery store at this point and they are being wasted.

Tina, you have to play them as babies until you get the age popup thingame, sims 3 legacy rules!

As soon as EA makes TS3 babies more fun and less annoying, I'll do it, but until then.. I refuse! That's why there are always EXCEPTIONS to rules.

Well if we are playing for points, I vote we do a poll, and anyone who does wait for the pop up for all their babies gets 1 legacy point.

You may age sims up via the birthday cake only once the game prompts you with a reminder of their impending birthday, not earlier.

I also nominate that all children who are blood related to the founder should be eligable for heir poll.
I just re-read the pinstars rules and don't see this though. I'm sure I saw only the first three someplace? Because I remember thinking how strange.

Like I said in the other thread, the only thing I saw about 'three' was that the founder and each heir must give birth three times and that twins and triplets still only count as one birth. It also stated, though, that all the kids could be in the heir poll.

I found it and quoted what Sawyer put in the other thread. He said only three were eligible for heirship. I would like that rule amended.

I think you're giving her the fruit too late. I do it right after she starts throwing up. Also, I use 10 fruits - maybe overkill, but I like to be sure.

3 is what I read you were supposed to give them and 3 has always worked before. Very strange. I'll try for five next time.
