Hey everyone. I wanted to let you know that I am going to back up my Sims 2 folder and then uninstall my game for awhile. We have both games on the computer and already all our hard drive space is almost full, on our brand new computer.
So this means no story updates for awhile...if ever *runs and hides before stoned to death*

Ah ha! And this is from the person who proclaimed a passionate hatred for The Sims 3 for forever and a day... until the day she got the game!  What you need to is buy a bigger hard drive Woman!  Ah well, I am currently putting together a challenge for TS3, so you'll be able to give that whirl soon if you want. ;D |

You traitor Holley! Just as well my dh brought me home sims 3 or be just about the only person without it.
Yes get yourself a bigger hard drive, my computer isn't all that great compared to Tina's or Harley's but it's playing both TS2 and TS3 as well as coping with 12,000 odd pieces of cc.
Oh well.

I know that once my story is finished, I'll be putting my Sims 2 away. That's the only reason I still have it going. But I'm lucky enough to have them on different computers, so I didn't have to choose.

Man Jill, why would you 'put it away'?  LOTS of cash was spent on all those expansions. I couldn't see myself NEVER playing it again! Right now I'm not interested in playing it because TS3 is so new to me, but there is still a TON of stuff I've never done in TS2. I think I'll likely go back in and play it now and then, at least I hope so...lol. What do you mean by 'how much?', Holley? Harley stated how much room in his post by listing all his hard drives...lol |

I hope I don't end up as being the only one here who still prefers sims 2. I like sims 3 and all, but if I had to ditch one it would be sims 3. The game is much like I thought it would be, fun, but not a long term prospect. maybe that could change after a few EP's..maybe. I still find them soulless and blobby.

LOL! The thing with me is that I never though of TS2 sims as having souls either. I have never really gotten attached to a sim, except my story sims, who I breathed life into. I gave them personalities and that makes them seem more real to me. When I'm just playing for the fun of it, all they are to me is little pixelated 'toys'. I am totally curious as to what sort of EP's they'll think up. I do hope we get back baristas and bartenders. It would be nice to actually go into a restaurant and watch our simmies like in TS2. Unless they do stuff like that, I cannot see myself enjoying writing a 'real' story in TS3. |

I've always been attached to most of my simmies. Which is why my founders have both had at least 2 bottles of elixer each. I'll have to let them go soon though.
