I don't have pets in households very often either. I've never even played family with a pet long enough for the pet to die..lol

Slight rant ahead:

Grrrr.... there's always SO much for me to do when getting ready to install a new expansion! This morning I have been going through my stuff to see what I have and what else I need. I have a personal media drive stuffed full of things I don't want to lose and somehow it has become a jumbled up, disorganised mess! lol When Harley broke my other computer, I quickly put stuff on it and then when I got it back and had to reformat, I put stuff on it and *sigh* things have gotten confusing. So ... I have been going through stuff and trying to figure it out and clean out some of the old crap I've been neglecting to do. What a headache! Hopefully I'll have it together soon because I really want to try this thing out now.

My Download folder was SOOO organized until about a month ago. I actually had hair in one folder, clothes in another folder (subdivided my gender and age) and makeup etc. Especially the makeup, since you can no longer delete it in body shop. it all started to go down hill when I downloaded all these simselves...

LOL... my downloads folder is in pretty good shape. It's the files I have saved everywhere else that are giving me the headache. *sigh*

I have decided to put my simselves, which I am starting to collect, in their own folder in downloads called 'Simselves'. Inside that folder will be subfolders named whoever the simself is and inside that will be the simselves and all the content that came with them. Then I will use Sims2Pack Cleaninstaller to check for duplicate files and get rid of any that I have more than one of.

My problem right now is making sure to get all my ducks in a row before I install this new expansion because I don't want to live without my speical hacks, etc.

I am telling you Tina... You should move all your hacks into a folder on your desktop, download the Insiminator and try it for awhile. if you don't like it just delete it and put your hacks back in.

The Insemenator could not possibly replace all my hacks...lol. One hack I refuse to live without is Pesado's Phone hack. Now my sims get called by their friends and actually talk instead of being asked if they've been abducted by aliens and then being hung up on...lol

I have game fixes in that stop critical problems and fixes to stop annoyances. Nope. NO WAY could I enjoy playing this game without my beloved hacks.

I had the Inseminator installed once for a bit and then got rid of it. It's just my sort of thing.

I couldn't live without my insiminator. i turn off the relationship decay on all my lots, so i don't get those calls about being abducted because the relationship score doesn't fall This is a biggie for me!

I turn off social decay when my sims go on dates (no jealous gir/boyfriends)

i speed up uni, I can max skills (including hidden ones), etc.

Hehe..... that's cool, but it's a bit too cheaty for me. I like having a bit of drama in my game. I have the Romance Mod from Pescado which makes jealousy and romance stuff make more sense. It stops/reduces jealousy between romance sims and stops the caught cheating memory if the couple isn't in a committed relationship, etc. I have had romance sim couples make out with other people in the same room and have them not care. I've also sent one in the bedroom to woohoo with someone else with his/her lover at home and their was no jealousy.

My cheatiest hack having to do with relationships is TwoJeff's 'no friends needed for careers' because I think it's stupid to have to have friends to get promoted...lol

You have your Insim and I have my hacks. My hacks are like my babies...lol The most important things in my game though are the bug fixes that JM fixed which apparently EA couldnt be bothered with fixing. All I can say is thank goodness for Pescado and those like him!

I know, it's so stupid. Since when did the # of friends i have determine promotions. That's why i liked the Aspiration bonus' that came with FT. those work bonus' sure make it a bit easier.
I hate that relationship scores go down everyday. It's stupid that I have to talk to you everyday or else we don't like each other as much. It is a lot of work to make friends, I would just like them to stay friends.

I know. It doesn't make much sense at all. I guess those things are just something they put in to make the game be more challenging since it's not like other games where you have to fight creatures, do missions, etc to keep the game going. I guess if you want it to have more of challenge, it's okay, but I don't care for it a bit, especially since my main fun is writing stories. I like to be able to get them to certain job levels without having to worry about all that other junk...lol

Lol and I play with hardly any hacks. Just really needed ones like the unofficial AL patch, the creature fix to prevent all the townies becoming vamps, CEP which isn't really a hack but shows up as one anyway Then I got an aspiration fix from MATY, as I had that horrible bug where you can't use there apriration points because it acts like there in the green. So elixer makes them older etc. And a primp fix. That disapeared ages ago so now I have that option back. I noticed when the legacy kids where in UNI they don't have the car woohoo option anymore. And since putting on AL I don't have any FT grow up townie function either.
I would love a fix for those, particuly the grow up one! Otherwise I play as is. It would be a pain taking out other kind of hacks for my challenges. Lol challenges is mostly all I do play. If I want a break from that I play the simself houses.

OT - I put sawyer and Chris in a batcherler pad in the OWBC hood. Will do a simself update on them soon.
Plus I finally got Tony (From the Mobacy) grown to teen! Just need to do a few birthdays and I will have all the pics for part B.

Yeah, it's a shame we have to call then "hacks" when they're actually "fixes" for EA's crappy programing! Yay, Mobacy!

Well, we can calll them 'mods' if we want to instead...lol. No way could I live without my hacks. Most of my hacks are actually fixes instead of cheaty-type ones. They just make the sims themselves seem a bit smarter and makes the game a bit more realistic. My cheaty ones are mostly object cheats like the college adjuster and the lot debugger which has a few cheaty options on it. I would not be able to stand not being able to change my sims' life time aspiration if I wanted because I refuse to even try some of the stupid ones they get by default...lol

I STILL haven't installed this thing because of not feeling well enough to deal with it. Hopefully I'll be giving it a shot in a few days. Thanks Jo, for telling me of the bugs you've gotten since installing AL. I'll keep my eyes out for them and see if it happens to me after installing.

Yeah I just wish I had more clear head time to write. Hope this chapter won't be too boring. Last chapter was easy to write as it felt funny to me. If something has that funny feel then I write easily. This is more slight drama/sweet stuff/heaps of boring birthdays. At least it ties things up which makes a good place to leave it for awhile and go back to the OWBC. I want to see what kind of bad apple Tina produces. (One child from the 3 pregnancies must be a bad apple..that is unclickable!) You can only have other sims interact and influence them.
