Apartment Life...

Well folks, I know I'm slow, but I think that over the holiday season while I'm taking a break from writing my story, I'm going to gather up all the updated hacks, etc and bite the bullet. I'm finally going to install this disc that has been sitting here for few months and check out what AL has to offer!

I've been reluctant to do it because I didn't want to do anything to interfere with the flow of my story, plus I was busy plotting, planning, and organizing chapters and didn't want to take the time to go on a hack hunt...lol. But I think that time has come.

Thanks Mae! I figured it's about time I installed it. All the hacks are updated, etc. I really want that playground equipment and those new interactions too!

Good Luck, Tina! I LOVE the witches! That was the whole reason for me getting it! I'm putting a warlock in my new story - and if you need to make one, let me know & I'll give you a quick cheat-ie way to do it!

I'm sure I'll check the apartments out, but I am NOT moving all my simmies out of their nice houses and into apartments...lol. I think I will use apartments for young people/couples just starting out and kids straight from Uni who don't move right back in with their parents. It will make it seem MUCH more realistic than it was before. Maybe I'll even move a few elders out and into apartments because that's also what they do in RL sometimes. Man, I need to start working on that so I can install in the next few days. I'm sort of excited to check it out now! ;D

I havn't really bothered much with the apartment aspect of it, but you will love having ceilings for photos Tina. Any floor tile can be used on the ceiling. I also really like the new cuddle interactions, playground stuff and the witches. i'm only just now seeing what they can do. It will be fun to add to the story. Challenge playing and story writing sometimes get in the way of just playing.

I'm looking forward to the playground stuff for my parks. I'm also interested in those new interactions. Not too sure how I'll feel about playing with witches, but I intend to mess around with them and find out. It could possibly come in handy for a storyline down the road.

Celings... I have some already that I downloaded from MTS2, although the way they have to be placed one tile at time is a tad annoying...lol I am being lazy and still haven't gathered up all the updated hacks I need. I need to get busy on that so I can install and start playing around with it.

Still haven't installed it because of being busy with other stuff... Still apprehensive and lazy about having to rearrange all my hacks...lol Ah well, this will be pretty much the last time of having to go through all that for this game.

I put a lot of my "bit players" for my stories in apartments. The teens all live there, except for Kai & Dean, who have families. I gave the other teens just 1 parent & stuck them in the apartments. I haven't actually "played" an apartment yet, but I hope to on my vacation! I've got a few days after Christmas off.

Oh no no Pixx. You should get AL, FT, OFB and then Uni and Pets. FT was SOOO great! \Definetly one of my Favorite EP's. I tolerate Uni because I want the extra want slots and Uni Careers and when ever I add a pet to my houses I regret it like... 2 seconds later.

Anyways, Tina AL is fun. I have my newly graduated Sims move into them. i like the new interactions and design aspects (lets you raise and lower pictures, etc.). I haven't messed with the Witches yet. I will get to that eventually.

on a side not. that is why I like the Insiminator so much. Only need one update for ALL the hacks you have to look up and probably some you don't have.

Raising and lowering the pictures? Wow, I hadn't heard about that feature yet. Cool! I've always wanted to be able to do that too. I need to finish up my gathering so I can put that baby in in and give it a whirl!

You do that with the [ and ] keys. That's a cool new feature. What isn't so cool is the puppy in a pen object. It glitched the first time I used it.

Yeah I haven't used that Puppy Pen yet. Like i said... I tend not to have Pets. Seriously I can't count how many Parrots and Hamster I have killed.
