I haven't really read this thread, but have you updated your graphic driver recently Karima? If you haven't you may want to try that.

That's a scary looking screen, Karima! And thanks, Tina for the print screen help - I wondered where those little suckers went! Lol!

And was your game still running fine after the update? Sometimes the updates to video cards can cause incompatibility problems.

Yay, you did it! ;D Man, that looks really bad, Karima. I have to go bed now because it's after midnight here and I got up at six this morning. I'm wearing down fast! So, this is happening with NO mods in? I am really stumped here. I think you need to look to a higher intelligence than I am...lol. You didn't happen to put your whole old sims 3 folder back into your documents, did you? The only other thing I can think of to try for now is to delete CasPartCache, compositorCache, scriptCache, and simCompositorCache from your Sims 3 folder and see if that will allow the game to load normally. Those files will regenerate when you start your game. Good luck, Karima. I'll check back in the morning to see if anything's changed for the better. You're welcome Jill! Now, you go try it! It's fun! You'll like it!

I did take out the cache files, my recycle bin is full of them, but sadly still the same screen, so I un-installed again WA, tried to start just the S3 game but it would not load, so updated my Quicktime! (Java only updated several days ago!) to see if that would help, went in to my programs & found that even though I had uninstalled the installer monkey, it was still in programs, found some other stuff in there as well that was obsolete,so I basically had a good old spring clean, looked every were for any of those files,(ending with bad!) they wrote about at MATY, could not find any,(doing all this, while my Qtime was updating!)deleted the cashe files again, defraged, tried loading the S3 game, it loaded, it loaded.........Yay! but sadly through all this my TSR3 folder has disappeared out of my mods folder!so everything from there has vanished! but my game now loads so I will try again to upload WA, or maybe I should finish my build first then try again! I will get back to you, with the out come! Thank you so much,Tina for all your help, you certainly put in a full days work with the Aussies yesterday! though Jo's problem was happening to me since Sims 2 & also Sims3, I have never turned off my security suite while playing the Sims, & pre update(patch) it was happening more, playing & then I was kicked to the desktop, sometimes it would be in the tray(an update was happening) but lately I was just kick out no update, nothing!

I haven't really read this thread, but have you updated your graphic driver recently Karima? If you haven't you may want to try that. It takes awhile for me to load mine, so Sue, Thank you for reminding me!!

I still can't install the patch even after removing the CC folder I've just given up for now. My game still works fine at least. I was so scared I might have to reinstall everything. That's always a hassle

So, did your loading screen go back to normal? Also, did you make sure to put the recommended Resource.cfg file back into the sims 3 folder in your program files?
You should add back cc slowly, not all at once. Some mods need updating for WA, so they may cause problems if they're not updated.

Well, it answered ONE of them anyway. You didn't give me answer on the Resource.cfg file that you're supposed to get from MTS and put into your TS3 folder in Program files. If your cc is not showing up, make sure that is in and take ALL your hacks out, leaving just the other cc and see if your stuff shows up.

;D I have been working on this early this morning & the CC is now working, beats me what I did different to make everything work? ?? I checked out the nude Sim & he is back to normal but with a buzz cut, instead of his custom hair! ;D Everything is working better than before, as it is loading faster, than pre-patch! I know I did not do anything different,on loading the game for the third time! ;D Thank you for all your help,as I also learned something new with your help,& my PC got everything updated & a good spring clean, so it is all good!
