please tell us all about it! Although I'm not excited enough to run out and buy it, I am very curious and want to know what those of you DO run out to buy it think of it. So, after you get it and have played long enough to form an opinion, please tell us what you think. ;D

It's true. I do have picspam. Here. I like it. It's uh...it's new and different and a little weird. But this morning when I opened it up I settled into playing it the same way I do when I sit down to play TS2. So it doesn't have that weird "AH WHAT DO I DO NOW?" feeling. Some people hate the collectibles but I kinda like them. My poor sim! She was practically dying, and she was pregnant so she had a negative moodlet for nausea, which just devastates their mood. So she was hungry, tired, dirty and pissy and I'm making her run around collect seeds and rocks and crap like that. lol. But you don't HAVE to get the collectibles. You can garden from food you buy at the grocery store. It's just...fun. I like the moodlets. Sort of. It's...if your sim has some big, good moodlets then it's awesome. But it can compound low needs. For instance, if your sim's fun bar is low, they get a stressed moodlet. So not only is their needs section in the yellow, but their mood is as well. So they are grumpy and miserable and annoying. The sims...will take getting used to. They are different, to say the least. But the interactions are pretty awesome. My favorite is the "Make Silly Faces" interaction. lol. It's good times. Also, my sim is a daredevil, so can "Sleep EXTREME" "Shower EXTREME until EXTREMELY clean!" and "Nap EXTREME" and when talking to other sims she can pick up dirt and eat it. 'Cause that's HARDCORE. lol.

Ewwww@picking up dirt to eat! Wow, thanks for posting Jess! I'll have to get around to checking out that link. Well Karima, what are you waiting for? Install and PLAY! I've learned that you won't get securom on your computer with this one. I'm very tempted to run out and get it myself because the curiosity is killing me!

I checked out a Sims 3 legacy...hmmm, there's hope for the game yet. Only thing that'll probably get annoying is that the sims have minds of their own. They go and woohoo autononomusly and age up and stuff, so if you leave a lot and play with another you may meet a big surprise when you get back.
LOL cause the person who did the legacy came off her lot and when she went back the sim was pregnant ;D

Yep. It seems you have to pretty much pick one family and stick with it. Some folks are saying it's as if the game is 'forcing' legacy-style play and it's the storytellers that are going to have the problem. That rather sucks. I can see it being good for a legacy player that only plays the main house, but... if you are writing a different sort of story, things will always be changing with all the characters that don't live in the house with you. That will definitely make storylines more difficult. I believe I'll keep my serious storytelling in Sims 2 form for sure.

What! No suuRom?! Are you sure? Jessie I will be over to comment. I just went through and replied back to all of mine and I have a headache...so later. What about that it takes up so much room on your computer? Is that true or not? If the limited install and sucurom really have been removed it tempts me to get it. Even though I still stand by the fact I think the sims don't look a patch on the sims 2. I don't think I would ever want to make them my main sims game. So it would have to run on the same pc as my TS2.

There is an option called Story Progression. If you turn that off, and aging off, then the sims won't do things without your permission and they won't age. So they don't have to get married or pregnant without your consent. They'll only do what is necessary to stay alive. The only annoying thing about that is you can't set it for each individual house. Well actually, I don't know. We'll have to see. lol.

I thought the guy at MATY said it DID have some form of suckyrom - but he used a crack to bypass it. Did I read it wrong?

I've read that right now, that story progression thing isn't working like it's supposed to. Now I've read that it does have a form of securom, but it doesn't actually install on your computer. I haven't read anything yet about JMP's opinion on that yet though, except that he did say the launcher doesn't appear to do anything malicous, except install downloads with those stupid, random numbers. He says to NOT use the launcher to install downloads. As for me, I think I'd still rather wait for a crack, but then I don't know how that will affect downloading and installing content. Right now, it's all a bit confusing to me and I've been getting headaches reading too much, trying to figure it all out. All the file talk, etc is more confusing when I don't have the game for visual effect. @jo.... one of the pirated copies had suckyrom on it, so a crack was included. According to what I've been reading, SecuROM is on the disk, but it stays on the disk and doesn't actually install itself onto your computer.
