Hey everyone! I'm back with another segment of my homeless simselves challenge mini-story! First, I'm going to start off with a horrifying sight I saw. Can you imagine if this happened in real life?
Someone left this poor, defenseless toddler out on the steps of the gym while he went upstairs to work out.
Ah well, that couldn't be helped. Now, on to our story:
Oops! Remember when Sawyer got to sleep in that nice, cozy bed? Well, here is a shot I forgot to show you of him
trying to grab a nice, hot bath when he woke:
Needless to say, that got him kicked out of the house so fast it made his head spin!
The early morning hours finds Lynda, yet again, interrupting someone else's quality time with the
ever-popular Sawyerinator..lol! This time it was Holley's turn to miss out on some 'cuddle time'.
Lynda: "Have I ever told you how attractive you look, even though you have dark circles under your eyes
from lack of sleep and you don't exactly smell like a bed of roses because of infrequent showers?"
Sawyer: "Right back atcha Babe!"
Meanwhile, Jill volunteered to help Jo out with her growing garden.
Jo got tired of weeding and watering, so she decided to greet a passing kid who seemed to be lost.
Everyone discussed what they wanted to do for the day. They decided it would be fun to visit the fish
hatchery to see if any new types of fish could be caught there. Even though Lynda was the 'fisherman',
everyone decided to join in on the fun.
Almost everyone, that is. I, once again, spotted a grill and headed straight for it. Jo enjoyed a dog from my first
batch, while I worked on grilling a second.
Jill came running at top speed when she got a whiff of those babies!
Lynda, on the other hand, had been fishing since early that morning and found herself a place to take a nice nap.
Poor Sue, bless her heart! Although she tried, she just couldn't seem to get the hang of fishing that day...lol!
Spending the whole day at the fish hatchery can really take its toll one's hygiene, so directly afterward,
we all headed to the All the Rave Warehouse, where we could get a decent meal, a shower, and maybe
have a good read if we felt up to it. Man, did we ever need to hit the showers!
This is my 'can it get anymore disgusting that this?' face:
After a hot shower, Lynda headed straight for the comfort food.
Poor Jill, could not get a first crack at the shower, so she decided to have a bite first.
Mae, as well as Jill, had not gotten a first crack at the showers. Their green fog almost smoked Sawyer out as
he tried hard to concentrate on his book.
One of the neighborhood people must have been attracted by all the green fog, because he arrived sporting one of his own...lmao!
Since I was used to that sort of thing, I greeted him as I would anyone else. Ignoring his horrid stench,
I complimented him on his dancing.
It warmed my heart to see everyone enjoying the batch of hot dogs I grilled.
Several of us crashed on the comfy sofas, while others just enjoyed the fact that there were books to be read.
In the darkness, just before dawn, Sue decided to practice her fishing while there was no one awake to see her if she grew clumsy again.
It wasn't long before her fear of the dark began to get to her and she was happy to hear someone else stirring,
besides the crickets and other night time noises.
Sue: "Why, oh why does it have to be SO dark out here? I really can barely stand it sometimes, you know!"
Tina: "So, I told Sue to just concentrate on the constellations and to just not think about the dark! Do you think
that was good advice?" Lynda was barely listening though. She wanted to get her hands on her fishing pole,
although she knew she'd never catch a clown fish is that little pond like she did at the hatchery.
Lynda: "Oh yes, come fishy! Come on little, I mean, big fishy wishy!" She groaned as she heard yet someone
else approaching to ruin her fishing mission.
Lynda barely heard a word of what Jo said. All she could think about was getting her pole back into the water.
Jo had a feeling Lynda hadn't been listening to her, so she just went about her daily gardening chores.
While Jo did her gardening, Sue contemplated her surroundings under the willow tree.
Even though Jill had other pressing needs she should attend to, her green thumb nature pushed her into helping out.
Here is the fruits of their labor, which has grown since this picture, as you will see in the next segment.
Soon, the normal morning ritual began of gathering in the restroom. No one could use the sink, though, because
Holley insisted on scrubbing it until it was pristine.
All the gardening and other chores made everyone pretty stinky, so it was time for a trip to the warehouse.
Everyone got nice hot showers, except for Sue, who got stuck in that same old stinky loop... again. Sue, cut that out, Woman!
Look! The ladies have formed a book club.
Sawyer decided to go hunting for some more rocks to collect.
He was shocked to discover such a motherlode of them just behind the trailer where the Brokes live. Who would have thought?
As poor as the Brokes are, just think if they would have found these? Sawyer quickly scooped them all up and headed toward home.
They would not have to worry about the bills this time around, or the next time for that matter!
Well, that's about it for this time. There wasn't much to it really, but the family is coming along. I will leave you with this beautiful shot of the sun coming up over the horizon.
