@ Amylu! It DOES sound lke one of those email games people send - I can see a little figure trying to cross the street holding a stack of package they can't see around! Lol! For folks I don't know what to get, I make up a video basket. At Blockbuster video (or Hollywood Video) they sell microwave popcorn that comes in a theatre sized tub. The tub is big enough to hold a few DVD's (or a gift card if you don't know what they like or want) some movie snacks, a 2-liter bottle of pop or some ot chocolate mix, etc. Once I get it all in the cardboard tub, I wrap it in either plastic film (like an Easer basket) or wrapping paper. Then they have an instant night in, or they can use the gift card to choose their own movies. Nicole - I liked JIm Butcher's stories very much, and Bob the skull is great! I wasn't thrilled with his writing at first, but hung in because the stories were good. I think his writing has gotten way better and I really enjoy him now. I just read a short story from him in an anthology called "Blood Lite". I love those books, because you get short stories by many authors and I find new authors to read that way.

@the game concept! Jo, you get on your KNEES to wrap presents on the floor? I sit right flat on my big, very-well-padded butt when I'm on the floor wrapping! My knees very rarely come into play...lol

Well... I kind of went from my creaky old knees to my well padded behind and back again.

I just sit there with the package in front of me on my butt and wrap like crazy! Every now and then I may have to reposition myself briefly to reach something, but my knees very seldom come into play. Oh, and to answer your other question: My hubby usually helps wrap more, but since he's been working in his computer shop, he hasn't helped me wrap the first darned thing.

I've wrapped most of the kids stuff now, just a few more things for DS's stocking. Then I can start on the adults gifts.

You know, I'm pretty slow at wrapping too. lol I'm still slowly wrapping things. I didn't wrap anything yesterday except Stephanie's birthday gifts because I'm so freaking tired all day long. Today, I have managed to wrap two small gifts, but I have quite a few more to go. Tomorrow I am going to get busy wrapping some stocking things. I have FOUR of them to do, because I have started the tradition of making one for my mom too.

The kids stocking stuff takes the longest as there are quite a few and many are oddly shaped. Just as well I don't need to make those too neat. I just like the element of surprise it gives as they open them.

Yeah. I don't worry about neatness in the stocking gift department either. I do rather enjoy stuffing the stockings and making them look pretty, though.
