I am happy to announce that I have just knocked out most of my Christmas shopping online at Amazon.com! ;D I got free shipping and everything. Hopefully everything will get here as soon as possible and then the really fun part begins . . . . wrapping! Not....

I've got pretty much everything now, save for a few bottles of ale and one more expensive present...but the wrapping, ugh. That's my job for this Saturday, and to be honest, I'd rather be at work! Sang at my Christmas concert today, and if that doesn't spur me on to finish all my shopping, nothing will. 2 weeks people! ;D

Oooh, I'll take some of that ale, Amy! I ended up signing up for the free, two-day shipping at Amazon, so most of my stuff has been shipped today! Yay! I also got a little something for myself in the bargain.

DS-Thomas Train and Lightning Maqueen lap top. Wii game, books, a few cars and a magnadoodle. MIl- Handmade quilted bag. I wanted to buy her this ceramic shoe (she collects shoe ornaments) But it was sold out FIL puzzle. Dad- Book on Church History Mum-Mug and a hand towel BIL- Novel 'White Night' by Jim Butcher. No idea but he likes that author he says. SIL and BIL Christmas hamper Great Niece and nephew Inlaws, books. (They're only 3 and 1) I really hope I haven't forgoten anyone.

Well doen for finishing Jo! ;D You're a great example to us all! I thought I was finished too, but then one friend told me she had already got what I've bought her (not that she knows that), and the same day my friend living in Tokyo sent me a present. I thought she was a little too far away to get her anything, but I can always run out and find something I guess? And then there's the fact that my boyfriend and I are having Christmas this weekend at our flat, so his need to be ready first and....they're not. Yay, fun stressful times!

Oh don't look to me, because I forgot about dd presents to her grandparents. We always make something and I meant to order some paintable Christmas decoration.... I haven't. So I have to go do some more ordering today. I'm also going to make a thread about a T shirt...see if anyone skinny wants to buy a bigger one and trade.

Jim Butcher writes "The Dresden Files" books about a PI that's actually a practicing wizard. They made a 1 season show out of it for the Sci Fi channel that was actually really good, but they cancelled it.
I think I'm done, but I always think I'm done until someone says "Did you pick up that..."

Yes I saw the "The Dresden Files" in the list of books. They were more expensive. The one I got was only $12 which is enough for my bil. He never buys anybody anything! The shop had Five pages of Jim Butcher books. Again not my scene, but so long as he knows and likes them that's what counts. I usually do get people something that they like. Lol no use buying for yourself unless you know the person has similar tastes. This is why dh leaves gift shopping to me "You're good at it" Dang.

I watched the film 'Jingle All The Way' when he goes shopping for a toy on Christmas Eve, and if that didn't send me into a panic making sure I'd got everything, nothing will! I really don't want to face the pile of wrapping, but it's not going anywhere I guess, so I'll have to do it at some point soon.

Thank God I have a lot of my wrapping done too. For me, that is one of the worst parts...lol Amylu, I noticed they have gift certificates at Amazon that you can email. One of those wouldn't be a bad idea for your friend in Tokyo. It's fast enough...lol

Heh, good idea Tina. She works in the Disney World over there in Tokyo, so she has everything she wants. So with a gift voucher, it would be up to her what to buy for herself. Yay I've bought everything and wrapped all but three presents. Only one problem: my parents have my boyfriend's main 2 presents from me and won't bring them up in the car. Why? They're buying presents for me and are too busy. *hits head*

Oh no... that bites...lol I've done all the shopping I'm going to do, except for one last thing, I think. Although I've done a TON of wrapping, I still have a bit to go. At least I got the biggest, and the worst, one done yesterday. ;D

I'm so slow with wrapping. Tina I tried wrapping on the floor while watching some TV last night.. .. I'm going back to the table! My poor, poor knees! I have the larger gifts done now at least. SIL and BIL hamper came in a flashy black box with a large red ribbon. I've never seen a hamper done that way before! Guess it makes sense seeing it was posted. So that's one gift I don't have to wrap. Does anyones dh/SO/Boyfriend wrap? I said to dh last night while I'm the floor with my sore knees and HE sits watching TV from his easy chair that why is it I do all of it, even the ones to HIS family.?? I might make him wrap his brothers and great nephew and Nice's books at least.

Jilly, that's Zack's favourite author! Lol I thought nobody had heard of him. (Books are wayyy better than the show, they don't depict Harry right at all, and he actually has a talking skull, unlike the real person they show in the show.) Zack's getting here tomorrow evening so after things are settled, him and I are going shopping for the dads. *sigh* They're so difficult.

My boyfriend wraps, he just leaves it to very, very late on. *glares at bag of unwrapped presents*. I say very late because we're having christmas tomorrow here then going back to our parents for the actual Christmas. I've put the presents under the tree and now I come to the worst bit as I can't drive: finding people to give them their presents whilst using public transport. It sounds like a level in a game to me!
