I've heard some of those old dead sims from the base game don't resurrect properly. Hope you have a game back up Jilly.
I made a full backup before messing with the hospital mod. Would have been cool if that had worked, it's supposed to take your sim to the hospital you set up before hand. It actually changes the lot to be somewhere between a community lot and a residential lot. It comes with NPC nurses and Doctors. I found mention of it on a message board when I was looking for hospital type clothes. From there I found the site it's on. It's by Chris Hatch (sp?) He's the one who discovered how to make separate gender linked baby clothes.
So I downloaded a hospital and set it up with the lot zoning changer which looks like an ambulance. Then made my sim sim sick (The sim has to be sick, sunburnt or pregnant to make the emergency call as it's the only way to get them to the lot) Made the call just fine and the taxi came, but instead of getting in he jumped away. Even with all my other hacks out it still wouldn't work. I'd be interested to see if it works for somebody else if anyone wanted to try it out. Except it's an adult site so I couldn't look until kids were not around. I tried the G rated version, lol their regular version had some ridiculous 'nurses' outfits I believe. I can't post the site here due to the pro board rules, but I can pm the link if anyone is interested.
Right now I am looking at using a combo of simlogical mods instead. I know there school mods works fine so I'm trialling a meeting mod, an event mod (keeps a group of sims on a lot for the time set) and their prison mod. I thought the prison mod might do a phyc ward, except they get a memory of 'went to prison'

The Tricous are fine to resurrect as they were made as full files, it's the older ones like Brandi Broke's husband and Darren Dreamer's wife who kill the game, so you should be fine, Jilly.
I love all the mods you have Jo, it all sounds so interesting! Hope the hospital works for you, the taxi glitch sounds annoying though.

I got a small prison up and running. 3 prisoners, two guards in the prison career that it comes with and the owner is the Governor. Except I had to work out formyself that the owner had to be at the top of the prison career track to become govener. Nothing in the tutorial mentioned this. The guards also only work at night.... What about the day! The controllers are a bit confusing, but I’m mostly getting to work okay. All the hospital mods work except for one tiny problem on a nappy recolour on the girl deco baby. Next up I’m going to build a hospital as neither of the two I downloaded are suitable for this. Also discovered the 'Event Controller' is a Sims 1 hack! I looked it up under Sims 2 in a little selection window which obvously doesn't work. Then thought strange I've never seen this page before... After I extracted it I saw files had a .iff extension. Google told me those are Sim 1 files! Shame as it had some cool stuff. Chairs you could make the sim sit in for the 'event' a computer they could work at and make money, a bench to make gnomes at. All done to a timed event. I totally missed the boat on Sims 1 cc as I had no idea such a thing even existed back then!

My apologies for a) bumping an old thread and b) using caps lock, but this is the perfect thread and I am very excited: WE HAVE A HOUSE!!!!!! ;D We've put a rental deposit down on our first house (still renting, but hey, it's a house), and it's perfect. Great location, a garden, a vegetable patch, a cellar, computer room for simming, omg I'm so happy.

Don't worry about resurrecting old threads if you having something good to add to it Amy. How exciting Amy! When do you move in? The moving part isn't fun, but once everything is in and everybody leaves-yah! House! ;D

@jo, 3rd November, so a little while yet. But we'll have been together for 5 years that week, so moving out, 3 day holiday abroad, then moving in will make it a busy week. ;D Been home for the day to visit everyone, so tomorrow is sims day! Let's hope that this time when creativity finally strikes, I don't get 3 phone calls like I did last time to interrupt me.

I should get back to Nic's interlude, but all I've been doing is building and decorating and I've covered my desktop in downloads. *faints* I'm reeeaaalllly going to have to weed through it all. I still can’t find the kind of glass coffee pot for Nic’s chapter that i want so I’m going to have to use one that looks like a large milk jug. For all the clutter around and many teapots, no one has made a normal glass coffee pot.

Right now, I just let Jade out and back in from outside. I'm waiting on the Sims3 Pets to come!

I'm still lukewarm about Pets because of the unicorn thing, but I have my preorder in! Lol!
Amylu, that's outstanding! What a wonderful anniversary gift! I'm so happy for you!
Jo, that's so odd about something as common as a coffee pot! I'll watch for one in my surfing.
Work is terrible. They still haven't told me when my last day will be, and it's just so stressful to be there. Now that my move is done, I was hoping to get backto simming, but I'm so bummed out that I find myself ignoring my poor pc. The new owner actually had the nerve to show up at our location tomorrow, expecting a party in his honor. The people who are relocating have no problem with that, but the rest of us who will be out of a job because of his douchery feel differently. I took a vacation day so I won't have to be there. They got him a red limo to pick him up from his private jet at the airport, and hired trumpeters - TRUMPETERS! to line the door for his entrance!
Most people haven't found this out yet, but he also forbade our managers to write us reference letters. There was no way I could've been there and kept my mouth shut. What a collosal jerk. For money reasons, I want to work as long as I can, but I'm so ready for the end to come.
On a happier note, my ressurections went well. The Tricous are fine (I believe they were created for the purpose of ressurecting them) And I've also brought back Darlene Dreamer with no problems. I have a sim PE extracted copy of Skip and Bella that I placed as well. The Sim Blender let me alter their relationships so they show up in the family tree, so I was happy about that.
Since I have tomorow off, I plan to try and work on fixing my Sims 3 game with an uninstall/reinstall and scanning each download before replacing it. Then I'll be ready for Pets on Tuesday. (I put a list of everything that's supposed to come with Pets in the Pets thread)

Aw Jilly, that's so awful about your work. The same thing happened with my Mum a while back, the building she used to work in is just empty now, as the people who bought it out had no idea how to run it. Good idea taking the day off, that sounds like too much to take. *hugs* Good news about your sims though, the resurrections sound great, I bet it's really changed the families having those members back. ;D Hope your Sims3 reinstall goes well today, too. I just got a spider out of the room; of all the places to hang, it had to go over my laptop!! It was only small though, and I used the broom to move it, wimp that I am. 2 and a half weeks to my move, hoping to get my sims chapter out by the end of this week so that I can just about get the Hallowe'en post done on time.

Jilly, that's horrible what's happening at your work place. No references? Trumpets for the guy? I'd be skipping out on all of that too. *hugs*
