Yes, I think that part of the reason why bright children cause mischief is because they are able to do things that they shouldn't yet be able to do due to being intelligent enough to think of doing those things or of how to do them.
I called a few places about aloe vera plants, but no luck with finding one.
I certainly live too far to get any from you...lol. My sis says she's tried the aloe gel stuff you can get from drug stores, but she said it burnt her skin badly. I may suggest to her to try finding a plant to try. She has a severe skin condition and has tried most everything. She uses heavy doses of cortisol(sp?) on every part of her skin, and it's causing more ruination since it thins the skin.

;D I get Psoriasis of the skin on & of it also is one type of arthritis I have! But I ramble Sorry! I use it for that! The Aloe your sister used must not have been pure as Aloe does not sting & I have used it on many an opened wound !! the plant would be very beneficial to your sister as it is very soothing to put the gel on aggravated skin! It also takes the heat out of burns! I do hope you can find some plants AS I think it is like a first aid kit! Gots to have one!

My sis has an unknown skin condition. Her skin is as raw as hamburger all over and very thin (nearly transparent), and not just because of the cortisol. She's always willing to try new things, to make it not hurt and not itch so badly that she scratches til it bleeds (which doesn't take much these days) all over. She's had it for about 20 years and it only gets worse. Once, she got scarlet fever because someone with strep throat was in her class (when she was about 8 years old) and the strep throat infection when straight into her blood stream though an open wound. It was very, very bad, and she nearly died. The health board had to do an investigation, and they were trying to blame her condition on my parents; so that they could get social services involved. Then social services tried to take her away, wanting her to live in a bubble or something. I keep digressing. Anyways, it was definitely not pure aloe that she used, but at least aloe was the first ingredient (most of the time, it's the last one listed). I'm bored; I should be finishing my WYDC update, but I'm not wanting to at all.

Oh man, sorry to hear about the skin problems. I also have aloe plants here at my house. What I'm really stuck on, though, is the bad-acting nephew issue. Oh man, I cannot STAND IT when parents tend to let their children run their lives and think its a good thing! All it leads to is bigger trouble down the road. I'll tell you what, and this may sound harsh, but if it were MY nephew, he'd learn to act right in my house, despite his parents. If the parents didn't like it, they could just take the brat and go home...lol. I never put up with any crap from my own children, so I'll be damned if I'll put with any from other people's children in my house. Kids always seem to like me right away because I guess they know I love kids and they usually behave for me pretty well. I used to babysit a few years back and the kids always learned to be good for me, but they usually turned into spoilt brats again the minute their parents walked in the doo to pick them up...lol

Did you try a health food shop for Aloe gel? I think they might have some pure if you can't find a plant. I did mean a plant though as I really think that is the best. I would not be putting up with a kid destroying my house. Too bad if your BIL doesn't like it, maybe he would leave sooner. If you are bored you could always try my challenge. Then you could have three on the go. ;D

He mostly misbehaves when his dad is around, he's pretty good when his dad isn't around. Kids pick up quickly on who they can and cannot misbehave around.
His dad pretty much encourages the bad behavior, claiming that he should be free to express himself in whatever way he wants. Of course, my brother in law, thinks that my parents were too strict with my sister and me; and we both think that his parents were far too lenient with their children (they have 5 kids and they are all dreadful people - selfish - who care/think of nothing but themselves).
Since my sister has been so sick, for the first year and a half her in-laws raised her son, and they think of him as their own child criticising anything and everything that my sister or anyone else does. Her in-laws even threaten to have her son taken away from her - claiming she is an unfit mother due to her health. It's really a unpleasant situation, and I feel helpless.
All this said, you can possibly see why I would never send my sister to take her son home because he misbehaves. She has a lot to deal with from her husband, as well as her in-laws (who live on the same property as my sister does). She just has to get away once every couple months for a week or so to recover from the stress of it all.
Anyways, that's not so much as a tiny fraction of the terribleness that she has had to put up with from her husband, his siblings, and his parents. Gah, and she wondered why I told her not to marry the guy!
Jo, I have tried a few health food stores, but no luck as of yet. I did read part of your challenge a few days ago; however, I don't have Free Time and there seemed to be a lot of stuff relating to that, so I didn't continue reading it. Anyways, I've got a rather annoying problem going on with my game right now. I've removed my hacks and will see if the problem is still there. Otherwise I may just scream loudly. I'm trying to get Lakelse to get married to the simself he's now engaged to, but I cannot throw a party or invite over the households. He's best friends or at least friends with several simselves, but cannot get any of them to show up for his wedding! I'm so frustrated about this right now.

Is it a phone glitch? There are some phone fixes around, at MATY and simwardrobe you could try. What was it from FreeTime? A career? I'd have to go back over my own rules.

I don't know what the glitch is exactly. What happens is when I throw a wedding party (or any party) I get just the first person on the list of those invited to show up. And when I invite household, only the person who got called comes. I've never had a problem with either before. I'm waiting for my game to load without hacks, so I can see if that's the problem.
I don't remember what it was from freetime. I don't think I read it too carefully, was just looking at what the challenge was since I had seen mention of it and was curious.
Edit: Not a hack issue, have the same problem with no hacks in game. I've never had this problem, usually they'll all come over even if the relationships aren't friends or best friends. Editx2: I removed all downloads, same issue I certainly didn't have this problem a few months back when my legacy family had a huge wedding party.

Oh man, I wish I could say what your problem must be, but I don't have a clue since it still does it with your hacks removed. There's a good chance that your hood has become corrupt, or at least the lot on which you're playing. Does it do the same with other lots, or just that one?

Oh, thanks Tina! I didn't think to check the other lots and other neighbourhoods, I'll have to check later tonight once the little boy is asleep. Since this is a new neighbourhood, I'm hoping it's just the lot. If I cannot get this fixed, I'll have to throw a small wedding party of one, with just a few sims individually invited over.

Pixx? huh? I just tried it in my WYDC neighbourhood was able to throw a party with all guests showing up and invite household over and have all in the household come even with significantly lower relationships than Lakelse has with his invitees. I also tried it in a different household in the OWBC neighbourhood and all worked as it should. So, should I try moving him out and back in? Or should I just give up on that lot and build anew? ... Grr, I hate building houses! Oh, and also when the founder of the Lake household invites for a party, I don't get the message that says that not all could make it to the event, even though only one shows up. I even tried creating a group and inviting that way, again only one showed up, even though it said that everyone could make it. I apologize for this all getting so off topic again. I'll try harder to not veer off course in the future. Maybe it'd help if I quit.

Jo, ok....lol. I've been 'banned' from a forum once for posting off topic stuff, which is probably part of why I don't normally write anything at all. I'm suprised I've done anything at all here even.
Anyways, just wanted to say that I moved him out and back in again, and now all the guests are arriving. Yay! Of course, now he has no money, and his bride didn't help at all - a whole $1.
Ouch. Well we are all pretty easy going bunch here, maybe it shows.
$1 lol is she from the garden club? They all come with $1 and not even a gold gardening badge!

;D I may Quote this wrong, but I'm sure someone will say if I'm wrong!LOL! Go to MTS2 & get the "Stay everything bush" if you ever move out again & do not want to lose everything put the bush some were on your lot & click on it! I know it has two options, but I do not know the exact wording! Stay everything on exiting the lot (OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT?) is the one you click, you then can exit the lot & re-enter & everything is as it was! I know this is not much help now, but for future reference, Tina is the one who told me, & I have used it several times for the building challenges to test the houses work properly! I do hope you understand this, as I'm Dyslexic & get my letters mixed up at times! ;D The threads here nearly always go off topic! & as this is my first Forum that I have been active in, I thought that was natural! lol !
