ITA with Aussie! I lost 40 lbs a few yrs ago (and I need to do it again, lmfao) by walking frequently, drinking lots of water (and coffee) and eating very rich foods in smaller portions. I had three meals, two snacks per day, roughly. And I-T-A about positivity. It has to be done because you feel beautiful NOW and the changes have to be such that you can live with them. In other words, no deprivation. :-D

Karima, I agree, and I definitely am wanting to. I've been wanting to since I started putting the weight on. I've had to do this once before when I gained weight from stress, but that was only 10 lbs, not 25. I usually get a bunch of small meals, otherwise I'm hungry having to wait for 5+ hours until the next meal. I try to eat something every 2.5-3 hours which seems to hold back hunger pangs that can cause overeating.
Lynda, gardening is so very out for me. I'll manage to kill everything in my garden if I do anything. My dad primarily does all the gardening except for watering the potted plants. Which I try to do, but fail miserably to keep them alive. I intend to walk a lot over the next 5 weeks 1-2 hours straight a day at least.
Snazzy, I agree with what you said. I need to start drinking more water. 6-8 glasses is just not enough during summer. I probably need closer to 12, but I find it hard to get that much. I'm not going to deprive myself, that'll just make cravings worse. I will be cutting a few foods, such as pasta and red meat, since they seem to cause me metabolic problems. Neither of which I really like in the first place.
As for positivity...I'm usually known for being quite positive, seeing the brighter side of an issue, but over the past few months, not so much. Not entirely sure on why. As for feeling beautiful: I've never felt beautiful, and I'm not sure I'm capable of actually doing so. Yeah, so I have self-esteem and confidence issues.
I have a dress that I'm wanting to wear to the wedding, but need to lose an inch or two around my ribcage in order for me to breathe in it. So, if that's all I can manage to achieve, I'd be thrilled with it.

I'd love to loose some weight, but my will power is nill and I don't excersize enough. Having babies stacked on the weight, before that I was a stick. Then I am not a well person and spent way too much time sitting. Doing stuff causes me some pain so yeah sitting is way easier. Just doing the basics and trying to keep ahead of these darn mice is enough!

I don't have all that good of will power, but the determination to do so helps where my will power lacks. I've lost 2 lbs since Wednesday already. Which is faster than planned, but good just the same. My mom told me I'd be lucky if I can manage to lose 5 lbs...way to show support. : p Sitting usually is easier; however, sometimes you have to work through the pain. I don't know what pain you're having to deal with Jo, but I will say that I have quite a bit of pain to tolerate myself. I find even getting out of bed some days to be quite a challenge. So going for a walk every day is quite hard for me; I've missed one day so far - but that was because of a blister from wearing wrong shoes for my walk the day prior.

2lbs way-to-go! Sue, if I can do it, anyone can! I am usually naturally thin, but six years ago I could not walk! at all! & now I do (or try too!lol!) every day,& I have very low self esteem (thanks to my mum! way to go mum!) but I have always had the value that there is always others worse of than me! I'm the glass is half full kind of girl! So, I have always tried to stay positive! & my main problem is in my hips, I have problems sitting upright, standing still or lying flat on my back, & with this & the LOVELY Dr's giving me or should I say experimenting on me,with a mix of drugs I became the biggest I have been, ever! even bigger than my pregnancies At 13 stone! that's a lot for some one who usually weighed 6 stone which is underweight for my height of 5ft7in! I now weigh the correct weight!(9 stone 4lbs!I think that is 62 in kilos!) I did not stick to a regular schedule Of three meals a day! but did eat random meals of six, through out the day! Healthy meals not snacks of junk food!Drink plenty of water to the point of over dose, swim in the stuff ! as I find it helps with filling you up! & it flushes your system! CLEAN! it makes your skin glow!I have always preferred veggies & fruit over meat (I am not vegetarian! I do eat meat but about once or twice a week!) & sweet treats like Ice-cream & lollies & such!though I have never deprived myself! if you feel like chocolate, have a square or two,not the whole block, lol! as if you do, you will eat more than that & then feel guilty! & eat even more,Don't go there! Also laughing helps too! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT, SUE! you go girl! :-*You have already a good start! 2lbs is fantastic! I will gladly be your cheer squad! ;D

Yay, my own cheering squad...lol I'm sure those two pounds was just water weight now that I think of it, but hey, two pounds is two pounds. I can't get a walk in today, unless the pouring rain stops in the next hour. Aren't our mom's great (sarcasm). Mine is always putting me down in one way or another. 6 stones definitely is not much...I'm at the same height you are and haven't weight that little since I was about 15! I hope I'm figuring right - a stone is 14 lbs? so, 84 lbs. Yum, chocolate and ice cream...nah, have none in the house, and I'm not driving to for 15 minutes (30 minutes total drive) in the pouring rain just to get some. lol lollies? I'm drawing a blank.

I did get an excersize bike and started going on that off a morning, I guess I stopped because it's so cold out there now. Yeah I'm bad.

Cold out? I suppose that means it's not in your house. Outside, garage, basement, something like that?
I had an exercise bike when I was 16 but gave it back to the person who gave it too me. It squeaked a lot and made my family less than happy about the noise.

It's winter over here and my bike is on the back deck, the wind kind of whistles along there. *Shiver* I'm such a cold frog. Dh has shorts (nearly always) and a long sleeve T on, me I am all rugged up and thinking of putting the heater on.
