So I'm off to the big smoke to see my specialist (neurologist) about my marvelous interesting fascinating brain! Lets hope I get some more answers.

You guys crack me up. If you want to hear how I sound listen to an Aussie actor like Hugh Grant Jackman, but think female lol with a crikey and mate now and then. Add to that a kind of British twang in there, probably London-Chester-cockney. Help much? No?

I'm mostly going to find out when we can start the genetic testing to see if DD may have this too, and ask about my pins and needles and I guess talk about my medication. I don't think she will actually look at my brain again. Lol although she does have it on the CD that she took to her meeting, would be nice to get my brain back!

Well I'm back and know nothing more then before. Basically if we want a genetic test we have to fork out $2,000 for one test, that only tests one gene, and then if we want to get another gene tested (She listed three but said there might be more) we fork out another $2000 and so on. So it looks like nothing will be happening. She said she will do some reading but she didn't even know anything about the other possible problems that come with the disorder such as artery problems or infections. No one is doing any research either. It's too rare of a condition to warrant any public health money. So I'm rather disappointed.
