Journaling our sims

I haven't gone on my laptop because of my cold, I must have slept for 30 odd hours in the last couple of days, only getting up for work (my work 'buddy' is on holiday, so I'm not allowed days off, sick or otherwise, when she isn't there to cover my job).

So I'm hoping that I'll feel better this weekend and I'll be able to get these hairs shared. The middle one is for all ages, which I haven't seen Maxis Matched anywhere else, so hopefully these should be useful for people.

Oh dear Jo, your game's crashing again? What made it crash?

I have no idea Amy. I had told one of the teens to wear a thinking cap which lost him a skill and put him in bed due to me not checking, then I woke him up after a few hour and the game froze, his want pannel was also frozen while spinning but with the rolling sound continuing. :/ It's a decent sized house, but not huge and no snow as it was sumer holidays. I think I just need more memory.

Jo, a couple posts back, you mentioned that you have a "pick flowers" hack. That sounds neat, but my Google skills aren't working right just now. May I ask where you got it?

Off the new family friendly back Alley Sims site. You will need to register I think and look under Chris hatche's area. His sites are not easy to navigate so call out if you can't find it.

I registered and found it right away, but it's FT and higher only. Although it looks like there might have been a basegame version at some point, it's not there anymore. And the A&N with the hospital mod is also FT or higher. Won't someone think of the Mac users?

Thank you for the info, though. I said you referred me, in case you get some sort of bonus for that.

I wonder if a base game one might be over on the adult site. I don't know that they have moved everything they can move from the adult to the family site. Of course wading through that site isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I know the pick flower mod is on the adult site. I think Chris really needs to categorize things better!

I've been building on tiny lot sizes and I love it! Much easier and more manageable, it suits me much more only having to decorate the minimum number of rooms.

I think we said 5 pictures max per post? I can't remember, but you get the idea.

And I'm impatiently waiting for the February sims challenge to be posted at GoS. I want them to post the challenge so I can make the sims with their prompts, then use those sims as models to upload my new textured hairs.... I still only have 2 new sims in my 'hood, all the rest are Maxis bin sims.

Those are cute. I enjoy making tiny houses/community lots too. Five was the max for one post in here, but put up as many as you like over on the photo board.

How did you go with your February Sims challenge?

No worries Jo, I've been offline most of this week anyway.

They never posted the challenge, so I'm hoping to upload Charlotte (yep, I eventually named my red haired sim) and the 3 hairs I made onto Tumblr and LJ, when I get up the courage (hopefully today). I hate sharing stuff for the first time and not knowing if I've done it right.

Maybe if I upload here first, you guys could tell me if everything looks ok?

Frammit! Tonight I played a good amount of my cunning bit of Plot, setting things up for down the road. But there were some things I hadn't planned on, like more-than-one and me-feeling-bad and family-size-limits. I realized that the motivation I had for a Very Important Plot Point doesn't actually make any sense. It could maybe be twisted to work with personality points -- if it weren't for that darn family-size-limit thing. And having the Plotty Bits spread out might mean that I'm really not playing fair after all. And I used a boy's name for a girl.

EDIT: And my backup is two long play sessions old, and I really don't want to sit through those days again. Gah! Just tell me it will all work out okay in the end?

Well it worked so it must be right! Kind of weird as it doesn't look like a folder but it goes into it lile it is. So I just unzipped it inside the wall one. There is one for walls, stairs and fireplaces.

Oh dear Esme, it'll all be alright in the end! I'm guessing sim A had twins then? Or am I getting plot points confused? *hugs* Is the boy's name able to be shortened or lengthened into something more girly?

Yes, A had twins. And I don't know that people would necessarily recognize the boy's name as being a boy's name, since it's not a European name, but I'd know. I think I can change it with the SimBlender, at least, but then I might have to change another name too, since they don't have the same ring with the correct female name. It did have a thought about motivation, consistent with personality points. It might work. More thought is required...

Jo, I'm glad you got the Scriptorium (sp?) to work! How do the walls look?

I can't see them at all! Invisable walls are invisable.

I'm still making new sims, and trying to get more creatures in my new neighbourhood.

Is it ok if I link to my Tumblr from here? I can upload pictures directly to that rather than hosting them at photobucket, it saves space and time that way.

This is Samantha. She's just turned into my neighbourhood's first plantsim. Now for the obligatory plant baby.... ;D
