I love your kitchen Esme, I really like wood kitchens and the floor tiles match it perfectly. Very Mary-Sue, and nice and calming, too. I'm doing mine with the family in mind, as they are in my game at the moment. The girls have moved to uni and Mary-Sue's fired every service sim and got Daniel back, to the extent where she's pregnant again. You do not mess with Mary-Sue in my game. Anyway, here's my kitchen, Sims 2 CC (the most CC I've ever used!): Looking through the archway from the dining room into the kitchen. I've taken the pictures as if you're walking round the table in the middle, hopefully it makes sense as to where it all is. The piggy bank in the corner doesn't really fit the colour scheme, but I couldn't resist, I like to think it's Mary Sue's holiday fund so she can save up for a few days of peace and quiet. There's a bit of a gap here as I've not finished the dining room, and it's through the arch in the middle. The door on the left leads to the dance room, and the right one to the hallway. Overhead shot I've changed a lot of the inner layout of the house, the kitchen's now at the back, looking over the swimming pool. And from this shot, you can see the other rooms I've started on!

That's really pretty Amy, I love the blue cups on the white cup rack-all the white things actually, where are they from? You put your kitchen and dining where mine is on the cc free house, but used more of the space for kitchen while I used more for dining room. Yours looks a bit more sensible.

Amy, your kitchen looks great! So cute and homey, and I've always loved dark blue and white rooms.
Question: I wanted to move the front door slightly to the left of its original location, but in order to do that I had to place foundation in front of it, so I just extended the existing by a few squares. The walls didn't change, though, so is that okay?

Thanks both! ;D Jo, most of the kitchen-y stuff (including the mugs) is buggybooz Shakerlicious Kitchen recoloured, which is in turn linked to their Kitchen Basic Set (not sure if the white is on there or done by someone else), and the tables, chairs, etc are all iCad. I'm obsessed with iCad's wood colours now, they make everything match! I originally had the dining room bigger as well, but the table looked a bit lost in mine, so I moved the wall and arch further back in the end. Lorin, I'm not sure about where foundations fit into the rules, I don't *think* it's allowed, but as usual I'll double check with Jo. *edit* Jo, I've just re-read the first post, does this round close next week or tomorrow? Because the first post says the 22nd.

modelmgmt, there don't seem to be any pictures in your post... I'm disappointed, because I really want to know what the teapot picture sees every day.

I've only posted pics once before and I had to research how to do it again. Anyway they're numbered on Photobucket the same as they are in my post, just out of order.

Hmmm... You're using the "IMG code"?
If you are, the only thing I can think of is that maybe you uploaded the pictures, posted a link, and then sorted them into the album? If you sorted them into the album before you posted the links, I'm baffled...

I re-copy-pasted the codes and everything

modelmgt, this board has a problem with pictures (sometimes) that are on sub/ sub boards on photobucket. So say your main page is modelmgt Pictures and you make a sub album called 'Sims" and another sub album of that called "DD house contest" your dd house contest pictures have a chance of showing up as deleted or moved on here. Sometimes it only has to be a sub board for it to have a tanny. So if they are in a sub/sub album try moving them up one step to just a sub album and if not you may have to put them on your main page. Sorry we don't know why the board does this- we never could figure it out, only we know that it happens. I'm the first one this happened to way back when and we figured it out by moving the pictures around photobucket and they would appear and disappear depending which album I moved them too. I know it's a pain, sorry.
Lorin. No sorry you're not allowed to place any more foundation then what the house comes with, that's rule number one.
Amy, due to all the computer troubles I extended it a week, do people still need that?

Would I have to go in and re-copy-paste the url for each picture, or would it work to just move them on Photobucket?

Once you move any picture on photobucket it breaks the link to the post, so you need to move them and copy the new line and paste the new line in for them to show up.
Amy, thanks for the links. So that means I have to have the other set for this one to show up? I keep coming across that, but I really don't like the original set she has on MTS. *sigh* Wish people wouldn't do that.

I think the only entries we're missing (if they're putting an entry in) are Ashley, Pixx, and your TS3 one, Jo. Other than that I think we're all in? You need the counter from the original kitchen set because that's the master file, but that should be it, I think. Can't wait to see your entry when the links are fixed, modelmgt!
