Aw Jo, I hate to hear about your mum too!  My own mother is getting pretty bad memory-wise but I don't think she realizes to what extent, and my dad's having trouble too. @amylu I checked e-mail and saw the LJ notification for your birthday about a week late soo . . . Happy Birthday! Just got done putting together a photo-thing highlighting some of the stuff I've done with the F&F version of Strangetown's (previously)untouched premades. It covers things with Johnny Smith and the 3 Grunt Bros. House Curious only has 2 in college, and Smith is the only one currently without a custom dorm. I'm about to copy it all and share it here if anyone's interested. One of these days I'll actually get back to F&Fs. Got too many ideas swirling around in my skull to abandon them, the least of which is all the cool name ideas for this gen! My mum is stable enough, so long as she is on her meds although she has some mild dementia. She is 90 this year though so all things considered she isn't nearly as bad as some.
My contest is half way through, it's been so popular it's keeping me very busy.

Wow, where to even start.. I think the last thing I talked about were work issues so.. Welp, as of April 2017 I lost my job; i got fired because rather than upper management dealing with said issues properly(and the people behind them), I was labeled a troublemaker and disrespectful for not wanting to work in the environment being created and they dealt with ME.  But far as I'm concerned I no longer have the stress and the harassment, and they still have those losers working for them, who have a history of running people off/getting them fired and what they did to me they'll eventually start doing with someone else. However I have simply traded off stressors and am still unemployed. I started off trying to get work through a workforce center here but they keep giving me postings for stuff I either have said I do not want, or am not qualified for. I only don't want it if I've done a kind of work before and know it is not going to be a good fit, essentially. I need to get into something this time with the potential to stay in it for the long haul. I have tried applying for unemployment and was turned down because they're saying I quit. I have given them 3 pieces of paper signed by management from that last job stating that I was fired and was told to leave; this is mind-boggling.  I have been through 2 levels of appeal since, sending in EIGHT PAGES worth of examples showing that the job and people involved safety issues as well as morality issues, because they claimed in one letter that I had not shown how these things existed. Of course they never asked for it before. I am trying for another appeal as we speak, and there is a department somewhere that's about to vote on whether to revisit the case. Otherwise I'm told I won't even be able to find out why they decided the way they did before(deciding that I quit). Sigh. On top of things, my tablet got stolen and I'm not even sure how I lost it. I took it out of the house originally to charge it while I house-sat for family, and I know I made it out the door with it, because I was watchful on the way to the car. It's not in the house, it's not in the car(I've been all over it looking and there aren't many hiding places for it to go anyway), and it's not been turned in to the apartment offices. So far I know that it hasn't been pawned and there's been no activity on it(did I mention it had next-to-no charge left when it was lost and the cords are hard to find?). The police haven't been able to locate it, and both the phone co. associated with it and Samsung are on the lookout for anyone doing anything funny with it. Best I can hope for at this point is that somebody gets arrested WHEN they try to pawn it or call in to Samsung for help with it. I made the call to the phone company today to deactivate it, so if the thief had trouble getting it switched on before they REALLY will now! Now the trouble will be if the tablet turns up BECAUSE it got deactivated. The deactivation itself doesn't have to be permanent, but if Tablet is found it has to be my Uncle(who fired me and went up against me at the appeal hearing)who re-activates it. At this point he does not even know it's missing and I prefer to keep it that way if Tablet is never recovered.  Update 11-29-2017: I rescued all of my photos off of photobucket and am trying Imgur presently as a place to upload them to online. So far it's been really easy to work with. I am therefore going around to both DD and Boolprop fixing my signature and photo-posts.  Life Stuff:Job situation has not changed since last update but still keeping an eye out with the local workforce organization as I'm out of ideas. Have been turned down for all assistance programs essentially because I'm not broke enough and I don't have children who need the help. I'm also currently working on another unemployment benefits appeal which is in its opening stages of them deciding whether or not they want to re-open it. I now have an imgur home page! Some things are public, some are only available when I share them, but all were the things I had on Photobucket. Oh wow, that's terrible! Here's hoping things sort themselves out for you, if they haven't already. I'm still unemployed. It's been about 2 1/2 years since I started looking for a proper job after uni.
Recently there was family drama involving my step-grandfather and him almost dying. He's had a hard time of it these last few years, having to endure multiple surgeries, chronic pain, and more recently heart and lung issues. My sister recently returned to Australia from Canada where she was working, because of this. It's nice to have her back, but she had to cut her work short.
Is anyone still p[laying Sims 2 or is it just me? Also, is Sims 4 worth getting into? I tried the demo on Origin, but is the real thing worth it?
