Whoa! I didn't see that one coming at all. What a horrible, horrible day she's had, learning harsh truths about her mom, and now this unfortunate, brutal incident.
Alcoholism and rape are such sensitive topics and you handled both so well.
I think this will have far-reaching consequences for everyone. I can see Kraig blaming himself, thinking if he'd gotten there quicker, and Naomi, thinking if she hadn't turned her back on her drink. There'll be so many what ifs and if onlys and too much self hate to pass around. I just hope Naomi and Kraig can work through this. |

Val, I think Naomi is going to have the hardest time just trying to forget about that night! Yeah your right she will blame herself terribly and Kraig... I haven't placed him on his standing yet on how he is feeling. Next post will probably be Friday |

Kristen, What a chapter!
Holy Cow! What a curveball for Naomi! She just realizes she's found the love of her life, and then she has her worst day ever.
I hope she doesn't push Kraig away just when she needs him the most!
You've really written a very difficult event with a lot of sensitivity. Very well done. I sure hope Naomi keeps that councellor appointment she talked to Kraig about! She's going to need it!

Ah man, I was afraid of this. I think Naomi is rushing the healing process. No in fact, she doesn't want to heal, but avoiding it, and trying to act like it didn't happen will just hinder her recovery. I'm glad to see she has a strong support system, but there's only so much Kraig, Denise, or Jake can do to help her. She needs to get to space where she's ready for counseling, as long as it's Kraig pushing this agenda, she won't cooperate.
I don't know why but Denise seems to piss me off with each chapter. I get that the economy is tough, but woman try getting a JOB, instead of sneaking behind your best friend's back! No wonder Blane's out to get her.
It was such an emotional chapter.
I have to ask, does Naomi's dad know what happened to her? |

As for Denise she is about to have a wake up call for her in the next chapter  *evil grin* And yes her father knows but he won't make an appearance until the chapter 8 and then in Chapter 9 he is going to make a few people angry... She has seen her father since the attack and he is worried about her but it really didn't fit with the story line but it shows in Chapter 8 |

I didn't think it was short. Why must people enrage me today? first Jackie and now Blane!
He seems like he just wants custody to be an ass! Their son is how old now? She had been taking care of him on her own this long, the hell makes him think he can do better?

Just a year old. Blane doesn't know all about the diaper changing the feeding the amount of time it takes to raise a child. But Denise couldn't raise Dean on her own if it wasn't for Kraig letting her live there. She has been trying but she hasn't been trying hard enough. I think after Chapter 8 is done she will be begging people for a job. once again evil grin. Blane isn't doing it to be a butt head though he loves his son, but he doesn't realize that he has to change his lifestyle (like women) to raise him. Blane is also doing this because his parents want him to. |

"Now that was just Creeeeepy, Kraig" That had me cracking up lol AND OMG... Poor Denise!!! I can't believe she got drunk had drunk sex and now is pregnant with Blane's kid!!!! OMG Poor Denise!!! I don't like Blane. I do hope he takes responsibility for his kid though My my, Naomi!! She really needs help! I can't believe that Kraig lets her spiral out of control like that. I LOVE that they kissed (how hot is he?!?) I know the awkward friend sex is going to distant them a little, but I hope he can talk some sense into her and get her to stop partying so much! She is starting to remind me of LiLo! the rest of my comments are on your blog because I can't post again for 15 minutes lol |

Ugh! Stupid Blaine! I can't even speak I'm so mad!
Oh, Naomi, I was afraid that would drag her back into alcohol - Thank God Kraig went to find her!
So much to sort through, she's really going thru all the stages of grief. I'm so glad she finally let Kraig in at the end. (The right way!) Now she can start to really heal.
Daijahv, I'm sorry you're still having that problem - since I've posted, you should be able to post now, as it won't be a double post. I sure wish I could fix that! |

haha I am glad you are liking it Daijahv Yeah that was one of my favorite parts... the fish thing. O yes it is sad that Denise's first baby was with a guy she would never love. I thought about going back into a flash back of that night to see how it all went down. But I think It will be better just to leave it up to the imagination. Jilly Oh yes Naomi has a long way to heal but still has a while to go. Chapter 8 will deal more with her healing process and we will see how things go for Denise as far as her son goes. I'm still hoping to have it out Tue but we will see because I start classes back |

I was happy to see that chapter 7 was up! I have been so busy lately I needed time to unwind and catch up on some reading. So here are my comments. I was extremely sad to see her hopping back on the wagon so soon after what had happened, the last thing I would do if i were rapped was go back out to a bar or a club! I also hope that she realizes that hiding behind alcohol won't heal her wounds and a big WTF to Blane, seriously dude, you need a court to tell you to see your child? Glad that he thinks that the court will see that as being a concerned parent, never in a million years will he get custody of that child! She might not have a job, but she has a place to live and her child is taken care of, on the other hand you have a man who has a job, but has had nothing to do with his child, is being verbally and emotionally abusive to the mother, hmm thats a no brainier, I don't care how good of a lawyer you are, any judge to rule other wise outta be slapped. I think that you captured the emotions and the fears that are always present after rape quite well, though sex between these two seems to always leave a lingering awkward effect, I think it is best if they both just slow down a little, Naomi really needs to give herself some time to heal before jumping into bed even with Kraig or into alcohol for that fact. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt!  |

See I was trying to play the genetics. haha. But she is now starting to lean on Kraig to heal and it will be a long process but I think we will see her slowly fall apart before things get any better for her. I am trying to get chapter 8 out as soon as I can. I have been busy. Plus I really want to get the chapter of Judging Love out before I get out chapter 8. I know both should be out by the end of the week. That is if everything plays out the way I want it too. |

~ I think it will take a long time to heal from this & alcohol is not the fix-it she needs,no matter how drunk, she will remember, only time can heal this,and good friends that stand by you!
~ I can not believe a man who walks out on a woman,when she has told him she is going to have his baby,then come back after all she has been through with-out a partners help,to want to claim that baby as his,he walked away from his responsibilities in the first place,so what is he doing now?Is he in a relationship where his partner can not have children,& he knows were he can get one,even though he has never been a true father to him in the first place,he is a stranger to that child! |
