Well, I can't stand playing with babies for more than one day. If I can't age the brat up as soon as I want, then I'll happily take my name off the list of players...lol Jill, everytime I've purchased that award, I was able to choose from a list of ALL the traits as far as I recall. Either way, it doesn't feel like cheating to me as long as you only change ONE trait as your optional one, what's the difference? Ah well, it doesn't matter to me either way. If I end up with mostly bad traits, then that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I was just saying on my glitch thread, that you better take it to a vote, and those of us who do wait for the pop up should gain a point or something.
Also I want to know where the rule about only three of the kids going to heir poll comes from as I just re read Pinstars rules and don't see it there. This better not have come from Sawyer or I may box his ears.

I think that the idea of the people who wait until the baby's pop up getting an extra point is a good compromise. Also, I saw the poll. I think limit 5 kids, since that's the most required to fulfill a LTW.

I would be happy with that, although I still think it's a shame not to include them all if there happens to be more.

?? Well I don't think we should have a limit on how many kids people have in the game. Although there could be a limit for heir poll. I was just thinking if somebody went and had twins or triplets on birth three it could easily be more kids and it would be a shame to not include one. I think most of us wouldn't want more than five anyway. I'm only trying again because I got three boys.

That's a good point. I will retract my vote for 5 kids and say include them all. If I played a legacy I wouldn't have more than 2 or 3 kids. What the heck are you to do w/ all those Spares!? I couldn't leave them in limbo, like some do.

This better not have come from Sawyer or I may box his ears. I haven't noticed anything about a limit of three kids. All I saw in our rules is that each heir has to give birth three times and that having twins or triplets only counts as one birth. As for the baby to toddler thing: I could care less about points. I didn't even know we were playing for points, so y'all can take all mine and divide them up amongst yourselves. I'm not counting points because I signed up for this thing to have fun, NOT to get a headache from lengthy discussions, counting points, etc. Hopefully I'll get my butt busy and get my games reinstalled soon. I still haven't gotten around to doing that yet.

Well I don't know about anybody else, but this time I was playing for points. I don't normally, but I thought it might be fun for a change. In sawyers first post he said this: I don't know where he came up with that, but it goes against slandered legacy play. I don't want to hurt his feelings, but that isn't a rule that I'm happy with. P.S Sorry if my posts have been a bit 'short' lately. I don't know why, I'm just cranky. Maybe it's the impending teachers visit combined with DD attitude.

In all the legacies I've read, I've always seen 3 kids in the heir vote, but I've never played one & don't have a clue what the rules are. I think 3 is a good number, so maybe as a minimum? If you don't choose a trait right away, like it's mentioned above that you can wait until the heir is chosen to add the "Family" trait, how do you go back and add a trait to the blank spot? That's what I meant by the testing cheat - that's the only way I know to go back in and add a trait if the sim is missing one. I think the points is a good way to rule about the baby birthday. If I have to wait for the pop up at two days, that's fine. I can always blow thru most of those days on speed 3 as long as the other sims in the house don't mind. I don't give a hoot about the points, either, but I'll certainly play by the rules. I just want to have a bunch of fun. If I get points - cool. If not, I will get grief councelling and try to move forward with my meaningless life. Hope the teacher visit goes well, Jo!

The only kind of legacies that have to have three are Alphabet legacies and OWBC's. Normal 10 generation legacies normally have 2 + as many as people want.

Actually, Jo, I agree that we should have the choice of putting more than three kids into the heir polls. I don't know how I missed that in Sawyer's post, but since you know where it is, you are welcome to modify the post to amend it.

So it's a minimum of 3 births (regardless of how many kids that produces) but all children are eligible, right?
