Anyone else watch this show? I'm here to tell you it's freaking AWESOME! I find especially awesome because of Ian Somerhalder, who used to play Boone on 'Lost'. God...he's so SMEXY, especially as a bad-boy vampire! The more I watch this show, the more I love it!

Here's an interesting link to a page where Ian talks about getting the role. After watching it tonight, I thought to myself that I bet he has a lot of fun playing that role and... I was right!

Oh man, that guy is so HOT as a vamp! He said something amusing on last night's show. Last time, he had turned a girl into a vamp and she was going a bit crazy wanting some blood. Well, the guy's brother is a vamp who lives on only animal blood and he was trying to teach the chick to do it his way.

Damon, the bad vamp, said, "She's a new vamp and needs human blood to survive." Then his brother told him that she can't just go around killing people.

Damon said, "You don't have to kill anyone. Just find someone tasty and then erase their memory!"

Oh man, I LOVED it! ;D

I read the Vampire Diaries books years ago, and have seen the trailer, but as I don't have a TV, I haven't seen the shows yet. Got to admit though, Damon>>>>Stefan. My friend killed Stefan off in her fanfic, you know, for the good of the Damon fangirls.

I saw the 1st episode & wasn't impressed. I thought it was a "One Tree Hill" caliber Twilight ripoff. (though technically Vampire Diaries were written 1st) Then with the world series on, "Bones", what I usually watch was off, so I tuned in again & was pleasantly surprised. It's on the CW network, and it's new on Thursday nights here, with a catch up on Wed.

I wanted to like it because I was a Boone fan, too. Last night sold me - I don't think I'l be watching Bones anymore. Damon is awesome!!! He's everything a bad boy vamp should be!

Ya darned right he is, Jill! *swoon* At first, when you dissed it, I was going to go into my schpeal about how Twilight, the movie anyway, totally blew in my opinion, and that The Vampire Diaries has that beat to crap...lol, but, you redeemed yourself there at the end!

I, actually, wasn't all that impressed with the very first episode either, but I have DVR, so I watch Bones, and record Vamp Diaries to watch later. But... last night definitely sealed the deal! I LOVED the comment he made about "... find someone tasty, and just erase their memory!" and I love the fact that his actions resulted in that stupid girl's death! lol I could NOT stand her!

New Moon, looks better from the trailers than the first movie did. I have the books, but still haven't read them. I'm sorry, I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of sparkling vampires. I could even live/deal with that if the movie had at least let us seem some FANGS! I have no reason to believe that bunch even HAS any fangs!

I'll get dh to go with me to see New Moon. He's not as big a supernatural fan as me, but he likes it too.

I liked when Boone told that stupid girl that he made her because he was bored. And then when Elena was slapping him because he had no guilt, and he kept telling her that she was wasting her time because he just didn't care, but the best was when he told her she'd better run! Now THAT's what a vamp should be! I'm SO glad I gave this show a second chance! (but it's still no True Blood!)

Don't tease me Jilly...............we still have no 'True Blood!', though I did ask Aaron to get the DVD set of season one, for my birthday,..........I just did not state which YEAR!

I've never had the chance to see 'True Blood' either. Hopefully someday. Yeah, this show is more like something you can sit down with your kids and watch, unlike 'True Blood'...lol

Hehehe... I liked all those parts too, Jill! That girl is sort of stupid too. If I had a hot vamp or two that liked me, I'd say, "Oh baby, I wanna be one with you!" ;D

I just hope that Damon (that's his name on this show, not Boone...lol) didn't do something to 'preserve' that stupid girl. She got just what she deserved and I hope she's gone and doesn't come back again!
