How did I miss this? Another awesome update Tina. I was scared out of my wits for Nellie with all those electricity bolts even though I've seen it a dozen times in my game. Somehow I always think, that's the end of my sims and then they surprise me and live through the horror! Guess the next update will be on LJ huh? Can't wait.

Wow! I missed a bunch! So now this is going to be in slideshare on LJ? How are you putting your pics into Word?

Yep. It's going up onto LJ now! To put pics into word, Jill, all you do is hit the 'insert' button and then the 'picture' button. Then you browse to the picture you want and voila! you have pics in your document.

I wish I had written these up in Word to start with. It would have made this transition much easier and quicker.

Hey everyone! I'm posting to let you know that most of the segment of this story have been doubled up and merged into longer chapters. They are on LJ now as slideshare presentations.

I am currently working on my new segment, which will be merged with segment thirteen to make chapter 8. the links to the new versions are posted in the first post in this thread on page one if you're interested in viewing them. I have made a few minor changes, although they won't affect the flow of the story so far. I just had to add text to pictures that didn't have any and add a bit more text to some of the frames,etc.

Anyhow, the main point of this is that I'm almost done redoing things and now I can start working on the NEW stuff again!

Now if you've caught up, you will notice the first part of this looks famaliar, but I have added/changed a couple of things, so you may want to go ahead and read that too. The second half is totally new!

It's been a long, annoying process, but all the chapters are on LJ now... Phew.. I am going to change the name of this thread and move it into the story section soon.

I just read ch 7 again, and didn't realize it was our good friend Edith who sent poor Nellie on that quest thru the hedge maze! Ain't she a looker? How did I miss that?

I love the picture on your cover page that shows Nellie's pants on fire! I didn't notice that before! This is why we love her so!

Off to read ch 8! (and I guess I should squeeze eating lunch in there somewhere, since it's my lunch hour! Lol!)

Damn woman, don't rush me! There's only seven chapters so far! The newest segment is the second half of chapter seven. I do have the pics and everything needed for chapter eight, but it hasn't been put together yet. I may be able to have it up by tomorrow though.

If not, it will be the day after, for sure. I spent the WHOLE weekend working on organizing this thing to put it into proper chapters. I may need a little break soon...lol I haven't actually played my game in DAYS! I think I am having withdrawal symptoms.

I hear THAT! Lol! Rotten DH and his birthday...wanting my attention. The nerve! I'm glad to see I just got the numbers confused - I thought I'd missed something!

I noticed the smaller print in the slideshare - is that because there's a word limit to each page? I wondered about that but keep forgetting to ask. I thought I saw a post like that somewhere, where someone ended up with unreadable text because it was cut off. By changing font size, did you avoid that?

Hmmm, I didn't notice that because I haven't read over it completely after uploading it. Do you mean the text size changes during the story?

I gotta go look now.

It looks just like it did it Word. If you are talking about the difference in text size from her to slideshare, that is just because I used different font in Word than what is used here. The very first chapter is copied from here and pasted into Word from the main view page. I noticed then that the font was sort of big and bold and I didn't like it..lol

So then, I went into 'modify' mode to copy the text from here. That way, when I pasted it into Word, it went as the style I had picked in Word, rather than the style on this site.

I knew nor have heard nothing about people having font problems with slideshare. I guess I'm lucky not to have had any...lol

I have re-read, or should I say looked at (as it was the pics that would not show!) The mummy was awesome, as that is one of the pics that refused to show! So I am all caught up with all the pics on your lovely slideshare, I am so glad you are doing this,the story is awesome, & Nellie is endearing to say the least! I will be back for more,thanks Tina!
