??ERROR 16 save,next stop blue lots??

OK,since totally patching my game,up to date,some really weird things are happening!

~A~ I have game bloat~
~B~ I have FIVE saved games all the same number?I look inside my saves folder & understand why! And inside my saves folder, I have folders of saves, plus saves of saves! (Windows alerted me to it & compiled it into folders!saying it was actually clogging up my PC!)

~ Why is my game doing all these saves??

~PS~ If you remind me how to print-screen again I will get pics!but it is not pretty!

You got me there, Karima. I have NO CLUE about this one. You're going to have search elsewhere for answers unless someone here besides me knows anything about it.

I wish I was techy. Could you manually just get rid of the extras? Are there any posts on the exchange about it?

To take a print screen press the print screen button then go to paint and press CTRL V to paste it in. Then crop it, save as and upload the picture to photobucket then copy paste it in here.

;D As far as I know it was an WA update that did this!(A different way the game saves!) it was supposed to be fixed, but I don't think so!I think the fix made it worse!

~ The first time I looked at my saves, I felt like deleting them all, but which ones, was the problem!

I don't know what you mean by 'which one do I use?'. All I see in that thread is instructions for saving your games. I would follow those instructions and try that. It should get rid of all that extra crap and save the correct version of your current games.

Well, I don't think I have the very newest patch because it came out after HEL stuff and after the crap I went through to get my stuff back after installing WA, I didn't want to chance going through all that mess again...lol

But, that save problem was supposed to have been addressed in one of the patches, so I don't know why it happened to Karima.

LOL@Jill! There's no need to back away in terror. The post's intructions include making a backup of your saved games folder before trying it, so if something goes wrong, you haven't lost a thing.

Burying your head in the sand won't save you and won't stop it from happening to you if it's going to. Karima always has weird crap happening in her game, though, so hopefully it's an isolated incident. *crosses fingers*

;D So I did what it said, but ended up with only two saves,& everything else was missing! But everything was working perfectly!(duh! I forgot to put the save folder back) but I did get rid of all the saves excess crapolla & I have not had a crash or an error 16 save! but the game is choppy(could be the missing save files!) I am going in to see if every thing is were it should, as straight after patching I lost Riverview!(WERE MY Hobo's are at!) I have been reading stuff for three of four days now trying to find out what has made my game bloat,which makes it lag!but basically it is poor design & programing, & everything being saved three times every time you save this game!There are other reasons too,but it is to do with the way they set up the this game!

~PS~ My problems could stem from me not allowing the EA installer to install, but when I last patched it was installed? I have not allowed it, as it carries & installs the new version of securom! And yes it has been confirmed that if you have Sims 3 you also have that newer version installed! that's why lots of people were not using the launcher, as they thought it was installing sercurom! Well the culprit is the EA installer tool that comes with the Sims 3!not the launcher!
