??ERROR 16 save,next stop blue lots??

Welcome come to my world Karima, remember everytime I moan about my game just shutting down? That actually happens when I save. Sometimes I save using "Save As" and other times " Save" but I'll get error code 12 & 16 randomly and the game will just exit to the desk top. When I go into my saves my latest progress won't be there and I'd have to use a work around to retrieve old saves which would mean whatever progress I'd made that day would be gone. So what I do now, I save and if I'm lucky and it does save without shutting down, I quickly minimize the game, go to my "saved games folder", copy my game folder and save it elsewhere on my PC so that when the game does shut down randomly I still have the most up to date progress. I know it doesn't answer your question, but I just thought I'd share my frustration with error code 12 and 16. And I have patched my game too, but it's like you said, poor designing of the game.

;D Thanks Val, I know exactly how you feel, & if I do find the answer to this you will be the first to know! (Don't forget cache files also go astray in this game too,I have got into the habit of clearing those out,especially when it seems a bit laggy!)

So far the game seems OK, & I have recovered my LOST games(my Hobo family/DD challenge!)I guess it was all the saves,so I will keep an eye on that, I just got kicked from the game but this is not the games fault but my Internet servers fault as yet again my PC is telling me I have little or no Internet connection & to repair the connection!This is a very regular thing,& is P ing me off! I hate Telstra!

I haven't heard a word about this securom issue, Karima. Do you have links to where you found the info?

Certain CC can make your game slow to load and choppy as well. I have installed several things from the TS3 store that I got from links at MATY and some of those files are borked and make my game choppy and load slowly. Once the content is removed/replaced by and unborked file, everything works fine again. Not using the EADM has NOTHING to do with the problems in your game because I haven't used it to download any content for months and my game is fine.

As a matter of fact, the EADM isn't even installed on my computer at all right now. It'll probably be installed whenever I get a new expansion, etc.

Fringe is AWESOME! I LOVE that show! Peter and Olivia would make a good couple. They may get together someday... who knows?

;D Terminator the Sarah Chronicles came on after Fringe & I promptly fell asleep!

~ In the promos,those two are kissing & getting intimate, so I would say yes they do make a good couple, & I Adore Fringe! I look forward to it every week, Chuck just started,so I don't know yet if it is a fav or not!it seems a bit slow for me!& guess what was promoting Fringe? the new second season of "True Blood" (out on DVD!)

~PS~ Did you see Sims 3 is bringing out a pattern creation tool! so everyone can make their own!

So, what I did was a temporary fix, as it has happened again, I consistently saved, but just got anouther error code 16! So, do I have to fix it every few days if I want to play???

~ I went to saves & deleted the file with bad on it, but there is all these saves AGAIN,with read-me's?? The read-me, is full,like a couple of pages full!

~ I really think this game is TOO much hassle!

Gez, Karima and Val! That is just crazy!!! I wonder if it's a cc problem, as when I had similar issues, it turned out it was a bad cc hair. Once I pulled it out in a random divide and conquer elimination, everything worked great again. Maybe you should try that, divied half the cc, and play, etc.

PS, I LOVE Chuck (NBC on Mondays, but the season is over here) And tonight is our Fringe season finale - on the commercials, you hear Olivia tell Peter they belong together! I hope it works out!!!

I'm enjoying reruns of season 2 for True Blood - season 3 starts June 15th, I think. I just got the new Sookie Stackhouse book from the library today.

Actually, Karima, I don't see the post you are talking about. Your link goes to a page with much newer posts, but at the very top of this page:

it is stated that ONLY the downloaded version has Securom. The disc version only has a basic disc check to make sure you have a legal copy of the game.

Dang Karima, I have NO CLUE why that is happening to you because I haven't had a single issue like yours. I think it's possible that a certain file of CC or something could be causing your problem, although that's only a guess on my part. It really sucks for you, though.

I think that maybe you should try playing for a bit in a new game without cc to see if it still happens.

I'm still waiting for my copy of True Blood, season two to be sent to me. It isn't released until the 25th. I can't wait for it to get here! I'm bummed, though, because after I've seen that, I'll have to wait a LONG time to able to watch season three!

DH and I are talking about maybe getting HBO after Season three is over and watching it on "On Demand". We'll only pay for a month or two, but be caught up!
I can't WAIT until the 25th! it's #1 on our Netflix!

;D I do know that I have to update some CC for HEL,as I have the no more privacy mod,& that is one that has to be updated! the ones that don't work or need up dating have updates,but I never thought about the hair! The NEW hood I'm in,is not overrun with CC as it is new,but I do find that some of the men (too much actually) have crew cuts,& that only happens when they have been assigned CC hair,& then it's gone!for some reason!Also my stuff from Maty got taken away with,the new patch, so I bought them,but they don't show either,no matter how many times I re-install them & yes I took all the Maty stuff out first!) I think I may start from no CC & put it back in slowly,or at least the little I have in this hood! I have read that Re-installing the game does not help this!I still have not taken any of my Sims on holiday yet because of the Blue lots occurring on return,I do not have any of that bad CC in any more,but I may have over looked it, as I culled all the Lemoncandy CC when it first happened(the BAD CC!)There was a printed list of all bad CC!

~PS~On a brighter note! Jilly, it's a boy! twice! One is normal skinned & red hair,with grey? eyes & the other is blue skinned & blue haired,with blue eyes! I have taken tons of pics!How neat is that!I will send the happy grandma some pics if you like! PSST! they want more!
EDITED:to change coloring of babies! .............I gave up as they both swapped on turning toddler!
