Sorry for the delay - my boss got chatty at lunch time & sucked up all MY time! (but, since she's the boss, I smiled and chatted. I knows who butters my breadz!  ) Anyway, here's more of Juni's Ambitions!  To finish off the laundry issue, Here's Juni throwing in her first (and last) load of wash. She gathered the clothes from the bathroom hamper first & carried them down to the workshop.  You have the option of using a dryer, or hanging clothers on the clothesline. (you get an extra good moodlet if you use the clothesline.) They don't hang things individually, just click-poof, it's hung. They come down the same way. You get a moodlet from clean clothes and sleeping on clean sheets. I don't need no stinkin' moodlet, so the washer, dryer, and clothesline all went bye bye. I don't like to do my OWN laundry, ya know? NOw, in that tutorial that Jo linked, you can see the laundry mat, where you can meet random sims waiting for the spin cycle, so that's not so bad. For that scenario, you just need the hamper. Moving on....  That night, I had a neighbor do a walk by & figured I'd start making some friends for Juni. This is Cherish Curious. I was all excited to think that maybe I could get Juni married into the Curious family, so I followed her home and met the rest of the family...  Daughter Bunny  Husband Marshall and son Notzo. (ha ha ha) This is NOT the Curious family I want my Juni to marry into. I decide to head into town the next day & get her a nice makeover, in the hopes of finding her a nice guy.  Here's the Salon/tatoo parlor. Since Juni got hers in CAS, there was no need to visit the creepy, sub-basement tatoo parlor.  This guy was at the front desk, and wouldn't look up from his book. This is one more of the AMB hairstyles. Juni has one, and Justin Kayes in the first batch has one, too.  Juni walks to the back on her own, and gets onto one of the style platforms. While two stylists argue over her new look, Juni patiently waits for her transformation. The only option given was for "makeover". (I don't know if that changes)  I was hoping for some hair, but all I got was this lovely "soccer mom" ensemble. SO not keeping this. I went to another podium, and selected to do my own makeover.  I gave her a different AMB hairstyle, and a new shirt that shows off her cool, inventor vibe.  (And her back Tat)  Next, we hit the consignment shop to drop off some inventions. It's run by a hippy chick who lives in on a next door lot. It's a little one-room cabin with an outhouse and lots of sunflowers. I was sure I had a pic of it, but I guess it didn't make it to PB.  She's sporting one of the new hairs. Next, before we head home, one more stop at a scrap yard to pick up some more scrap for inventing!  Hello, washing machine! What's that? I have the option to DETONATE you??? Let me think about it...  he he heee. You can find all kinds of furniture and objects here, out in the open and while digging. You can either take them home, sell them, or as you've already seen, give them the BIGBOOM. At this stage, you get this option for most everything. My bathtub, my loveseat, etc. If you choose the BOOM, you are left with collectable scrap units.  From Juni's house in the swamp, she can view the lovely Toxic Falls. Yup, they're green. And glowie. I'm too impatient to wait for Juni to meet a worthy townie, so I make a trip to CAS, where I have this EX fella.  His name is Joseph Astral, but since I was so bitterly dissapointed by the Curious family, I decide to change his name to Astral Curious. Yeah, I know. But who's gonna tell on me?  I set him to work to get one of the new jobs. With Juni's constantly flaming pants, I thought we'd try Fireman. Here's Astral driving the BIG truck! Woot!  Quick, Juni! Call the Fire Dept! But no one is coming! WHere could they be?   After that epic fail, I exited with no save. Astral rolled a want for (yawn) Businessman. Not. Gonna. Happen. He has the LTW of the logic/handyman max-out, so while I figure out what to do with him, I have him start skilling.  After a while, Juni got over being mad about being left to burn to death (TWICE MORE) while Astral the Playa flirts with the girls at the FD. She decides to join him and help him skill up.  They hit it off, and decide to find the local bar. (I can't remember the name, but it was also in that link from JO - The Red Dragon? The Red Snake? Some Red serpent-type thingy.)  Bathrooms are downstairs, and there's no bartender. *boo. You can get your own drinks, or make them for others if you so choose.  They play some foosball, then decide to hit the dance floor & meet some locals.  Milly & Dilly Pidgin.  Blaize something-punny (I swore I wrote it down somewhere!)  Shark Raquet. He was drinking with his brother, who left. His name was Dennis.  Seriously.  They finally hit it off enough to go steady. Maybe now he'll put out her pants. o_0  While Juni works on her inventing table, (in another new hairstyle from AMB)  Astral works on his new ride, The Beast. (courtesy of AMB.) Souping it up really is an option, and so is...  Riding it. (take THAT lame-butt HEL Piano!)  Aside from dropping things off to sell at the consignment shop, you can also buy them. Juno bout this music box with a spinning Gnome inside! He really spins when you open it, and you have to wind it! Too cool! She also just bought one with a mummy inside, but I didn't get a pic yet.  Juni made many new inventions, only some of which have a use. She made a Harvester, which you'll see later.  The last thing she made was a Time Machine!!!! It's like the cave - a rabbit hole, I guess they call them - where you don't get to see anything, you just get messages about what's going on. When she finished this, I got a pop up that said she'd invented everything there was to invent. I'm sorry? I don't think so, Jack. Juni wants a robot!!!  Juni selected to travel to the future. (you can also go to the past) She got some pop-ups, which I forgot to upload, but the best part was, she came back with a book about ROBOTS. Yeah, Baby!  She got an opportunity from the Science Center to give a lecture on how technology can help us with our lives, then was told she needed to collect 10 life fruits to bring back to get a top secret reward. She read the robot book, then I immediately started her skilling on gardening.  In the meantime, Astral got a logic opportunity to go to China & solve a riddle, so I gave them some time off for a destination wedding.    Now Juni's officially a Curious! Yay me! I mean, Yay, Juni! With that out of the way, I sent Astral to work on his quest, and Juni to gather fruits for her new garden. Meet, THE HARVESTER>>>  Juni took this bad boy to the Orchard and cleaned house!  Back home, Juni plants a garden with the help of the collection helper lifetime award - what a FABULOUS thing - I've never used it before! Here's hoping for some life fruit to bring me some tasty robot goodness... Astral lovingly upgrades all her sprinklers to self-water. Awww. Since they live in a swamp surrounded by water, I decided to let Astral try his hand at fishing. He caught a Great Goldfish, so I bought a bowl & let him keep it. Like any boy, he promptly forgot about his want, and stopped feeding poor Dora.  Juni sent Dora to Toxic Falls via the commode. She even waved to her as she swirled away. Awww.  Juni decides to take a break and play on the new trampoline she bought at the consignment shop. Check out that height! And I finally decided on a career for Astral. He's going to be...  A Sculptor! He uses wood...  Metal...  And Finally, Ice.  Mr. Gator has lasted 3 sim days outside so far with no melting.  That's it for now! Hopefully next update will give us the needed life fruit to bring to the Science Center, where they will unlock my secret invention...  Tune in next time and see if Juni gets her wish!!! |

LOL this was funny. I was torn for a favorite part between the pissed off Curious family (they really didn't want to meet Juni) and the wedding place (inside the mouth of a giant dragon at the edge of a cliff).

Ya gotta love those Rabbit holes! (I see a pattern emerging!) ~ I Walked all the way to the Shop!Yesterday! (no cane! Yeah! Me!)To get my AMB,but they were sold out, I explained that I had bribed myself to make the trek to the shop! So I paid for it,& went home!And literally fell asleep,with exhaustion! Today I got a very cheery phone call, telling me,my AMB was in!(She sounded so happy for me!)Just waiting on my DS to go get it,but hes IN LOVE! with an American!And can't do it till later!LOL!

I've been searching China for a new wedding spot, because I've used Camp Orchid's waterfall to death. I thought Dragon's Maw would be cool, but you have to take the pic from so far away to see it - but you liked it? Good to know!
Poor Karima! I'm so glad it's in today for you - yay!!!
Can't wait to see the PI career, Puddin!
You can share my AMB game, Val! With the Fireman career, you actually HAVE to go to work with your sim, or they miss calls and stuff. (see Juni's flaming pants above! Lol!) While you're there, you can work on the firetruck and do other things while you wait for the alarm to go off. I forgot to check and see if you can SET fires for you before I switched careers for Astral, but as soon as I get a chance, I'll let you know!

I guess they figure the firemen should TCB. If that stupid fire alarm would work right, that might be OK, but now that there's actual "firemen", they have to make the sim drive from the firehouse instead of just appearing at your lot. Once, they got there after poor Juni was a pile of ashes, and he says, "looks like you handled it yourself - be more careful next time." If Juni hadn't been a pile of ashes, I'd have had her kick his butt! I still haven't put my mods folder back in. I'm going to play right now for a bit, so maybe I'll have some new pics soon! I was going to use one of the new hairs on Astral, but I didn't like they way they looked on him. MAybe I'll do it anyway just to show them. In the meantime, I forgot to put these in with the Time Machine post, so...  These are the options I have (so far) when I time travel.  Here's one of the "rabbit hole" messages from while Juni was travelling in the future. |

I don't know, but I make sure to save before they go in, just in case! Lol!  Last night, she got THESE options. At first, I wondered if she had a baby in the past, would it come out grown up. Then I realized it's only "Try" for baby, so I'm guessing she'd just come out pregnant. I sent her to the past last night, and she came back with new clothes...  I'll post more during my lunch break today. |
