Be careful while you are traveling around in World Adventures! Apparently, your sim can screw around, get pregnant, have a kid, and see it practically grown up before ever knowing it!

Most of you know how the stupid game changed Nellie's last name from Blye to Ameen on her last trip to Egypt. Also, she was heartbroken over the death of someone I'd never really heard of. Apparently, Nellie knew him better than I did because the girl you see in the above pic is her daughter with him!

Well, I took Nellie home, changed her name back to 'Blye' and then sent her to France to see what sort of reaction she'd have upon arriving there. For those of you who don't know, Nellie's good friend Francois Lambert died while she was at home before she went to Egypt.

Sure enough, when she got to France, she was heartbroken that Francois was dead. Makes sense, right? Well, I took her to his house to offer condolences or whatever to his family and a little boy invited her in. When I moused over the boy's thumbnail, it said 'son'. THIS is how I discovered the whole thing!

Apparently Nellie had a closer relationship with Francois than I knew because they had a SON together! That's actually when I clicked on Nellie's family tree and found out about the girl in Egypt. It's crazy stuff, I tell you! I have not switched households and left her on her own, so I know it's all bogus, so WTF???

It's crazy stuff, I tell you! Stupid EAxis! I'm just happy that TS3 sims do NOT have memories like TS2 sims, therefore Nellie is oblivious to the whole thing.

;D That does not make sense, at all! Nellie has never been pregnant, & who brings up these children, that Nellie knows nothing about!(that are, apparently, her children!)?

That's CRAZY! And you would think, if the game randomly knocks her up when she travels, that she'd have a Chinese baby. With all the time she spends there, that would be the logical "random" choice if the game is now making these for us.
I wasn't aware it had changed her last name. Was that recent, or did it happen awhile ago?

I haven't had this happen with my WA story sims, as I have traveled the most with them. I wonder if this has something to do with missing patches. They just gave me another one a day or so ago. (I put it in)

You could always write them in, saying that Nellie is going all Angelina Jolie and adopting kids from all over the world... (sorry, probably too soon for that!)

It's bad enough that you have to worry about the guys secretly knocking up random sims, but that your girl sims can be secretly pregenant? And the manual says pregnant sims can't travel. Nellie sure seemed to get around! (I'm sorry, I'm sorry...I can't seem to stop!)

What are you going to do?

Well that makes no sense AT ALL. I can see it if you changed households, although even then it's stupid how they can have kids running around after a few days, but Nellie has never even been pregnant. So total game glitch. I guess the best you can do is ignore it?

I told you my guy impregnated his Egyptian girlfriend. She went home, and the VERY NEXT DAY, I sent him to Egypt and the baby was already a CHILD!!!

I thought that was weird, but the fact that Nellie had two babies you weren't even AWARE of is beyond weird.

Yeah, I was pretty upset. I sent him to Egypt so he could be w/ her for the pregnancy and birth. I get there and there's already a child! It kind of sucked!

It's just a glitch, plain and simple. As far as I know, Nellie hardly even knew the first old guy. When I figured out who she mourning for when she got to Egypt, I found his house and saw the girl's thumbnail there when I moused over it, but she looked like a teen or an adult, so I didn't bother to go there.

Yeah Jo, I agree. I'm pretty much going to ignore it, although I may have to Google search and see if anyone else has had this problem. It could be something that needs or has had a patch out for, but I don't know. I haven't checked into patches lately. I'm about freaking afraid of them now that they are trying to eliminate our ability to have my cc the way I want it.

The name change happened on her last trip to Egypt, the same one in which she apparently gained a kid.

Let us know if you find anything. It seems the latest patch took away the MAXIS hair. The base game hair, the WA hair, all gone. Now my cc hair is all there. The sim I was playing had base game hair, and she played normally until I went to the mirror to change her hair. That's when I discovered it, and Ionce I changed it, I couldn't get back what she had.

Stupid EAxis! They always have to screw up something!

I'm not the only one having random kids. Same thing that happened to Holley happened to at least one other person. The sim shared a first kiss with a foreign sim and the next thing she knew he had a kid with her, not a baby, but a KID!

It's a bug, plain and simple. It's even stupider for it to happen to a FEMALE sim! I mean, you could see a male sim leaving random kids wherever he goes, but if you're controlling a FEMALE sim, how the hell could she have a kid if she's never even been pregnant?

They had a safe guard to this in TS2 remember? You couldn't "try for baby..." with an female unless she was being controlled.

It really is stupid, especially for a controllable Female!

The funny thing is, here's Nellie rejecting hot sexy Frenchmen, but she'll have a kid with a crusty old guy

I know. How ridiculous is that? TWO crusty old guys who are now DEAD!

I don't know, but I do have this super computer hack installed that took away those stupid 'eye candy' sparkles that I also used to take away her 'kids', so she is 'kid free' for now. Who knows if it will happen again. Like I said, it's a good thing that TS3 sims don't have memories like in TS2 because Nellie doesn't know the difference.

Oh, and as for those patches, I haven't touched one since the one that broke everyone's store content. I will not touch another until I am forced to do so by the installation of an expansion or something. Whatever the next expansion is, it better be a GOOD one, or I am liable to skip that too!

I know HEL requires patching before it will install. I don't think there's anything in there that would be worth it, and while I don't hate it, I wouldn't have bought it for myself. If they're doing it for the SP's, I'm sure they'll do it for the EP's.
They just insist on building something fabulous, then tearing it apart.

I'm not going to get HEL, it's so not worth the 20 bucks. Twenty dollars for what? Fifteen items?! I don't think so.

And yes, Tina, if they don't have a GOOD EP next, I'm gonna be pretty pissed.

Yeah, I've decided I'm touching HEL either, at least not until I have gotten the next EP... IF it's a good one. Even if someone gets it for me as a gift, I wouldn't install it and have to deal with the stupid patches that don't seem to actually FIX anything.
