~Sims, Fact or Fiction!~

After read some stories on the EX I noticed that people would ask the same Questions over & over again, so this is about little known facts of Sims & if you know something you can add, that's what this is for, in turn hopefully it will help others!
Just head it with[maroon] Fact or Fiction[/maroon]!


Sims fact of fiction:To create an heir of a particular sex, male or female,if you want a male! the female has to initiate Whoo hoo to make baby! if you want a female, the male has to initiate the Whoo hoo to make baby.

Sims fact:Sparkly food, which shows up after you use home grown produce or fish you have caught! sparkly food can fill a empty hunger bar three times,from empty! so this is a very good option for pregnant Sims, but when you have no choice (for a challenge etc)remember this, Sims love sparkly food! & will not stop eating it till it is all gone!you have to stop them eating when their energy bar is full, otherwise you will have fat Sims!

Sim fiction:Grimmy is a ghost? if it is a ghost then Olive Specter could not have had a baby with him! also he loves to do stuff if the person dies & no-one is at home/or is the last one in the family! he or she will raid the fridge or use the bathroom;ie;use the toilet & not flush or use the bath & leave a ring around the tub, he or she loves to watch the TV as well!

Sim fact:There is more than one Grimmy & they can be male or female!

First one I disagree with..I've seen that disproved many times and read it's a myth about who initiates and what sex you get.

Second one, yes.

Sim Fact: Sims can sleep out in the snow in a bed and not freeze.

First one: I've had it happen that if the female initiates I get more females, and if the male initiates I get more males... Eh...

Second is true.

Fact: the only way to get a baby to be the sex you want is to save right before the baby is born and then exit the game and try again if you got the wrong one. Rinse and repeat until the right gender is born.

The thing with who initiates the woohoo deciding the gender, is just a chance thing.

I know from playing my challenge! There they were on top of the hay beds with snow all around and some snow on them (I think) and on the bed. None of them got really cold. Their temperature gage would go blue then green then blue then green overnight, but no one froze ever. Kids or adults. Only the babies and toddlers had to be inside as my babies did get a cold warning pop up.

Here's a really stupid fact: Outerwear does NOTHING to help a sim's temperature. It doesn't really matter if they wear outerwear or not. I guess EAxis just added it to satisfy OUR needs for people to dress warmly in the winter.

Well Jo, that's good thing to know! I thought maybe they'd freeze outside even in bed in the winter.

Fact: EAxis' stupid coding habits RUINED attic rooms and even broke some of their base game/uni houses because unless there are regular walls up, I guess it counts as outside and your sims get cold/hot just as if they were outside.

???When Seasons came out, I had to remake a lot of the houses because they were all freezing, I thought that if they were going to have weather conditions that they would think of that! but no instead you get warnings that your children are freezing & could get taken away!

Yeah, that really ticked me off too.
I loved some of the OG Maxis houses in the neighborhood and couldn't use them, or had to ALTER them to be truly inside. My favorite was the Craftsmen Pride, or something like that, that had a huga attic room. There was also the 3 bedroom fame house that had the "dormer" rooms

Yea... it broke the crap out of Pleasant's house. That's how I first discovered it...lol. I noticed that Angela was getting colder and colder even though she was in her room. How stupid of EAxis!

:)I know the twins were doing their homework & turning blue, first I tried those round fire places,but that did not work so well so then came the re-building of the roof, which totaly changed the lovely house!

If a pregnant sim eats cheesecake she will have twins.

Yep. EA borked that one because it was only supposed to make it a percentage thing, but it is definite that twins will happen!
