This part concerns me: The Sims 3 is constantly evolving and the development team is always working to provide necessary upgrades to your games. These could include updates due to driver or software changes we want to support, or it can mean full new features for you to enjoy! [glow=red,2,300]Game Updates can also provide you with the newest game code to ensure that you can properly use any official content you have downloaded [/glow]and that you can continue to share the content you have created online.
Does this sound like it might be a problem for cc from places other than EA or TSR?
This part I like: I am guessing we will get a neighborhood tool soon to create our own towns from scratch. Yes we will get it in dec
Yay!!!
Other than that, it sounds like a good idea - to update the base game with EP functions, even if you don't buy it for the content.

Yeah, parts of it bug me too. I like the part about being able to build basements. Hell, they should have put that in the base game and it looks like they finally figured that out! Heck, Jo, I have all the current patches and everything's just fine and dandy so far.

So I should let it update then. Oh well if it goes kabloewee I suppose it's not a huge deal, seeing I don't play it anyways. Except it cost about $80 bucks.

I have all the updates, too. So far, it's let me put all the cc from other places in without a problem. I hope that doesn't stop. The EP comes out Tuesday here, and I know I'll be getting it, but I probably won't actauuly "get it" until Christmas. If you buy it when it first comes out, a lot of places discount it on sale. I didn't see any pre-order specials, but that really doesn't matter with MATY around!

That's so true about those bonuses! I won't likely be getting it until Christmas either. I've decided to hold off so that my family will at least know one thing I want. Heck, when I get expansions, I usually wait forever to install them anyway until I see what unforseen problems they are causing others. Well, now that story is finished and is off my mind (and conscience from keeping y'all hanging for so long...lol), maybe I'll be able to actually sit down and play my TS3 game a bit! Gosh, I've hardly played at all, except for when I did my homeless challenge, and then I was all in to pausing for pics, etc, so I could tell the pic-spam story.

Who knows? Maybe you'll become inspired to write a S3 story! Lol!

Well, I don't have any CC and very little of the stuff from Maty. That site gives me a headache and I hate the way TS3 does CC.

Holley, it actually isn't that bad, once you get used it. I have a few hacks that stop annoyances, a few patterens, some hair, and default skin and eyes, but not very much. I don't feel the need for as much cc for TS3 because of being able to choose different colors/patterns for most things. You know, I thought about trying to do a TS3 story, but in order to do that for what I'm thinking I may want to write next, I'd have to replicate a few of my TS2 sims to TS3 and I just don't think I can and make them look right...lol. That would be a real challenge for me.

I don't know why Tina, your so good at making sims on S3! Jo, I'm with you! I have 0 patches on my game, so the article is very fishy to me! It's like they are going to force you to patch in order to enjoy the game, and all CC! Thats not right! The last time I had to restore this god darn Vista, is when I uploaded the first patch! I really DON'T want any patch on my game! I have over 2000 files of CC for S3, and there not giving me a problem at all, so I'm going to stick with what is safe!!

I've been collecting cc hair, mostly. Just that, and the Sims3 Store stuff from Maty. I don't like that site either, but they have the Store thread organized pretty well.
I've also had an eye towards recreating S2 sims in S3, and have been gathering hair to do that with. I don't know if my re-creating skills are up to it, but if I figure out the faces, the hair is the next biggest thing. I found one sim on S3 Ex that has the hair I want, but being custom means it wouldn't come with the sim anyway. And being the S3 Ex, you can't message the creator to find out where they got it! Arg!

There is a hair thread at MATY, too, that has links to a bunch of cc hair. I found conversions at MTS that makes all the hair for adults in TS3 also available for toddlers and children. I don't know WTH EAxis could have been thinking to put so few hair choices for the little ones! I also have few hairs I found at MTS which have been converted from TS2 cc to work in TS3. Of course, I don't have any hair that is like the ones on any of my sims I'd like to remake for TS3.

You can go to "Garden of Shadows" and request a style of hair be made! The catigory is Wish on a star: www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?board=68.0Then you give them a Picture of the hair you would like to have. They will eather tell you where to find it, or make it for you. That's where I get most of my hair! Hey Jilly, put a pic here so I can see it! Heck, I might even have the hair you need!
