I have a teen sim about to age to young adult. If Imove him out how do I play his house? Do I need to start a new game from the main Menu, and if so will his family be in the game?

On options, go to 'Edit Town' Then on the bottom left hand gadget looking thing there is a button that says switch active household.

Oh yeah.. DON'T do like Jill somehow, even though she says she didn't hit 'start new game'...lol, and have different games going. A new game means just that... a NEW game! *goes to get bandages for my poor bunny's head*

But if i change active houses I see they lose their saved wishes AND their Inventory I might just keep him at home for awhile... Maybe set the lifespan longer... i hope they fix that.

What I've done is make sure all the big-point wishes have been filled first, remove anything from their inventories you don't want them to lose, and then switch active households. I don't mind losing the wishes too much, but that inventory thing really blows! They really do need to fix that. I mean, it wouldn't matter at all if you NEVER intended to play that house again, but since most simmers DO want to jump around a bit, it DOES matter, big time! Stupid EAxis! Damn that Rod Humble!

Great idea... just take the stuff out of inventory and put in the house somewhere. I think after baby #4 the only BIG wish i need to fulfil is one more promotion for Gage.

I don't even want to think about all the stuff I lost from Candy and Billy's inventories. I thought when I changed over to the simself house I was just losing wishes. So if I pull them out and place the things on the ground I won't loose them? Bit late for that now. *sigh*

I lost a bunch of stuff, too. You're right - they only tell you about losing the wishes. Just for kicks, I hit the "New Game" button, and it asked me to choose between Riverview & Sunset Valley. I haven't figured which games to delete from my 4 slots yet to start a Riverview game, so I didn't choose. (Tina had asked me about Riverview a while back)

I still can't figure out how you got those all filled up without hitting the 'start new game' button. *starts humming 'The Twilight Zone' theme.

I'm a bit confused over this four slot thing, i have more then 4 games in mine. 1 Simself, 2 Crazy loon, 3 Riverview Ice cream legacy, 4 Homeless guy 5 One I called diff families as I am trying to play one playable house per sim day.

I swear I never did. I wanted everyone to be in the same game. I think I used "Save as" for the very first save, cuz I remember typing in the Newsome's name, but other than that, it's always regular "Save", or "Save and Quit". The good news is, I found one of the games where Gunther and Cornilia Goth were still adults, so I saved a copy of them in my sim bin. I really wanted more time with them, and was so bummed that by the time I got to them, they were elders. Now, someday, I can start them all over again.

Yeah that "new game" thing is a bit confusing. i think I get it now. "New game" is starting with a fresh, unplayed neighborhood. If you want them all in the same neighborhood you need to switch active household, right?

LOL... Jill, you can start them all over again anyway... anytime, by just 'starting a new game' in Sunset Valley. Also, by choosing 'save as' and typing in the Newsomes' name, THAT saved it as a 'new game'. That's right, Holley. Hmmm, Jo, so you have MORE than four slots? That must mean that once the four orginal slots are used, the game makes more if want them.
