Your welcome! All you have to do is make sure that when you add an avatar, the size is 100x100... default seems to be 65x65 if you do nothing for some reason.

Hi Guys! It wasn't AL that crashed me. I was afraid of the FT patch, since the Season's patch totally fubared me. That was the first time it went down, & things were never quite right after that, but I installed FT, hoping that there was an updated patch for seasons in it that would fix things. But things got worse & worse until it finally crashed. You all helped me figure that it was either something I got in a download, or a hack I had that wasn't updated for FT that actually brought me down. (I only had one hack at the time - the rejuvenation chamber by Simslice)After it actually crashed, dh bought me AL, which I was scared to install with everything else that was going on. He tinkered with it while I was at work, and not only installed the FT patch I was so frightened of, but AL too. The problems I'm having now are from my Moon Island lots that were installed before the crash. To fix it, I dumped a ton of downloads out of my downloads folder. If I couldn't identify it, I took it out. I had to re-download each sim or lot to get them to work properly. Because I was in the middle of my story, I only did the houses & sims that I was currently using. I need to take the time to do them all. I still have all the lots, because I saved them to a flash drive stick & opened them from there.

AL has been fine for me - the only difference I've seen is that all the sims want to hug eachother - whether they know eachother or not. I haven't gotten to do the witch thing yet, or even an apartment, really, because I'm still working with the story. I have the "extra" sims from the story in an apartment, but I don't play them there. I haven't installed the AL patch, and probably won't anytime soon. Once the story is done, & I actually get to play, I may change my mind later, but for now, no way!

As for the Sims 3, I won't be an early buyer. I wouldn't have room on my laptop for both, so I'd have to uninstall Sims 2, and I'm just not ready to let go. I waited for this one until the 1st 2 expansions were out. I figured by then, most of the bugs would be addressed. If it's a Sims game, there WILL be a patch. (or 2, or 3, or...)

You can bet that's right, Jilly! Patches are a definitely a trademark with the sims!

Well as most of you may know.. I have NO games installed on this computer right now... But I will soon, hopefully...lol I still have never installed AL, but I just may bite the bullet and do it while I'm installing the rest, that is, if they have the fix I'm looking for out yet. I can't STAND the idea that they overwrote the NL hood building for a stupid condo that came with AL! How ridiculously stupid of them!

I won't be installing any EA patches. I am sticking to third party hacks such as those found at MATY.

If JM Pescado reccomends a patch, I'll patch. Right now I have all the patches that EA released and I have no problems in my game at all. When that first Bon Voyage patch came out, I didn't touch it because JM said all it mostly did was update sucUrom...

I've been busy here and in RL, so I haven't spent as much time at MATY reading as I used to... I used to spend more time there than playing my game until I got really into story writing....
