How do you feel about The Sims 3? Gonna rush right out and buy it, or take a wait and see approach? As for me... I am definitely not going to hop right on the bandwagon for that one. I'll wait and see what other people are saying about it first. One thing I know for sure is I am NOT going to give up my Sims 2 games! I've spent too much money on this series to just let it sit around collecting dust..lol! Besides, I can finally feel like I have a complete game, exactly the way I want it without having to run around looking for updated hacks/custom content every six months!

I'll probably buy it the day it comes out. no way I'll DEFINITELY buy ity the day it comes out. I can't control myself. I can't say I won't stop playing with the sims 2. I abandonned the sims 1. I'll try not to abandon my poor simmies this time (there are a lot of them I really like so I'll probably keep playing )

Yea... the sims 1 was WAY not as good as the sims 2! I don't believe it's going to be quite as much difference, at least in the graphics department between 2 and 3 so I can't see myself abandoning my simmies. Especially since there's still SO MANY things I haven't even done in the game!

Actually I didn't get the sims 2 until after Uni came out....lol. I remember getting the sims 2 and then about a week later I went and bought uni to go with it. I'm very glad too because I missed that massive 'jump bug' that every speaks about before the base game patch... Before that, when I first heard about the sims 2 and the fact they would die of old age, I wasn't too crazy about the idea...lol I get attached to my little simmies! But then after playing and seeing how much better it was than The Sims, I could NOT go back to my sims of the olden days!

If you do a search on the BBS about base game bugs, I'm sure you'll find loads of them! Or... go read what all the base game patch fixes on the site. It's chock full of goodies...lol

Like I've said before, it could be partially because you didn't know something was wrong. With lots of bugs, you have to do certain things in the game to know it's bugged. I know there's lots of folks that complain about certain problems that I never had, but then I never did what they did. Also lots of times people don't update their hacks and what they think is a bug is just incompatablity, or conflicts.. There are some aspects of The Sims that I am pretty excited and curious about, but others I'm not so sure. Either way, I will be reading what others think before I run out and buy it.

Heck I've never had a werewolf and look how long they've been around! There's just something about them that I have no interest in playing. I think it would be cooler if if the sims had moon cycles and they only turned when the moon was full (like how it is in REAL life...lol)! hehe

Hehehe... I have JM Pescado's lot debugger and TwoJeff's college adjuster. Both of those have an option to turn sims into vamps and werewolves. It makes things so easy! It's great for stories too! That's how Louis keeps changing from 'vamp' form to human form in different scenes!

I think I'll just buy Sims 2 Complete Edition -- and then start back up with collecting EPs when TS3 comes out.
