Ok so how did I miss that Jills crash was due to AL? Now that just makes me more scared to put it on. Because I couldn't run the game after putting the FT patch on. I have no idea how to get around sucyrom. If I could get Roxie Creator off would that fix it so it could run?
Tina how do you not have sucyrom? Umm in English?

Tina how do you not have sucyrom? Umm in English? Well it's pretty simple really... that is if you don't let yourself get it in the first place.  There's a whole thread over at Matey that explains how to get rid of it, but if it's already caused bad things in your computer, it doesn't help much. The best way is if you decide to reformat your computer, when you install the games back, DO NOT ever use the launcher to start your game. You can get a no cd crack from GameCopyWorld and put it where your original exe. file is in your Sims 2 folder in programs. You just rename the original with a .bak at the end because you don't wantt to lose it. You have to have it when installing new expansions and patches. Once the new executable is in place (I'll tell you the path and all that if you ever decide to do it), you right click on it and send it to your desktop as a shortcut. Then you always click on that to open the game and you never have to put your cd back in the drive. It's pretty cool, really! I'd never go back to doing it the other way... maybe even if there was no securom. My cd is always safe and sound in its case. ;D |

Tina you may a well be telling me how to run the shuttle. I have no hope. I can't even figure all our remotes out let alone computer instructions. I turn it on, I play sims, I send emails and I shop!  If I uninstall Roxie (have to figure out even how to do that *sob* ) will that make sucyrom happy at least so it doesn't crash? Roxie was why the patch wouldn't run...well I asume it was. It was some Emuwhatever software conflict and I was told that would be it as my computer has it. |

Well, I really don't know the answer to that question Jo...  Like I said somewhere else, I am certainly not a computer nerd. I am learning new stuff almost every day though. I guess it wouldn't hurt anything to uninstall it and try it. You may end up having to reformat eventually to fix your troubles. If you do, just let me know and I can step by step (with pictures if necessary) help you get your games back on without suck-u-rom! |

Lol hun I don't offend that easily. I'm an Aussie, the land of the impolitcly correct, she'l be right mate, Vegemite eaters. ;D Here is my photobucket page. Thanks.  I made all of them except for my mums 80th cake. I had that professionally done. I always make my kids a special birthday cake. I have to make darling daughter a Dalmatian puppy from 101 Dalmatians ..or so I've been told lol. Just adding (see i told ya I do this allll the time) Tina did you enlarge my avator, thanks!
