A Sims 3 Review!

The relationships bug me the most. I don't like the new options for interacting with other sims. If you use a "friendly" interaction 3x in a row, the other sim becomes bored with you. Plus, you can't see how you're doing building the relationship. I don't want to look at a tiny green bar, I want to see the points so I know where I'm at!

I'm stupid - excited to go home tonight & play! DH has training to go to & shouldn't (I hope) be home until around nine. I'm planning to check out the cemetery tonight for ghosts & whatever else happens to dwell there.

Okay, so how long does it take for your uploaded sim to show in your avatar list? I made a simself just so I could use it as my avatar on the site and uploaded it. It's there, but it's not available to use as an avatar! I'm hoping it will be in the list later, or is there something else I need to do to get it to show?

I just noticed it's showing as a household instead of a sim. Was I supposed to upload her from CAS or something? lol

I think that's the only way to do it - from CAS. As far as I could tell, there was no body shop, and if you put them on a lot, I think that's how they show up as a household. (I think)
I did mine from CAS. I think your sims should still be stored in CAS. (I think) Lol!

Also, Since I'm going ghost hunting tonight, I found some hacks over at MTS that may be useful. (It let me sign up as a new user from my work address, and I downloaded these onto my nifty Sims 3 flash drive.)

Can you believe they give you playable ghosts, but still have all the sims, (AND other ghosts) react badly to them? Of course you can! Lol!

Well I did it! I had to remake her because she wasn't stored in CAS as far as I could tell. But I remade her and now I have a unique avatar over there. I hated that default one I had before...lol

I am not going to download anything at all until I get the hang of playing this game for a bit. When I do start downloading/installing, I want to make sure that things don't get all messed up and unorganized so that I'm confused later as to what is what.

Yeah, they had a downloader over @ MTS, but it wouldn't work with Sim3.pack, you still have to use the launcher for those. Better to wait & have some order from the begining.

Oh man, I sat at my computer playing my simself until my feet were swollen enough to pop open! I finally forced myself to turn it off and I'm typing this from my recliner on my laptop. lol

The game is pretty interesting. my poor simself only had 25 dollars to her name when she moved into her house and I'm not using money cheats, but she is happy enough right now, although she wants to learn to play the guitar and I can't afford to buy one or to take lessons yet. She wanted a job in the political career, so I got her one. Later I switched it to music.

I still want to play, but I just can't sit there any longer right now. lol

So how much room does it take? And are you sure it hasn't put sucurom on anywhere? Did you manage to make a sim who doesn't look like dough?

Jo, I don't know how many times I have to tell you that the disc does NOT install suckyrom on your computer...lol. It requires about 8 gigs of space, including room in your documents for saved games, etc.

I think the simself I made looks pretty good and not like playdoh. I will take a pic next time I'm in game to post.

Well I know you said that. But how do you know that, is what I am after. Could Harley explain how it can be on there and still be ok? I'm thoroughly scared of that thing.

I know it because I've been reading on Maty about what JMP has to say about the game for about two weeks now. I've read and researched until my eyes bled...

Also, I have installed it and I do not see securom anywhere. Harley doesn't play the sims, so it's not his area of expertise. It's not on my computer because this version of securom is disc-based, so it stays on the disc and does NOT install on your computer.

There is a no cd crack for it, but I haven't been using that yet because I believe by using that, you won't be able to upload or download from the exchange because all that is done through the launcher. Eventually I may use it because I don't really care about uploading or downloading to and from the exchange that much anyway and I'd rather not wear out my disc...lol.

If you are still really worried about it, go to Maty and read everything I've read. Those people over there are really smart as well as smartassed...

Oh Holley... it's anything but dark over here. There are beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the tree leaves blow gently in the breeze, and the moon is big and bright!

The scenery is SO beautiful in my game that it almost takes my breath away. I'm gathering up lots of screenshots to share.

Hey Holley I'm still in the light with you!
I am not paying $88 plus for what would be a side game. Of course when I get it I might change my mind. But I simply can not get into the look of these new sims from the screen shots.

Tina, thanks for the link. That was just the kind of thing I wanted to read. No gobbdegook to confuse me. The hard drive issue is maybe a slight concern so I will be watching what you guys say in the months to come. But it seems like EA may have finally got it's act together on the sucurom issue and done it in such a way that it won't hurt paying customers. May wonders never cease!
