Yeah, apparently the new hood is stuffed full of Pleasantview ancestors. Bella and crew are all just young children/toddlers when the hood begins. This is apparently after she's grown up. Ack!!

I had heard they were starting Pleasantview when Bella and Mortimer were younger. You can do that now with a few cheats if you want.

Since the hood playes without you, I'm wondering if Bella and Mortimer will grow up to marry each other if you leave them alone. The curiosity about this game is starting to kill me...lol

@pixx! ;D Well, the more I read about this game, the more confused I get. I'm not sure if there is more good or more bad in it...lol. Genetics are borked it seems. You can't actually go inside any community lots with your sims. I could care less about grocery stores, clothiing shops, etc, but going into restaurants on dates, etc is fun to me. They're probably saving that option so they can sell it to us in a future expansion.

[glow=red,2,300]Obviously they have not made enough money off their very loyal customers![/glow] & need more, don't they know that if it was not for us buying in the first place, they would not be were they are,the concept was brilliant! but the execution was very poor & lacking in all arrears! & all the fixes have come from those loyal gamers! ???there game play was also more or less dictated by the general public! ~PS~The only thing I like so far is the scenery!

Bella Goth Well for me, I would/will get it if I can run it with TS2, if it's sucrom free or there is a crack for that; if I can install as often as I need to and if it gets cheap. I'm not paying $60 + Aussie dollars for ugly playdough people, no matter how cool their interactions are. It's like the scenery is so awesome and then they just couldn't be bothered with the actual sims.

Sometimes, they look really good - in some of those movies they look good. But then you see a still and you think, eewww! I didn't pick up my preorder. I don't like the limits on loading the game, I hate the whole lack of stuff/limited for pay cc. I'm still on the fence. I wouldn't load it until I finish my story anyway.

Well, I am NOT giving up my sims 2 for anything! I spent too much money on all these games to just uninstall them, like a lot of dumbasses are doing...LOL. I have a good enough computer to have both, so if I get it, I will have a choice of games to play. I have to admit that the curiosity is getting to me now...lol I am reading everything I can about the game and it's giving me a headache...lol. From what I've read, the downloads work totally different than the sims 2, so I have a lot of learning to do on that front..lol. I am not going to jump into this thing blindly.

I just finished watching the trailer for 'Riverview' a down loadable Sims 3 hood you can only get at the Sims 3 site on line! It looks like a previous Casanova is back! & doing what he does best!

Yeah, but he doesn't look nearly as good as before. Check out Maegnas' thread about 'The new Don Lothario'.

I just had my first Sims 3 baby this morning. I'll post the pics when I get home tonight. I gotta say, the baby is wicked cute. The only thing I don't like is that they stay wrapped up in a blanket the whole time. You see from, like the belly up. So none of the actions that came with the baby stuff that they pulled out of AL are here. A lot of the same cheats work - the ones I've tried so far have, but I didn't try forcetwins yet. I figured I'd better see the mechanics of raising them before I filled up a house. Thank God "motherlode" still works! Lol! (still haven't screwed up the courage to look into "boolProp" yet!

There is no 'boolProp' really in this game. Now you just type in 'testingcheatsenabled true to bring up debug mode. Well, I have my game installed and I played around a bit in the tutorial last night. It is definitely different! I really despise change, so it's going to take me a while to get used to this thing, especially the new look of the control panel.
