Hey Sue, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading and commenting! ;D
The segment continues....
Back at the homeless shelter, Jillyson breaks the shower.
While Holley repairs the shower that Jillyson broke....
I am enjoying a deliciously hot bath at Jon Lesson's house.
As Sue frowns in concentration over the chess table, wondering why it's taking so long to build her skills...
I am enjoying the closeness and warmth of a hot rock star!
Meanwhile, back at the Simovitch household, Sawyer spots a large, beautiful vase and decides to swipe it!
Sawyer must be a sympathetic swiper because he immediately had the desire to return the stolen vase...lol
In the meantime, I was getting in a bit of 'snuggle time' with Jon Lesson. I couldn't think of a better way to get close to him...
Except for one. While I was 'sealing the deal'....
Sawyer was being asked to leave by Fatima Simovitch. She wasn't happy about her missing vase!
Meanwhile, Mae had been kicked out of the Shelly household. As she played for tips at 2:00am in her pajamas, actually earning $26....
I snuggled against a warm, masculine, body to enjoy a great night's sleep in an awesomely comfortable bed while....
My poor, unfortunate, fellow simselves curled up on their usual hard, wooden park benches.
Lynda, however, woke to contemplate her surroundings. Knowing that I must be in a soft bed somewhere, she
fantasized about being able to put a curse on me. "It should be me!" she growled angrily under her breath.
A new day was dawning and things were looking up for the simselves without a home. While I was stirring,
soon to wake from a great night's sleep spent in my new love's arms....
Jo was tending to her first love... the garden. As she revived another dead plant, she wondered how soon a garden
would grow in the new home she would be moving into soon.
I rose before Jon, so I went downstairs to watch a bit television. I, of course, decided to watch the cooking channel!
As selfish and self-centered as my spending so much time at Jon's place may seem to an observer,
I really was doing it for the good of the group... no, really! It was taking SO LONG to gain cooking skills
by only being able to cook hot dogs and hamburgers on a grill, so having access to a stove was a
great bonus. I did a LOT more cooking than the illustrations show. I decided to slip in a quick shower
before Jon woke, so I padded quietly up the stairs and headed into the bathroom.
Suddenly, I felt the tiny hairs on the back of my neck stand up, sending a strange tingling sensation down my
spine When I stepped from the shower, I saw Jon standing there, glaring at me as if I had done something wrong!
Really! After all the great cooking, cuddling, and woohoo, did he really find it inappropriate for me to use his
shower? It really creeped me out! I found myself apologizing before leaving to go back to where I belong.
While I had been snuggled up in Jon's bed, the other simselves gathered around Mae, enjoying her mad guitar skills.
As the only male simself in the group, the ever-popular Sawyer received some special attention from Holley
and Lynda before turning in that evening. Lynda: "Move out the way, Holley, it's MY turn!"
When I returned from Jon's, I decided to finish up a painting on which I had been working, my most colorful project yet!
That evening, everyone headed over to the warehouse for a delicious meal of.... cheeseburgers! We were joined
by several of our neighbors, so it turned into a regular party of sorts. Tina: "So kid, my advice to you
is to stay in school so you don't wind up without a place to call home!"
Jill, mumbling: "You got that right!" She thought if she ever saw another burger or hot dog, it would be too soon!
Lynda approached the elderly Mr. Shallow with the pretense of being interested in how many books he had on his
shelf, while poor Jo, between all the gardening and her part-time job, didn't know if she was more tired
or more hungry. Of course, Jillyson was discussing her writing, which was coming along quite nicely.
Soon, it was time to head back into our tedious, shelter-less world where I began painting a new masterpiece.
Sue: "I tell you, I just can't take it much longer! Oh, if we only had some light for comfort at night around this
dreadful, God-forsaken place!" I felt bad for her, but I was at a loss for words. I suggested that she try to get some sleep,
since she had been commissioned to give a lecture about logic at the school tomorrow.
While Sue went back to her bench and tried to sleep, Mae and Holly conversed in the bathroom.
Mae: "I am SO sick of sleeping on wooden benches, I'd like to cut them all up and use them as firewood!"
Holley: "I'll supply the saw!" They both had a good laugh at that, knowing they wouldn't have to much longer.
Tossing, turning, and groaning on her bench, poor Sue just couldn't seem to get to sleep that night.
Her eyes widened in surprise when she noticed a glowing spot in the garden and she got up and ran toward it.
She had hoped the glow of the flame fruits and life fruits would make her fear of the dark disappear, but it
just wasn't enough and she began to cry softly. Suddenly, she felt herself being pulled into a friendly hug.
Jo: "Shh, it's ok, Sue! I am here. We all are! It will be okay. Soon, we'll have a house with lights everywhere!"
Jo smiled wistfully as she looked around the beautiful garden she had grown and hoped that she'd soon have one
just as grand in her new place, especially a money tree. Sue thought she could never have a better friend than
Jo. Jo always seemed to know what to say to make her feel better. Soon, she was sleeping soundly.
The morning found Lynda and Sawyer cuddling together on the bench
Meanwhile, almost everyone else had gathered around Mae to listen to her play. It was surprising to see her guitar
case laid out for tips. Really, Mae, what sort of tips are you expecting from this bunch?
Jillyson had slipped away early to work some more on her novel. Her fiction novel was finished and not doing badly!
Jillyson was really on a roll! Shortly after the completion of her fiction novel, her newest sci-fi novel was done and going strong!
By this point, the simselves had actually earned enough cash to move into the Super Duper Shack a good little
while ago, but I was a woman on a mission. Since they had the money, I considered the challenge basically
over, but I had plans to turn the lot into a community lot after their move. I wanted the park to
have a really cool garden with a big variety of plants so... I bent the rules and allowed Jo to bring home
an egg and a hunk of cheese from the market. Those items resulted in these these two plants:
After the egg and the block of cheese was planted, the simselves had to hang around the lot longer than
necessary in order to give the plants time to grow, so life continued basically as usual. Sue delivered her
lecture at the school and then decided to hang out on the swings afterward.
Mae was in desperate need of some more acquaintances in order to raise her never-ending quest for charismatic skill
points. She hurried downtown to meet some people and then got very tired, so she took a nap on a bench.
I, also, continued my life in my usual fashion. Gaining higher cooking skills was on my mind more often than not.
I was so desperate to get better at cooking that I could almost taste the grilled salmon! Needing a stove,
I hurried over to Jon's place. My heart sank when I found him not at home. I just HAD to find a stove and get
some rest! Well, Jon, when you snooze, you lose! My thoughts drifted on to the next place I could find a bed and
stove. As I began to walk on, a vision formed in my mind of the easiest man I know, in fact, the easiest man in town.
Don Lothario was so easy that it took hardly any time at all for me to begin kneading him in my hands like a
lump of clay A sharp pang of guilt stabbed me in the heart when I thought of Jon because he was the man
with whom I really wanted to be, but I was forced to take what was available to me. After all this time, I
still only had seven cooking points, so I was desperate! One thing led to another and soon...
Don I were doing the tango for two between the sheets.
It seems that although Don liked me enough to woohoo, he didn't like me enough to actually go sleep in the bed
with me, so while I slept, he only curled up for nap. While I was there, I did as much cooking as possible.
I stayed with Don for two nights and a whole day. No matter how tired he was, he never turned down
a chance to woohoo. While I slept on the second night, he actually stood in his bathroom all night
because of his refusal to sleep in the bed with me!
For some reason, even though we had been quite intimate, Don did not like for me to use his shower.
He would stand there, just staring at me with an annoyed expression on his face. I pretended not to notice.
After my shower, I prepared a nice breakfast. As we ate, I told him how much I appreciated his hospitality,
but that once I left, I wouldn't be back. He understood when I told him about my interest in Jon, and he
actually looked relieved that I wasn't interested in a more permanent relationship with him. My time as
a homeless sim was nearly over and I wouldn't be needing Don's bed and stove anymore. Soon, I would
have my very own! I kissed Don lightly on his lips and hurried back to join my friends.
Moving day had arrived AND I had finished my greatest masterpiece to date! I had been painting for less time than
I had been cooking, but my painting skills were almost equal to my cooking skills already. Even the time at Don's
didn't get me to eight! Though this one has a hefty price tag attached to it, I decided not to sell it. No, this one
would hang in an honored place in our new home. This is my interpretation of the place we have lived for so long.
I call it, 'Humble Beginnings'. It will serve as a reminder how far we have come. I packed it andthe easel,
and then run toward the waiting shuttle. My friends and my new life are waiting for me.
Okay folks, that's all she wrote...lol! But, stay tuned for the tale of the moving day events, which is coming next!
